Oh that's a bit disappointing, I assumed windblade was another ongoing from the start. I'm intrigued by the new series though the title sounds ominous

So, this current Windblade Ongoing was supposed to be just that; an ongoing seires, right? Are they suddenly ending it due to negative reception of the art? Are there other factors at play here? Am I simply misremembering the purpose of the second Windblade comic?
In any case, Issue 7 seems an odd place to end a comic.

From what I can gather, it feeds into the new series, but under another name. I am not sure why they made that decision though.

If I had to take a stab, it would be about character focus. A comic called Windblade would focus on, you guessed it, Windblade. Till All Are One on the other hand can still have Windblade in it, but have other characters/storyline.
Sort of like how MTMTE is not called "Rodimus, Megatron and the Starship of Fools".

Well, yes. It's the change 'halfway' through that baffles me a little.

To be fair, I would buy a comic called rodimus, megatron and the starship of fools

To be fair,
Rodimus, Megatron and the Starship of Fools still technically encompasses the scope of the series.

To be fair, just 'The Starship of Fools' would suffice. They're all pretty messed up!

Heck I want Roberts to write it more red dwarf like, maybe an arc where rodimus, magnus, swerve (can't think of a kryten stand in at this moment in time, neither a bot to represent holly) are all aboard the lost light alone...and then comedy ensures

It sounds like they may have changed their minds on how they want the series to progress, from being completely Windblade-centric to basically being our Cybertron (and colonies) storyline while The Transformers focuses on Earth and MTMTE is out in space. Windblade vol 2 was presented as an ongoing so to hear that it's ending after less than a year is alarming. With only 3 issues left, I don't think they'll even get through their arcs on Velocitron, Eukaris, and the unnamed starship captained by Elita One, so at least one, if not both, of the latter arcs will be dealt with in TAAO. My bet is that the Velocitron storyline will take one more issue, and then Eukaris will take the final two, and the starship will kick off TAAO with a greater focus on all cybertronians.
