Shane has done freelance writing work for other comic book companies such as Dark Horse and DC. Titles he has worked on include: Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight, Detective Comics, and Zombies: Feast.

My guess is either a stand-alone Animated Comic, or even another Evolutions style book. I could stretch it and say a "classics" based book, but I highly doubt it.

I suspect he's doing a Spotlight issue. By my count they've had a different artist for each one so far.

Ah, I see.

McCarthy is a writer, not an artist, so he would only be writing a Spotlight if he did it. With Furman having a near deathlike grip on IDW's main story, I doubt IDW would be bringing in more outside writers to do his work for him...
