I thought the blue Drift was going be Blurr. I guess that was just speculation.Cobotron wrote:Oh! I didn't know Drift was getting a repaint in Warrior class. I wonder if his alt mode looks anything like the big 3 stepper's?

And now the hunt begins for those 3 'con figures.

I'll probably break when I see Megatronus at retail though.

RID isn't shelf warming in my area. The few that are still on pegs are the later releases like Me and Drift. You'd be hard pressed to find wave one down here.Hellscream9999 wrote:So all the figures that are already shelfwarming are going to be filling out the new cases

The RID pegs are pretty empty in general (1 or 2 figs at best). Only the CW pegs are emptier.
It'll be nice to see this varied of an assortment.

Well we know its not fur us, its for kids. And having a bee in the waves is always good. That toy sells out in my neck of the woods. Its like making sue you have a Batman toy in your line up of DC figures. And sideswipe is another kid favourite and steeljaw is the main nemesis (screen time wise). So it makes sense.

I mean that, it's been a year, all the kiddies will have gotten these figures in some form or another, and are in all likelihood ready for the villains so they can actually reenact stuff from the show; even if they haven't, it would behoove hasbro to put more than 1 of each new charcter in the cases, as that's inevitably what everyone's gonna want

You are thinking small scale. Hasbro lives on the fact that there are new 5 year olds every year. New kids get into this program or will see it on some media or will get the dvds. There re new fans all the time adn when they walk into a store, Hasbro wants them looking at these toys. An most kids only have a few characters, they dont collect whole casts. They will likly have some heros and the main villain. Villains have proven not to sell. Your lucky this wave doesnt look like every single Batman associated line I have ever seen:

Yeah I know, same goes for Lego City doing a police and fire line each year, but my point still stands that they could have packaged 2 of each new mold for the first run, then filled it out with the recolors and older figs; if hasbro is going to crap out new figures for this line 1 or 2 at a time, they could at least pack cases with enough for everyone to get them. Because, for every person that gets the new figures 6+ old ones/recolors are left on shelves or in warehouses, compound this with every person who wants them: kids + collectors = either a lot of people missing out or a lot of leftover shelf warming stuff;
Not saying you're wrong, just upset that hasbro is still making it difficult to get the cool new villains they bothered to create in the first place

But thats what is beautiful about this wave approach. Anyone who missed out on Megatronus in wave 5 can get him in wave 6 and it alternates like that.

Yeah, that's good and I hope something similar happens to Thunderhoof and peter quill - but it didn't for fracture, so maybe he'll be in wave 7; I was referring more to the really old figures; still got shelves of sideswipe, steeljaw, strongarm, and jazz

They would be dissapointed if they went all the way to the arctic to see some penguins since there are no penguins in the arctic.

Here is what chuckdawg1999 had to say about Thunderhoof:
After roughly a year we're finally getting a steady trickle of Decepticons in the Robots In Disguise line. I think out of all the Decepticons Thunderhoof pulls off the animal/robot hybrid. My one complaint is the shoulders are kinda hard to work with, but you can pull off dynamic poses. I really can't say one way or another if this is a must buy.

What happened to his arms
Considering how hard they tried to work a whole new transformation into him, something ended up giving. It really is interesting that the head is by the wheels on the legs and the arms are the back opposite the head. Very intricate. But the arms are a slight damper, but he still looks amazing. The colors and head are so cool. and the legs look really dope!

Am I really everyone's old pal? Am I yours?
Just in case anyone missed it in my other review, and by the numbers it looks like they have; in the shoulder of Optimus Prime from the Minicon Battle pack there's a slot, this allows the ax to be stored in vehicle mode. Very close to the Warrior Class version.

I just picked up BP OP this weekend (about to drop some pics in my neck of the woods) and I noticed that as well. As a bonus the axe can also store in "super axe" mode. And if you're feeling real froggy, you can shove the axe in his backpack.Just in case anyone missed it in my other review, and by the numbers it looks like they have; in the shoulder of Optimus Prime from the Minicon Battle pack there's a slot, this allows the ax to be stored in vehicle mode. Fracture sets the bar pretty high. That BH Bulk is a fun figure and I can feel that. When I saw the first pics of Quillfire, I thought he was made from a heavily retooled Strongarm base. I guess an SUV looks like an SUV looks like an SUV, no matter what color it's cast in.

Swirly brown or gold plastic?

Honestly, I'm just happy to have (collectively) a whole wave's worth of Decepticon.
Is that an unused quill/shiv in the lower left of Quillfire's packaging?

Thank you for pointing this out, Shuttershock. I saved it from the garbage that goes out tomorrow. Man that would have ticked me off if it had been thrown out with the trash.
I'm not quite sure what to do with the piece though. It plugs into the rest of the quills on the back of his head, but there's also another port where it could plug into his back. I haven't seen him in any episodes ... what does he do with his quills? Does he pull them out to attack his enemies? Would he be seen holding it like a knife?

Completely different. That's just swirly plastic. It's the sparkly swirly gold or brown plastic that has led to gold plastic syndrome in the past. It also takes time for gold plastic to breakdown to the point where there's a problem. I've never seen gold plastic happen to a toy right out of the package. It happens at least a few years down the road after the plastic seems to degrade or something.

He actually uses a large quill as a knife to make his "mark" showing that he was there and he did something.

He shoots them from his back at his enemies. They contain a toxin that affect the nervous systems of those struck, but differently for each target.Seibertron wrote:Shuttershock wrote:Is that an unused quill/shiv in the lower left of Quillfire's packaging?
