Our own Archatron has found a new auction for Transformers Revenge of The Fallen Voyager Optimus Prime on ebay.
This auction not only gives us a few good looks at the robot-mode but it also gives us our first clear look at the toy's box. The box-back reveals to us his bio which matches that of the Leader Class version in some spots.
From the moment Optimus Prime took earth as a new home for him and his people, he was rededicated to it's protection. Since that day he has dedicated all of his considerable will and power on rooting out the last few remaining Decepticons and destroying them. To that end, he has upgraded and refined his sensor suite, and trained with Ironhide in tracking the evil robots.

That bio sounds stupid and how can the sell possibly mistransform that truck mode?
Thanks and I know the guy is a good seller, maybe not the best transformer of the toys but a good guy nonetheless

I wonder what the japanese signs on his back is translated...
Im pretty sure its chinese, Chaoslock... but thanks to Falkorich in another thread...
Falkorich wrote:The new markings are Chinese characters.
On the hood, the larger two means "Shanghai" (the city) and the smaller two means "General Army". So I am guessing the two pairs of characters actually go together and means "General Army, Shanghai Division".
In the back, the two means General (as in military rank).

I was really concerned that Hasbro had fallen down on the job when I saw the typo in Optimus' bio. Fortunately, the actual text on the back of the box is written correctly, so I am reassured. Just a posting error here.
(For those of you who are stumped, "it's" is a contraction. It is not the possessive form of the word. There should be no apostrophe in this context. See the University of Victoria link for details: http://web.uvic.ca/wguide/Pages/UsIts.html)

As the autobot leader, Optimus prime is uber leet. Don't mess with this guy, he'll kill you. Pew-pew.

Yeah, he's been there in every single release of this mold since he first came out in 2007 for the Original Movie line.
He disappears when you open the door, courtesy of a little spring.
This mold is not new. Its the voyager mold with a slightly darker paint job. Everything else seems to be the same.

That would be a marked improvement. What a terrible bio they gave him.

I'd say it's just a simple, typical Hasbro re-paint.
