DON'T SCREW THIS UP WITH YOUR POWERIZER NONSENSE HASBRO!
Also, I hope he doesn't change from a Rock Monster to a Pile of Rocks.

'Cause that would be 100,000¥. What's getting released is a Voyager sized figure.

I'll bet you a lot, considering he is listed with the price of a Voyager class figure, and not a Supreme class.

Yeah, 5000 yen would be a crazy high price for a voyager figure. And "darkness Megatron" is listed at the same price.
Definitely did not see Unicron getting a toy.

You're forgetting that toys in Japan are more expensive than toys in America. That price is the price of voyagers in Japan. Compare it to the price of Voyager Megatron Darkness, which is also 5000 yen. Why, the Deluxes are being sold for 2000 yen, which is roughly $25 USD. Japan is an expensive country.darryl zero wrote:5000 yen? ~$60 US? That seems in line with the Supreme class Amazon Unicron cost (MSRP, not the secondary market 3x price gouge).
This Unicron is a Voyager figure.

Of course, but considering that I'm actively thinking about using that figure to replace my Henkei Ironhide, using my imagination just isn't enough to make the final decision. I want pics dammit!

5000 yen would be a very abnormal price for a voyager in Japan.

Problem is... autobot swerve is listed at 4000 yen, which has been confirmed to be a repaint of breakdown who is a voyager. Does Takara usually charge a 1000 yen premium on certain figures?
Think PRID will spell the reintroduction of ultra class?

Battle Unicorn, who turns into a fearsome rock mace/general-pointy-bludgeoning-device

I HOPE that we get him in a Leader Class so that there will be some semblance to the scale of the RiD Voyager Class. I hope that Unicron will scale to the Unicrons that Prime was fighting in that crevasse. But that is up in the air and I'll wait and see what the FINAL product will look like!! Fingers crossed!!

Sounds like the TF version of Nintendo's "Mario Tax"

Isn't AM-14 the car Vehicon from the RiD line?

I just checked BBTS and they have AM-14 identified as Vehicon so I guess that is the case.

I'm having trouble figuring out why I would bet on that. I mean, it's not like TFP has Supreme class figures, and it's not like TFP Unicron looks anything like Armada Unicron.

I'll probably be getting it though.

Hasbro already spelled out what the size classes for this line are going to be at Toy Fair. There's no Ultra class for this line. The closest we'll get to that price-wise are the Weaponizers, but they're scaled to be Leader-sized.reluttr wrote:Think PRID will spell the reintroduction of ultra class?
Probably something spiky, at least. Maybe it'll turn into one of his arm spikes or something. Or turn into whatever weapon his Hasbro toy will have that the Takara one won't have.LiKwid wrote:Ok..this got my attention..I wonder what his micron will be?
Sorry, it's a Voyager figure.BIGGUY007 wrote:A Transformers Prime UNICRON?!?!?!?!

Maybe it'll look like how Megatron looked in "One Shall Fall".Sodan-1 wrote:'Megatron Darkness', eh? What are the odds this voyager is going to be made from translucent purple? Perhaps not to the extent of zombie Cliffjumper, but given the name I'd be surprised if we got the beautiful metal looking voyager Megatron I think a lot of us want.
THANK YOU!worldsgreatest wrote:Voyagers are $60 US, it is a Voyager Unicron. Why are people fighting about this?

RobotKingdom mistransliterated "Biikon" as "Beacon" instead of "Vehicon" for AM-14. AM-14 is Vehicon (the car one) and AM-16 is Jet Vehicon.Sodan-1 wrote:I'm not saying it definitely is, but I noticed that figure is otherwise absent from RobotKingdom's listings.

Exactly! This thinking that it's the Armada Unicron mold is nonsense.cannonfodder4000 wrote:darryl zero wrote:What do you want to bet Unicron is just a minor retool of the Armada version?

Or, he'll probably have some made up altmode a la ROTF The Fallen.rpetras wrote:It's going to be a big Rock Lord, because TFP Unicron WAS a big Rock Lord.

ビーコン (bi-i-ko-n) can be romanised as either "beacon" (with long "e" sound) or "Vehicon" (with two separate "e" sounds). In this case however, "Vehicon" is the correct term.
Concerning the size vs. price, don't forget that more often than not, TakaraTomy has a very flexible pricing structure and more limited releases are usually more expensive. Regular Voyagers are indeed in the 3,500-4,000 Yen price range, but the DotM Leaders were roughly 7,400 yen, double the amount.

ironhide's will be one of his cannons and unicrons might be the little antibodies

(Sha' right! And monkeys might fly out Prime's ass...)
But I do bet that we will see TT reuse previously released AMs as partners for newer AMs, just in a different color with different stickers (or the same, you choose).
Unicron is a surprise. HASBRO can wow us at Botcon with a look at their versions of all of these. They'll probably save it for SDCC, or TFcon, or some such place instead of the official (North American) Transformers Convention.

haha seems like hasbro wants to determine if they can get us to buy multiples of the same mold without even having to repaint them and think of another name and bio.
this price point is the same as the japanese cyberverse driller sized play set too. could make an interesting "inside unicron" cyberverse playset.
either way a supreme prime version of unicron would be the better thing but, oh well

Unicron is not a planet in this series.mbd88prime wrote:gaea unicron could be reworded to say earth unicron which in my mind means he'll be the rocky looking unicron manifestation, no surprise there, but i would bet he doesnt transform much like that energon light up optimus mold we saw previewed earlier this year. could be wrong but a voyager sized tf that transforms into a planet would be kinda silly. plus it would be in line with the car and jet vehicon as well as the recent possibilty of an insecticon mold in that it would be one of those molds that we might want to buy more than one of because thats how it was on the show.
