Thanks to an article on worstpreviews.com, it is now known that the first Transformers film took up 15 terabytes of disk space on the Industrial Light and Magic servers, not a small amount by any stretch of the imagination. To put the amount of disk space used by the first film, a single terabyte is the equivalent of 1,048,576 megabytes.
However Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen not only eclipses the 15 terabyte mark set by the original, it completely dwarfs it, requiring a total of 140 terabytes of ILM disk space.

But I digress.
That is a lot for a movie

60 robots?!?
Now I know most of these 'bots are gonna be little more than cannon fodder during battle scenes, but still, that's somethin' to forward to!

Eh, it's nothing new, that fact came up quite a while ago.

I don't recall hearing the number 60 before. I remember hearing '20 or more per side,' but never a solid number like 60.
Could you be so kind as to point out when and where this fact was given previously? 'Cause somehow I seem to have missed it.

No problem. Here's the Seibertron page about it when it was a rumour...

Here's some others; I picked up the fact in a yahoo site where some of the bots were given brief descriptions - cant seem to find it anymore though.

Much appreciated, thanks.
I thought I needed psychological help when it comes to TF stuff, but you're really on top of it, aren't you?
Thanks for setting the record straight.

They could put it all together and render a city if they wanted.
But I'm sure a lot of it is still Devastator, Prime, Jetfire, and everyone else.

I second that! More robots! Less humans! More Megatron! Less Witwicky! (But I'll allow a masturbation joke or two)
I'm just waiting for the rumors that that much disk space will destroy the fabric of space-time like they were saying about the Hadron Collider.
HK, secret conspiracy theory!

Wasn't that in Angels & Demons? (Haven't seen it yet, will do this weekend.)
But yeah, after readin the novelization, it is clear there will be a lot less human interaction, aside from Sam. Even Mikaela won't be in it as much.

And what a cryin' shame that would be. On the 'plus' side, we'll get to see a lot more OF her in the other sense. Booty shorts, anyone?
Every frame with a human is a wasted frame to me.
(Go Decepticons!)
HK, wow, I really sound antisocial.

Angels & Demons was about anti-matter, which is produced by a particle collider. People actually thought, though, that the Large Hadron Collider would destroy the planet with a black hole.
They're supposed to set off a Very Large hadron Collider in 2012. That's called "tempting fate."
And 140 terabytes of robots? Yes please.

Well, I've never been one to look a gift horse in the mouth, but personally, she's a bit too skinny for me...I can honestly say I never once thought about seeing Transformers because of her. I won't deny, being a redblooded male I did crack a smile when Bay gratuitously shot every curve of her, but still, it was an added bonus. If she was to be stepped on accidentally, I would have looked forward to the sequel just the same.

Yeah, really. Even though i kind of agree. I have been a Transfan for 25 years, and I wouldn't mind a movie that takes place entirely on Cybertron, no humans allowed. (OOOH, PREQUEL!!! PREQUEL!!!)

I don't think they'll show the digital version of ROTF anywhere in the Netherlands.
