Nah, me neither. I eagerly await more news on Perfect Effect's long-ago hinted at Soundwave.

Now, these things could be put to bed the next time we see some better shots but so far I think what we see is what we don't get.
So far, it's a pass for me.

Yeah, the cropped pics of his head make me wonder how good it is. Not really impressed with the little they're showing of it.

Not sure, initially I thought it was a G1 cassette, but upon closer inspection I'm not so sure. It's definitely a cassette of some sort though.
Looks like Rumble/Frenzy to me. It's Laserbeak in the second set.

Digital voice recorders.

He still looks he could work out alright, but I want to see complete profiles of him fully painted.
Right now, I'm still jonesing for Perfect Effect's Soundwave and eventual Laserbeak/Buzzsaw decos.

Digital voice recorders.
Law enforcement and legal matters such as depositions haven't used cassette based recorders in a very long time. Analog recordings are too easily altered and rerecorded to be considered hard evidence anymore. And I know that digital is actually easier to edit, it still shows signs that it has been edited.

I give props to anyone who puts the effort into making designs that Has/Tak will not, bt from the design stages this should off been dropped or rethought, as the robot mode is sacraficed, for an alt mode which I for one have no desire to display, neither do I want to display an akward looking Soundwave.

You do realize that this is a Transformers product, correct? You do realize that as people above the age of about 14 who are buying Transformer products, we are geeks? You understand that this, being catered to Transformer collectors, means that is IS being catered to geeks?
You are a geek. I am a geek. We're all geeks on this forum. No need to be in sad denial about it, just be proud of being a geek.

There are two types of geeks well 4 actualy, But the main difference is where boundaries lie. I'm the total opposite of a geek, but I design and make music, so do alot of other people, but I'm heavily into my mac, and am always helping out people I know who do the same thing but aren't as into the thing behind it all, I cross the liine and am passionate about the technology. I like the geeky part too but out of necessity but as it's apple it's fun. When it comes to Transformers, it's the transformers I like, I would never wear a Transformers watch or have it as my ring tone, a certain type of geek would. When I buy music equipment, it has to be the best for my money for playing music. I wear designer clothes, for the style I would not buy something becuase it had transformers on it, I buy clothes that look good, transformers shouldn't step into a part of your life which it has no place in beeing. Certain geeks watch anything with robots in, or that is scy fy, I only like transformers, I do so for the looks, so I do have some gundam etc, but if it doesn't meet a certain standard it ends there.
Transformers is a big part of my life, but it doesn't interfere with other parts, there for I have quality transformers, quality clothes and quality music equpment. Mixing the 2 means, an inferior mp3 player and an inferior figure. So the explanation is tricky as geeks are stereotyped as being clever, but being clever is form follows function, and being clever is getting something that is the best it can be, If you saw someone wearing a star trek t-shirt, you may think geek, I personaly would think, that is a poor quality t-shirt and has spent the extra money as it has something which has nothing to do with clothes printed on it, so thats not smart, it's jus an example as they might not care about clothes and the design might be kool. SO a soundwave figure that plays mp3s is a poor figure as it has to compensate a cheap component that can't play music wel, so thats not smart.
It's all abou stereo types, and the true meaning of the word, how many boxes do you have to tick for you to be considered to belong to one type of people, but the what happens if you tick boxes not only in other group types but in groups that are considered the total oppositte, I know I do. And in todays world things are changing, especialy as technology is becoming more useful and more important to everyone, so isn't everyone a geek now. Geeks were considered the brains, but it's so obvious thats not the case anymore, and people who try hard not to be geeks don't realise that actually makes them a geek. It's passion wih no reason. People who smoke weed and buy t-shirts with ganja leave son are geeks, Gangsters who read all the gangster books and say something profound before they kill someone are geeks. I love computers but I use it for something, I'm a geek in that respect, but then there's people who work in computer shops or I.T and they have loads of computers and know alt about them, but really have no use for a powrful machine becuase they don't actually use them for what they are ment for.

So...GEEK? Yeah. Geek.

So, you're embarrassed to be a TF fan, yet here you are?

So...what point are you trying to make here? Pharell Williams is hard core Voltron fan. You gonna step up to him and tell him his geekiness is wrong? The man's into fashion, he's a professional and he admits to being a Voltron fan. It was even going to be a part of his career. He was going to score the film that never made it to the big screen. That's good money, that's a pro being a pro, while being a geek. So...what point are you trying to make?

A very judgmental pot calling the kettle black.

Passion with no reason? This was a post with no reason. It was just a bunch of words slamming around in your head and you just had to get them out. Unfortunately, we're all worse off for it. Not only that, but it was offensive. If you're embarrassed about being a geek, there's the door. The rest of us will wear the label with a smile and enjoy our lives. If you ever decide to give that a try, we'll be here, but until you come to terms with being a geek, you're wasting our time here. That includes your time as well.

I hate buying clothes. There is no way I could wear designer clothes because it would take away from my Transformer money. Besides it's not my style.

That's a fair point and your choice, my point was a t-shirt with a transformer logo on, some look ok, but alot don't, it serves no worthy purpose, the money could go on a decnt t-shirt or a transformer. Soomebody mentioned they hoped they didn't make this play mp3's and that they put there efforts into making a solid figure. And thats my point, make one or the other, as a compramise is a waste of time.

Never said I had a problem with beeing a geek. That was someone else. It was a response to someone questioning someonelse's response. Calling somone a geek was originally ment in a negative way, although the definition may be of something quite posative, it's the manor in which something posative is performed, as in someone studying is posative, but trading off having a social life and beeingboring is negative. The term geek was originally aimed at brainy people, but beeing a train spotter doesn't make you clever but is considered geeky, and generaly not kool,
Yeah I went off on one, but it was becuase the point that someone made was on the soundwave figure, is a problem that is repeatedly happening. Anyways I know what I ment, sorry I ddn't explain it better, it's one thing to not get my point but another to to make things up that I never said.

I agree, my points were all based on the thread, I did over elaborate, and trying to keep it brief, probaly didn't explain myself well. Buy people always seem to jump on what I 'm saying rather than what I'm saying about the actual subject. I'm not bothered if people disagree with what I'm sying, but keep it on subject, as I'm tired of diverting into pointless arguments. I really am not trying to offend anyone one, and I am happy to explain by pm if you do have a problem with anything I say. AT the end of the day we're all here becuase we like transformers. I am passionate about the direction they are going in.
I love thrird party releases, and I think they benefit Has/Tak in some areas. This release has problems, for a thrird party release to be successful it has to be really good, and this needs revising. it could be so much more, adult collectors have high standards, and I wish we all could refrain sometimes, and hold off, to show that we woant better, it would help prevent endless repaints, and rushed designs.
I know I'm not the only one with limityed display space left, and I'm more fussy nowdays, soon the hardcore collectors will have no more space, so companies need to realise that there target audience has been around for a while now, and that we take care off our transformers, just look at ebay, years ago, most figures would be snapped up, now exclusives are reappearing quicker, and sell for less, it shows that we want, but can't keep for long, and that getting rid of to other collectors is a problem as they too have limited funds and space to display.

the only concern i have is the waist and legs they look a little frail unless they use diecast in there it looks like it could break rather easily. i guess itll depend on how hes transformed.
