We have another preview for an upcoming IDW Transformers release, though this one comes via iTunes screenshots - Sins of the Wreckers #3 begins to unfold in the mirrored images below. Check them out, and keep an optic out in the next couple of weeks for the full preview!

Mesothulas really reminds me of Armada Sideways rather than Tarantulas as some had speculated.

But then they are both agents of Unicron. Nothing saying they can't all be the same individual.

Considering he's likely got some kind of bio-disguise like the Mayhem squad, he's both.

Mesothulas's head is pretty clearly the non-mutant head from the original Tarantulas figure.

There's just so much of both, though, and with the Noisemaze concept introduced in there, perhaps there is a foundation to believing in a Sideways/Tarantulas merge of characters. They're both a motorbike (in Transmetal body for the latter), they share interests - I think it could work. :-?

(Someone else said it above/in the podcast too, I just can't find it right now!)

Also, Prowl is definitely about to shove him into the Noisemaze.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it can't be a merging of characters. The colourscheme, while shared between both anyway, definitely skews more towards a Sideways-esque layout. I was merely pointing out that the head design is pulled straight from the Tarantulas toy. The Noisemaze name drop certainly lends some Sideways elements to the equation, as well. Thing about Sideways is, he's such a convoluted character with his supposed dimension-hopping, that some out there have theorized that BW Tarantulas was just Sideways in another universe, anyway. So it definitely works.

Well, we know what the purpose of Hubcap is now.

All those funky wavelengths in his head (and probably his inbuilt communications filters and systems) just made him the underdog hero for the time being.

Or maybe he's actually a traitor.

Sincere apologies for the doublepost, but I just noticed something rather interesting about Mesothulas.

Not only does he remind me of a darker counterpart to Brainstorm in personality, he appears to share the penchant for devastating weaponry as well. If you look in the top-right corner of the first page? That looks an awful lot like the Protoform X pod. There's some other nice possible touches here too. Next to that weird pillar thing in the center, there are three bodies connected to each other through chestports. Their overall shape looks a lot like the Reflector trio.

And here's some real conspiracy-level stuff: The protoform in the weird pillar thing in the center actually looks quite a bit like Rung. Seriously. Look at the eye placement, the central torso design...It's a bit of a stretch, but there's something there.

I just want to know what Pipes has to do with it. He was buddies with Hubcap - maybe Overlord's stompy murder time with Pipes wasn't as random as we all thought? Just a fun thing to think about.

Because being reminded of their deaths sucks. Seriously, they made most of the Wreckers in LSOTW so likable and proceeded to kill some of the best ones off.

So Mesothulas IS Tarantulas, surprising nobody.

Also, the fact that the Noisemaze isn't affecting Hubcap makes me think he's going to turn out to be a traitor. Too bad. I like seeing more of the Minibots in fiction, and not killed off after a couple of appearances *Cough*Bumper*Cough*

It is obvious that Hubcap is either immune to the effects of the Noizemaze or more likely is a traitor.

I know that the article says that there are maybe spoilers but I'm pretty sure those are major spoilers including the reveal of Tarantulas and Hubcap's suspicious position.

I doubt we'll get one but it does look amazing. Maybe someday but with Hasbro in full blown gimmick mode again I don't see it happening. First combiners, now (head)masters, I'm really hoping the next one will be the return of Armada style minicons. We got some but I want them back in full force.

The original Transmetal Tarantulus still holds up enough to have him with Generations figures too in my opinion.

I'm loving Tarantulus. He was my first beast wars toy so there's a very special place in my heart for him but I am struggling with this series. It's good but it is not a wreckers story and I feel everyone is so out of character. I let Kup slide because his head is all messed up from what's happening to Prowl but Arcee and Impactor are just awful. 1. I hate Arcee's face. Said it before, nick you are a wonderful artist but female faces are not your strength. 2. She's just a b**** in this for no good reason. Impactor is just weird in this comic, I'm having a real hard time seeing Impactor and how he's acting. Really need a scene with him and Springer reconciling. They haven't done that and while Impactor did forgive Springer by the end of LSTOW he didn't forgive him to his face

Really not a sins of wreckers(yet) and more sins of prowl which, hey, it's prowl. His nickname is Prick to the fandom.

The design for Tarantulas is fantastic, I'd love a toy of it (probably won't happen, but one can dream...), and Mesothulas kind of reminds me of the TFCC Subscription service Tarantulas.

Exactly. they're not being forced to do anything. its an option for IDW to participate in these lines. its shows that the comics once again matter and it allows IDW to show what they're doing to a wider audience that doesn't read comics. Thats why IDW joins in and its not damaging their books what so ever.

IDW did thew Beast Wars series(Gathering Ascension and the Source books) and for the past three years theyve been bringing in BW characters to their G1 universe.

No, dude, D-Max is saying the could, potentially, kill ONE of those three. Not that they'll kill all of them, or even any of them. Like, pick one of those three; now he's dead, but the other two are still alive. Capisce?

On the other hand, they very well COULD kill all three of them. Roche is no stranger to breaking hearts. We won't really know until Wednesday. Except for Frikkin Va'al.

Going based on his previous works, I expect a death in issue 3. That happened in last stand and I think it will happen here.

And unfortunately, Twitter spoiler one of those 3 as surviving because some numb nut put it on twitter and roche shared it in disgust that it was a spoiler. Stay away from twitter!
