As much as I love the detail and the sheer size this guy will have over my classic figures, I can't justify spending almost $500 for a completed figure, not including shipping.

Which is a shame, cause these look awesome!

I'm expecting Exgraver any day now, and I plan to get the set. HOWEVER, I will be waiting to preorder this guy until I see a color prototype that proves beyond a shadow, that the greens will be uniform. If they are not, I will wait and check out the other Devy. >:oP

"Heavylabor"? Really? That was the best we could do? I realize the name doesn't matter, but come on...

I doubt they speak English as their first language, so the name probably sounds cool to them.

But yeah, some of the names ... even Fansprojects' names for the Nonsecticons kinda suck.

Edit: Not loving that wait piece. I really hope that's just in the prototype becaus eit looks like it was made to fully collapse.

am I the only one who thinks he looks a little bit, IDK, on the stout side? I mean, I guess I was expecting him to be a little less stalky, and alittle more upright. he just seems too stalky for how big he's supposed to be is all...
also, doesn't it look like his chest would fall apart if you shook him too much?

I really like it... but it looks like they got their heads all switched. This one SURE looks like our buddy Scrapper... less like the round dome mug of Long Haul. :-?

I like the bot mode better than Exgraver (although, yes, Exgraver did appear to strongly resemble the original Scavenger bot form). Nice guns too. It will be interesting to see in color.

In its combiner form by itself it reminds me of a turkey (in the form you buy from the grocery store, not the complete live bird).

Regarding the fall-apart look mentioned... could be a floppy figure, or could be held together well but awesomely poseable. I can hope. Only way we'll find out for real is as the reviews start pouring in.

Sad thing is... you can't actually attach these first two figures together!!!! You have an arm and some abs.

When they arrive, you can't even make a stubby stump of a no-arm, no-leg giant wad of RAWRRR-I'M-HERCULES-AND-I"M-EATIN'-UP-ALL-YOR-SHELF-SPACE-NOM-NOM-NOM floor-candy .

And I was looking forward to that.

the completed figure looks good, don't know yet, the maketoy completed one still looks better to me.

Although he has a crapload of kibble on his back the detail looks superb and the articulation seems alright judging from the pictures.

If the colour matches that of exgraver i'll get it. One thing that worries me i want to see a full Devy review so we all can be 100% sure that it fits together nicely and can still be posed. If TFC wants to have their figs review send them my way hehe.

Well, now that I have seen images with the completed legs, I am sold on this one instead of the MakeToy one. I already had Exgraver on the way, but now I'm sure this is the way that I want to go.

However, I'd still prefer to get a FP upgrade for my Classics Devastator. His two buddies got one and now he feels all naked.

I still wish their transformations were more accurate to G1, but these still look amazing.

Heavylabor. Because I think I'd rather give birth than fork over that much potential retail Transformers money on a third party gestalt that's getting released piece by piece. I just can't justify doing the early bird thing on this toy. What if one of the pieces has terrible QC? What if it has terrible shipment? What if it's cancelled and I'm left with 4 limbs and no head?

Re: Robotkingdom.com: Preorders for TFClub Hercules Heavylabor (1270409)
Posted by gothsaurus on August 2nd, 2011 @ 3:01pm CDT
Yeah, it would suck to start blowing hundreds of dollars... only to read a review that they don't hold together well, QC is crap, etc.

Really want to order these guys, but hesitant....

Exgraver is an awesome, and very solid figure. It gave me a lot of confidence to order the next one. My only concern is the colour of Heavylabour's buttplate, ie Devvies crotchplate. 8-}
Re: Robotkingdom.com: Preorders for TFClub Hercules Heavylabor (1270413)

What's the deal with the color of the crotch-butt?

Exgraver's transformation is spot on if not a little more detailed transformation wise. his arms tuck in beside him and his legs fold up underneath him just like the g1 version.

Even at the better price, I don't think these are going to sell at the rate they were expecting...obviously it is just a feeling based on comments and such, but I would also guess you'll see plenty of stock on these guys and a reduced price for not only the individuals but maybe even the complete package. those of us who can wait and afford...shall take our chances. If I could get the whole thing for 400 bucks shipped...It would be a no brainer...but since I feel like they got greedy at the 100 dollar price point...and are now reducing it slightly...no deal until that comes true.

I can't believe I am having this conversation at all, let alone on two forums, lol. So far, the only colour images of Heavylabour we have seen are the 3d computer renderings. They would give Hercules grey hips, purple thighs and a black crotchplate. Personally I am rather used to Devastator having a green crotchplate, except in IDW where it was purple. Either way, not black. I can always paint it, but due to the transformation it will get scratched and bumped a lot, meaning I will forever be doing touchups in that case, what a pain.

I really hope when we do get a colour production image, that that crotchplate is green.

I think it is deliberate, that way we have two parts that do not connect. Well I suppose you could hook Scavenger up to Long Haul's leg connector, would look freakin weird though lol.

Today has been pure win for me! Exgraver turned up today as well. Having had a play with it, I had absolutely no hesitance in pre-ordering this. Yes, it's expensive. But I'm willing and (for the time being at least) able.

Well, personally I don't mind Heavy Labor coming out next because until the entire set comes out, I'll be displaying them all in robot mode and then combining them into Devastator when/if all six are released.

For me, that's actually a point in their favor that I'm displaying them like that.

Let me just say, I was wrong. I got my Exgraver a few hours ago and this guy is just awesome. Strong joints, quality plastic and massive! I preordered Heavylabor just a few hours after saying I was going to wait. If you're on the fence about this set and have the money, this collector says pull the trigger. :APPLAUSE:

Oh man! If GetRightRobot is down than I am not regretting my decision! (I don't remember why, but I highly regard your opinion on such matters, GetRightRobot...) Gotta wait til the next paycheck to get Longhaul Heavylabor. This is going to be great! When I was young all I had was Scavenger and MixMaster! And that was at least 15 years after they came out, and now I'm going to have what is probably the most massive and detailed Devastator to date!

I appreciate all of the honest reviews. Looks like I may have to cave in and get these guys as well.... maybe when the next paycheck comes in?

They may be awesome... but they're still painfully pricey. #-o

Thanks man, here is a little piece of mine in regards to the cost:

1) Sideburn is a standard deluxe size figure
2) Thundershred is almost as tall and just bulky, easily qualifying as a deluxe. $50.00
3) Exgraver is certainly large enough to be a voyager. Hasbro rules say it should cost twice as much as a deluxe, and it does on 3rd party price scale.

Man you guys are jerks. I had completely written this guy off and was looking at the iGear Ratchet and Ironhide to be the outrageous figures I was going to get, how can I allow my brain to think pass when you drop that kind of logic? I was going to live vicariously through the forums and youtube but now I have to get both. :BANG_HEAD:

On a side note: I've used TFSource repeatedly and have nothing but positive things to say about them......but RobotKingdom has these guys for cheaper and even with the shipping from overseas....still cheaper.

When I think about it, now I am back in New Zealand Exgraver does not seem so expensive. Deluxes can go for 40 dollars here, voyagers 65, and I spent 90 on Exgraver. Not bad for a third party piece, when you compare it to how Hasbro drills us here!

Yeah, my girlfriend is very good at hunting down transformers for me over there, it works out a LOT cheaper, she just opens them and sends them without the bulky packaging. Whenever I go to the states I come back with suitcases full of transformers lol. But I can understand when people are used to 12 dollar deluxes how daunting 78usd 3rd party figures like TFC's contructicons are.
If and when she moves out here to NZ with me we may have a problem, we both collect transformers and won't have anyone to hunt for us in the states!
