Why is it sad news? The season finales are always awesome moments we all look forward to. If this was the end of the show for good, then yeah that would be sad. But there is a fourth season coming, so it isn't the end. It's the big climax we've been waiting for and ought to be great. I can't speak for anyone else, but I sure don't want a sad season finale, I want this season to go out on a high note of awesome once again.LOST Cybertronian wrote:There is some sad news for Transformers Rescue Bots fans.

Sure there is! What am I gonna watch next weekend? Imma miss having Rescue Bots for six months.
Its like Reese's. They're awesome, but when the pack is empty you still want another one.

Episode 77 -
An old newsreel (sponsored by Luskey's Hair Tonic) reports the burying of a time capsule 75 years ago. Present at the burial are Dr. Morocco, the young Mrs. Neederlander as a child, and Dr. Elma Hendrickson (who spearheaded the effort). The time capsule was buried under the statue of Horace Burns.
Cody and Frankie are using the newsreel for a school project about the unearthing of the time capsule the following day.
There is no record of what was buried in the time capsule.
Heatwave remarks about how long the Bots have been on the island yet it's still not ready to accept alien visitors (hence the Bots' have had to pretend to be machines all this time).
Chief, Doc, and Chase are searching for diamonds in an old mine, using Doc's Gemstone Detector to locate them. They're looking for one to create a special engagement ring for Anna. As in Anna Baranova. Holy cow, Doc's gonna propose! I didn't realize they were that serious yet! Though, we haven't seen her since the episode where Quarry captured her, but still! This is big!
The three have fallen down a deeper mine shaft!
Yes! Full theme song!
Phew! Chase caught them.
Doc's found not one but two kinds of gemstones in the lower chamber. He refers to the second one as a rare form of some gem called "Reactolene".
His Gemstone Detector detects several veins of reactolene running under the entire island. Doc's only encountered one other specimen of this caliber in an ancient statue displayed at the museum. He;s always wanted to experiment on it, but it's much too valuable. Chief has Chase grab the rock to take back with them.
A mob has gathered in front of the firehouse to show Chief what items they want put into the new time capsule.
Tomorrow is official "Dig-up-an-old-time-capsule-and-bury-a-new-one Day".
Heatwave reminds the team that, in spite of everything the Bots have done for this town, they're still seen as just rescue equipment, declaring that he and the other Bots are not a part of this town's community.
Chief figures the crowd outside will leave once a forthcoming storm arrives. He also hopes that Woodrow (who is coming over on his boat [HOORAY!]) won't get caught in it.
In Doc's testing the reactolene, he finds that it's so conductive that it temporarily takes on the properties of whatever energy source it's exposed to.
Upon testing the reactolene's magnetic properties, the rock is not drawn towards metal, but to something else. So much so that it literally bursts out of the lab and shoots across the island toward downtown!
"Power Up and Energize!" -- Chase uses a grappler claw to snag the reactolene, but it gets free.
The reactolene smashes into the museum and strikes against a green griffin statue.
Out at sea, Woodrow was asleep at the wheel of his boat (the S.S. Close Encounter), unaware of the storm that had blown in.
His ship is sunk, and pulls him down with it. But a shadowy figure in the water swims after him.
It was High Tide! Woodrow awakens to find himself aboard the Rescue Rig with High Tide, Blurr, and Salvage keeping silent in vehicle mode, unaware of Woodrow being an Autobot ally.
Woodrow recognizes Salvage's Autobrand and reveals that he knows about Autobots.
Optimus has told Salvage about Woodrow and his underground expedition.
The three Bots are also headed to Griffin Rock. Optimus asked them to observe the time capsule ceremony as a lesson in Earth culture.
The ceremony has begun, and Doc intends to pop the question as soon as it's over.
The Bots remove the time capsule and Chief opens it. Inside is... a large crystal! With a note included.
The note reads, "Dear future citizens of Griffin Rock, I'm Dr. Elma Hendrickson. I am sorry for removing the items from the time capsule. But this quantum crystal is an important discovery, and too dangerous to fall into the wrong hands. I trust the scientists of tomorrow will be much more responsible with it."
In the flashback, Dr. Morocco is seen watching as Elma inserts the crystal into the time capsule.
Frankie recalls that it only took a tiny bit of quantum crystal to power Doc's teleportation device, the one from the season 2 premiere that zapped the MHQ all over town. With a crystal this big, however, there's no telling what it's capable of. The mayor asks if the island shoulbe evacuated, but is instead recommended to clear the area until they know what they're dealing with.
The storm gets worse. As the crystal is lifted to put it back inside the time capsule, it is struck by lightning and falls into the hole where the capsule was buried, unearthing a vein of reactolene. The quantum crystal sends a charge into the reactolene, which courses all through its veins throughout the island. The entire island is teleported away, leaving a gigantic crater in the middle of the ocean! Only the Luskeys (who were aboard their yacht), several citizens who were at the docks, and those aboard High Tide's vessel were spared from the teleportation.
The island was transported to the Arctic.
The quantum crystal was destroyed in the process.
Until they can find a way to get out of this, the island's dome will be raised (for however long its power will last), but the four dome generators must be de-iced.
Meanwhile, Woodrow, High Tide, Salvage, and Blurr rescue the adrift citizens.
"Power Up and Energize!" -- The Bots use dual-barreled water cannons to blast the generators with De-icing Foam.
The dome is up, but it's depleting the energy supplies faster than anticipated.
To be continued...
Michael Bell -- Newsreel Narrator
The woman who yelps when Salvage scoops her up is uncredited.
Hoo boy. Things are really looking bleak in this one. In fact, this who episode has had a very serious, even at times grim, tone to it. The reveal of the quantum crystal in the time capsule was unexpected, as I was thinking the shocked reaction to opening it was going to be an empty tim capsule. But instead, we got something more surprising and really dangerous. I can't help but wonder if the quantum crystal might actually be energon. On the more upside, however, this episode dived hard and fast into something that this show does really well: Worldbuilding. We got more of Griffin Rock's history and special qualities with the time capsule, the flashback to Elma Hendrickson and Dr. Morocco, and the reactolene. I'm real eager to see where things go from here in the next one.
Episode 78 -
Frankie and Cody continue making their time capsule video. It is used here to recap the previous episode.
Without eternal power, the dome won't last more than a day.
Graham and Boulder has previously taken apart the Sigma for maintenance, so it's no good to go.
Dani volunteers Blades and herself to go fly out for help.
An avalanche strikes Blades upon his exit from the dome.
Short theme song.
Heatwave heads out of the dome to help Blades.
Blades refers to the Disney-Pixar film Up after Cody suggests using Floatium to fly the island home (a la tying balloons to a house to make it fly).
For propulsion and steering, Heatwave suggests using the Sigma's rocket in conjuunction with the Floatium to get the island back to Maine.
The Floatium successfully lifts the island upward, and the rocket is installed in the earth beneath the island's surface. Let's just hope that earth holds together. If it crumbles, the island will be utterly destroyed.
An Energize screwdriver (flathead) is used to screw in the rocket with some giant Philips head screws.
Griffin Rock finally gets phone reception and Woodrow is called by Chief. He tells Woodrow that the island has to line up perfectly with the hole it left when it lands, or the island could break apart.
Blurr discovers that the hole is filled with sunken debris from the docks. It'll taken days to clear it out.
Doc realizes he never got a chance to propose to Anna. Frankie encourages him to do so right now.
A huge hole just opened in the ground next to Mr. Pfeiffer's shop.
Without solid earth to support them, the underground tunnels are crumbling.
Boulder's made a map of the island's most unstable places, one of which is at Baranova's house.
The two scientists have fallen through a sinkhole, just as Doc was proposing!
Chase and Chief arrive just in time to pull them up!
Doc suggests they fill the holes with foam, and when Anna gives answers his proposal ("Yes"), Doc mistakes it for an agreement to his foam plan. But Chief and Chase help him understand. There's no kiss, though.
Something is wrong with the dome. A new sinkhole just opened up near one of the dome generators. Boulder tries to pull up the generator's power supply, but the cables give out and the power supply falls to the ocean. One-fourth of the dome shuts down and the island begins to descend prematurely.
Graham hooks up a backup battery to the generator, repairing the dome and stablizing the island, but not for long.
Griffin Rock in about an hour away from home, but they're running out of power to keep the dome up.
Heatwave suggests recruiting the citizens to manually turn the turbines at the wind farm and water dam to generate enough power to keep the dome online.
Everyone works together to get the turbines moving.
Optimus has come to assist Blurr, Salvage, and High Tide in clearing the undersea crater.
High Tide: "Working together just like old times, eh O.P.?"
Optimus: "And the stakes are just as high." -- I like this little nod to Peter Cullen and Michael Bell reunited to work together again on a TF show.
Woodrow recognizes the reactolene found on the floor of the crater.
Everyone on the island has become exhausted. They're losing power and the island's still not reach its destination yet.
The dome's giving out and the Sigma's rocket has turned off, having run out of energon. The island's falling!
The rescue team forces itself past the point of exhaustion to keep the windmills turning, restoring enough power to the dome and restablizing the island.
The Bots suggest using their own energon to keep the dome powered, even at the cost of their own lives.
Cheif contacts Optimus about the island's loss of propulsion, and he, Salvage, and Blurr use Energize hooks to tow the island to its proper location, while High Tide uses his Mega-Bot Mode to keep the seafloor clear.
The mayor, Huxley, and Captain Shaw are amazed by the sight of High Tide's Mega-Bot Mode.
The four Rescue Bots are fading fast.
Doc, Frankie, and Anna magnetize the reactolene to make the island return to its proper arrangement inside the crater.
Optimus has said that his team's medic (Ratchet) has seen to the Rescue Bots and has given them several energon transfusions.
They're ALIVE!
The new time capsule is ready to be closed up and buried.
Historical items that show Griffin Rock's significance were chosen to go into the time capsule, including the video Frankie and Cody made in its unedited form (which contains footage of the Bots being themselves). They hope that, in 75 years, Griffin Rock will be accepting of alien robots. Optimus agrees, and decides that the team's newest mission to help Griffin Rock becoming accepting towards the Autobots starting now.
When asked if he and his team will carry out this mission, Heatwave can only give one answer: "Rescue Bots... Roll to the Rescue!"
As the human partner board their robot partners, Woodrow boards Salvage and Cody and Servo board Blurr.
And they ride off into the sunset.
Gotta admit, that was really something. It was gripping suspense with trying to keep the island's dome powered en route back to Maine, topped off with a very touching ending. And to be perfectly honest, I wasn't sure if the Bots were going to make it. I actually considered the possibility of this show having the four of them die in their final moment of heroism. This show has just been so well done that I completely ignored the fact that this show's target audience wouldn't go for that at all. However, because of the nature of Cybertronians, we can still say that, when the four of them were depleted of energon, they were considered practically deceased. Their sparks might not have yet gone out (but very well could have), but their bodies were definitely lifeless for that time. So in a way, they did make the ultimate sacrifice, but were given a second chance at life thanks to how Cybertronian death differs from human death, being reversible in certain cases like this one. While that may feel like a cop out in theory, in execution it made for a really heartfelt turning point for the series. Speaking of turning points, thi episode has changed the status quo with the Bots now having to work to make the rest of the island accept them as people instead of as robots. And Doc's getting married!
Though, a few things from both the previous episode and "The Last of Morocco" remain unfinished. Namely that Madeline Pynch still has the Verne Device, Jules Verne's first encounter with the Rescue Bots has yet to be seen, and the whole business with the Quantum Crystal (which was not stated either way about it being energon or not) in the past with Morocco and Elma Hendrickson needs to be touched upon. Hopefully these and more will be covered in season 4, to which I look forward to watching very much. Rescue Bots... Roll to the Rescue!

From the synopsies though, this seems an interesting medium to be dealing with marraige, again given the age bracket. Not weird like the endangered species, because there's actual, relevant material (to the age range) here and has been in past episodes, with learning to accept new people to the role of parent and family. And while I worry that any more focus would be a soppy, emotional disservice to the true subjectmatter (Hint: they're 20ft tall and made of metal) I wonder too if the show migbt've benefited from another Greene centric episode like the Quarry eps not for Plot benefit, but viewership benefit. Forget comedy or nything else, that a cartoon is willing to reach out and paint actual, household topics, somewhat subtley (or not) as background plots is what makes a Cartoon good. We can laugh and cheer through a season of G1, but if a child can relate his/her Step-Mom to be to Frankie Doc and Baranova, its earned its timeslot

I found the official trailer for it here - http://www.studiomoviegrill.com/ext/trailers/TransformersRescueBots/trailer.html
And since the trailer is a YouTube video, here it is on the Shout! Kids YouTube page - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oWKwn5u2bx4
And embedded:
It seems to be a theatrical showing of the Transformers: Rescue Bots DVD Volume titled "Dinobots", which contains the season 3 episodes "Land Before Prime", "Big Game", "Quarry's Quarry", "Did You See What I Thaw?", and "The Attack of Humungado". Numerically, these episodes are episodes 53, 54, 62, 63, and 64, respectively. Within just season 3 itself, they are episodes 1, 2, 10, 11, and 12, respectively.
But since the running time given by Studio Movie Grill is just 66 minutes, based on the footage used in the trailer, it seems that only the first three episodes on the DVD will be screened.
And for those curious, these are not new episodes, as Season 3 has already finished airing.

Also the time between the end of TF Prime, current RB, and Future RID is a little sketchy. I know they are all supposed to be in an "Aligned" continuity, but without details, and different people working on each show, I really don't think Hasbro cares too much, unfortunately.

She woke up on Earth one month prior to her debut episode.
And if Bumblebee's still beeping in RB, then RB is still before RID.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad youngsters have a fun, entertaining, safe show that is well written they can enjoy, and it shouldn't be taken from them. It's just that as an adult fan who has supported the brand since the very beginning, I'd like a show I can enjoy as well. TF: Prime was a perfect example of this.
Prime should never be considered the standard that any normal TF cartoon should adhere to (especially Prime's awful first season, seasons 2-3 were much better). It was an exception to the norm.

Yes, they were actually talking about this at BC2013, his voice was *starting* to change then, but I think the recording for S2 had already finished, I'm surprised they didn't make the change for season 3, but it all worked itself out. -The Same thing happened to Andy Pessosa (Raf on TF : Prime). He had limited dialogue in S3 however, and no doubt they would have aged him also if the show had gone on.

Maybe your son and other kids who feel the same way should write to S!F? It's probably a long shot, but maybe if they hear enough demand from the target audience, they might reconsider.

Big news for Heatwave, Chase, Blades, and Boulder: in the fourth season of Discovery Family Channel’s Transformers Rescue Bots, the Autobots will not only celebrate their 100th episode, but they’ll get two new friends, including the first female Rescue Bot!
ER and Doctor Who’s Alex Kingston will guest star as Quickshadow, the first female Bot, while The Last Man on Earth and Bob’s Burgers star Kristen Schaal will provide the voice for another new Bot, Chickadee, in episodes airing later in Season 4.
The new season of the Emmy and Annie Award-nominated series premieres with back-to-back episodes on April 23. “New Normal” and Bride Building” finds the Rescue Bots forced to reveal their extraterrestrial backgrounds to the good people of Griffin Rock, when an evil alien group invades the town.
It’s up to the citizens to vote on whether or not the Bots get to stay in town, but, spoiler alert, since the rest of the season revolves around the gang completing construction of the cool new Mainland Training Center – as seen in the Season 4 trailer above – it’s probably safe to assume Heatwave and the gang will remain Griffin Rock presences for the foreseeable future.
Transformers Rescue Bots Season 4 premieres April 23 at 8 a.m. on Discovery Family Channel
