While Rise of the Beasts is not written on this toy's packaging, this Smash Changer Optimus Prime was initially listed as a Movie 7 toy and the listing later got turned into a toy for the Cyberverse line. Regardless, this toy still depicts Optimus Prime in the robot mode from Rise of the Beasts and it is now available in stores in the US and on Amazon in the $30 price range. There have been sightings in Meijer and Walmart stores, all within the past week.

Original listing for retailer:
TRA MV7 Smash Changers Optimus Prime
Current listing for retailers:
TRA Cyberverse Smash Changers Optimus Prime
It should also be known that not all ROTB toys are going to become Cyberverse toys. There are upcoming ROTB One Steps that will be coming out in the Buzzworthy Bumblebee line in about a month, so maybe then we will get even more early designs.

I need to watch a review but the gimmick seems fun

Speaking of Bumblebee, the same source states that the one steps made for the Rise of the Beasts toyline have been repackaged to be in the Buzzworthy Bumblebee toyline. This is a bit more unexpected since these toys are the type that we find everywhere during a movie line, ever since Age of Extinction. It could be that the ones released now will be in that Target exclusive line while they will be rereleased in the actual Rise of the Beasts toyline next year. We'll see if these pop up before the end of the year, and there is some excitement for them since that would be a way for us to see the movie designs early.
Lastly, there is a new listing for ROTB Flex Changers. Hasbro does have a Bend and Flex subline it uses for other properties so it could simply be that they will be incorporating Transformers characters into it. Some of the toys in this line already have transforming elements, like vehicles turning into armour.
The specific listings for these are:
Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts Flex Changers Cheetor (Hasbro Code: F4639)
Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts Flex Changers Nightbird (Hasbro Code: F4638)

Like I said, we need help with the news. So if you find a story you'd like posted or shared with the community, write an article here (in your own words) and send us the link so we can refine it and post it.

We also have a very tiny image of a mock up for the display in the toy aisle for the ROTB toyline, with a big Optimus cutout. Hasbro is going hard on merchandise and toys for both the ROTB film and Earthspark, as can be seen on one of the slides below. Both toylines are aimed at children, while there will be some ROTB characters in the Studio Series line that older fans can also enjoy alongside kids.
Speaking of Earthspark, it was confirmed that the show will have a second season coming as well, and the same slide showing us the ROTB cutout also has out first look at Spin Changer Optimus' alt mode. And in other Transformers media news, they confirmed that there is still an animated Transformers movie coming out in 2024. We have selected the images and slides that may be of importance below. Some of the images come from TFW2005.com.

RoTB will be a streaming viewing in a couple of years, I just don't have any enthusiasm for it at all. So far only Scourge intrigues me. Maybe future reveals will change that.
Pretty much same with Earthspark. If I like it once it's out, I might get into it. So far, no vibes at all, good or bad.

You know everyone likes to blame him for everything despite their being many, many hands in the pot. The only major script decisions people can blame on him is Revenge of the Fallen since he finished the script due to the writers strike of 08

He's always been the face of those movies and he has chosen it to be that way. So I get why people keep blaming him for everything.

Now does this mean it can also be seen as him shielding everyone (even if inadvertently) from the abuse?

Nah, just as yet another example of people needing one single scapegoat to focus on because paying attention to the multiple(!), more obvious causes is so not done

It's not intentional, but we know he doesn't mind getting the blame for it. He's beyond it all as is demonstrated with him still involved with the brand and films while not shying away from letting us know.

There are a few newsworthy bits to take from this single picture. Firstly, the head sculpt features parts not seen on Bumblebee's head in the trailer, which include his antennas and side vents. So that means that either he had not finished transforming in the trailer, or that this face sculpt is based on an older character model.
Also, these being official renders means that their announcement is soon. Or at least, one would hope since we had renders of a new Hatchet and Hound figure for months and they are still not revealed. So we'll see.
Let us know what you think of this new toy and if you'd add it to your collection!

BB, looks like they took Bumblebee Movie BB and mashed it up with 2007 Bay Movie BB and got this.
It looks fairly simple though.

Oooo, that car mode looks great, I do wish the car mode had more black paint on it to break up all that yellow like the screen model. Maybe they might change the layout before release...unless we're gonna have to wait for a "Premium Finish" version!

Article from Screenrant officially revealing SS-99 Battletrap and SS-100 Bumblebee from ROTB!

It's not children getting dumber, more like parents getting sue-happy whenever a child gets hurt by a toy.

Simply different norms.
Back in the day, you could swallow the Fisher Price Little People.
Tonka trucks were made of diecast metal.
And earlier than that, children were given ACTUAL FIREARMS AND NUCLEAR KITS.
It was also the time were kids were allowed to play "dangerous games" like tag and Jungle Gym. Kids are not "dumber". We make them so.

Those were the good ol days. Anyone remember Woodburning kits? The superheated sharp object with a cord like 18 inches long? I LOVED our lawn darts, too. And chemistry sets! I tried so hard to make something that would blow up the house.....

Children in the US are still given actual firearms. Kinda sad a kid can have a real rifle, but not a G1 Megatron.-Kanrabat- wrote:And earlier than that, children were given ACTUAL FIREARMS AND NUCLEAR KITS.

Little People were meant for 2yo+. I was around 3 when I had that farm:
A kid can easily put one of those figure in it's mouth. I remember that I did. But swallowing it would take some serious skills.
Still, the modern toys are gigantic so they are not taking any chances.
Back to transformers, The G1 were meant and are still good for kids that are 5yo+, like the current Generations line. However, children that are YOUNGER than that do exist. Also, G1 Transformers cost way less to make at the time than they cost today. Generations toys too are now VERY expensive.
So those cheap and "stupid" simple toys are meant for the very, VERY young and are purposely CHEAP. Parents usually don't want to give super expensive toys to their kids when they know the thing will be broken/ignored in minutes.
That's all.

The number on the front of the box is just who Hasbro is selling to, it has nothing to do with safety. Look on the back (even on Generations figures) and you'll see the safety warnings and the UK 3 and under restriction.

I have some of these titan changers and 6 + makes sense. They are more complex than many G1 figures (definitely more conpkex than G1 Optimus)
However, I don't know why the 1 steps aren't 4+, any 4 year old can transform them, even 3 year old could.

Must be corporate shenanigans because for many of these toys, I have the impression that they decide the "age" by throwing a dice.
