You read that title right, the latest Robots in Disguise Warrior figures have been found at retail. A toysrus in Glendale, Arizona, to be precise. It was even found during their Buy One Get One 40% off sale (which is happening right now, if you were unaware). This is wave 10 in the warriors class and it is currently unavailable for preorders online. What is most interesting is that the phots provided by TFW2005 user Rabble show the rest of the wave. So along with Stormshot, Blastwave and a white redeco of Drift, this wave also includes a rerelease of Strongarm and a rerelease of the previously exclusive Starscream. It is unclear if this Starscream is different from the Clash of the Transformers Toysrus figure. There can be other rereleased figures part of this wave but that is also unconfirmed. They all sport a new Combiner Force logo on the box, highlighting the 2017 subline.

I dont know how noteworthy this is, but if you take the UPC codes and look em up on Amazon, you find that Stormshot is labelled as Skyfire :-?
So would this be the RID take on Jetfire?

Could have been an early production name for the figure.

Of note is that "Skyfire" has been in the firm hands of Mattel since 2003's Energon line, and was meant to be used for the Omnicon Skyblast. Apparently Hasbro is still unable to obtain that trademark :-B

Keep a close eye on the Max Steel line, especially with the movie being released.

I'm sad that they didn't use the takara head reaculpt, but that drift could still make an okay affordable stand in for ode drift. Is the head easily replaceable by any chance?

I was just playing with my RID overload and I had a brainwave I wondered if Bakugan would fit in his claw and yep they do - they are a perfect fit - I recall people accusing Hasbro of copying them - I had no idea until just now that they literally made them the exact same size too.

Seibertronian Scottimus Prime has sent us news that the Robots in Disguise Combiner Force legion class figures have made their way to US retail! Scottimus found the legion class figures at a Toys R Us in Long Island, New York and has sent us images of his purchase of Springload. You can check out his images below, and you can head on out and check out your local stores to find your own Combiner Force figures! And remember to report all sightings in our Sightings section!

Along with the first US sightings of the Transformers: Robots in Disguise Combiner Force figures, two Seibertronians have sent along their reviews of two new figures from the line! First up, Scottimus Prime with frog-like Decepticon Springload.

And next, chuckdawg1999 with fellow Legion class wavemate Starscream.

Starscream is our first look at the Combiner Force sub-line of RID, a scaled down version of the previously released warrior class figure. Transformation is fun, and I'm impressed with how solid the jet mode is. Definitely worth a pick up.

Don't even get me started on that. I guess the previous minicons didn't sell well and stores aren't carrying the newer waves.

The official Transformers Facebook page has shared a new video, and we get our first full-on look at the upcoming warrior class Transformers: Robots in Disguise Soundwave figure! As the clip says, the toy takes several generations of Decepticon communications officer design tips, from Transformers: Prime to G1, via recent RID incarnations and War for Cybertron/Fall of Cybertron cues. Check it out below!

Yeah...what's up with the faceplate on the artwork? It's more logical that the show model would use the Prime Soundwave head that's on the toy.

Eh, screw it, the toy looks amazing. I'm sure Takara will show it up, but I don't care. For once, Hasbro dun gud. Now let's see that Blurr.

Gallifreyan Autobot wrote:It's weird how they completely exclude Cybertron and Animated Soundwave as if they seem to have never existed. And this irritates me.

They skipped the film version too. They skipped every incarnation. It's just the oldest Soundwave vs. the newest Soundwave.

Watch them go show-accurate by painting a faceplate on which ends up looking as good as when they used paint to 'remove' CW/UW Drag Strip's slit teardrop eyes.

I really don't think the box art is automatically indicative of how Soundwave will look in the cartoon. Remember how wildly unlike the cartoon model Steeljaw's box art was?

Fellow Seibertronian chuckdawg1999 was lucky enough to get ahold of the latest Robots in Disguise warriors, and was nice enough to share with us his review for new Autobot Stormshot! Stormshot is an all new mold which is heavily based on a combiner wars Aerialbot mold, minus only the combiner port and featuring a tighter backpack, and features a pretty good paint job of red, white, and blue. Stormshot is schedule for release along with wavemates Drift and Blastwave at the very beginning of 2017, so stay tuned for those guys to start showing up in stores!

chuckdawg1999 wrote:Stormshot is the first Warrior Class figure I was able to get from the Combiner Force sub-line of RID. Robot mode is very cool looking, with a nice red, white, and blue color scheme. Transformation is satisfying, although I'm concerned about stress marks on some ports. Overall, Stormshot just might be my favorite figure from RID thus far.

So I kinda have a fix for this issue; transform the arm that's giving you trouble alone, then close the hood on that half, then combine the hood parts and then transform the arm that doesn't give you trouble, and that should work out better, although it's not perfect.
