An ebay auction gives us Revenge of the Fallen Thrust's biography and stats from his back packaging. We first saw Thrust on another ebay auction back here in June. Thrust is a dark red remold of Revenge of the Fallen Deluxe Breakaway, whose gallery you can see here on Seibertron.com. The Decepticon fighter plane is presumably a Wave 5 Deluxe release, along the likes of Arcee, Swerve and 'Autobot' Gears
For those who don't wish to strain their eyes;
Thrust loves to fight, as long as he is guaranteed to win. As soon as the odds turn against the Decepticons, he's the first to run and hide. He relishes the chance to push around those smaller and weaker than him, so Earth is the ultimate playground. He avoids the Autobots completely, choosing instead to pick fights with small, lightly armed groups of humans. Even then, as soon as the humans roll out any artillery, or even rocket launchers, he heads for space, to lay low until he can stop shaking from fear

Paramount owns all of the toys, thus the likelihood of this mold being repainted outside of the Movie toyline is very low. And we've already got Ramjet, and Thundercracker. And this is Thrust, so I'm assuming that you miss typo'd that as Dirge. XD

I'll gladly take your Breakaway mold off of your hands
Nah seriously, wait a week or two to see the gallery of this figure, and then we'll see if the new head mold is really worth buying a repaint

A Dirge is on his way people. Three guesses who he'll be a repaint of

Sorry if it seems like I think of more 'current' Transformers series - I got into Transformers late. Really late. Like, Transformers movie late. I did grow up watching Armada, and I had RID Optimus, Grimlock, and Prowl, but that was pretty much the extent of my Transformers knowledge: Optimus was good, Megatron was bad, and the Mini-Cons were in between. I also had six episodes of G1, and it didn't help my Transformers knowledge much, especially on the episode 'City of Steel', when Megatron said, "if you interfere one minicon", which I took as a reference to the Armada Mini-Cons. Another thing about that episode was Devastator. It was the only episode I had with the Constructicons, and I naturally assumed, 'hey, Devastator's made of construction vehicles, Grimlock is a construction vehicle, and Grimlock combines into a big bot'. That was the most confusing Transformers year of my life.
In 2003, I watched like two episodes of Energon, my dad rented me 'The Return of Optimus Prime: Parts one and two' from a rental store, I got Energon Inferno for my birthday, and the yellow Build Team for Christmas.
Then, we had a big garage sale and I got rid of almost all of my Transformers, including RID Optimus and Prowl, the Armada Kids Meals (except Hot Shot and Optimus), and like almost every Mini-Con I had. To this day, I only have Over-Run, High Wire (missing his arms), Sureshock, Grindor (broken), Knock Out (missing arms and missile), Wreckage (missing missiles), Sonar (missing sword handle), Runway (missing arm), and Jetstorm (missing legs and one arm).
In 2005 I gave away my Universe Spychanger Optimus (yellow version) and Prowl, and my yellow Build Team, as well as the original Build Team Grimlock. However, there was one good thing about that year. I got Universe Reptilion.
However, the 2007 movie came along two years ago, and I was thrown back into the world of Transformers, where I found a very small box of toys. Aside from the Mini-Cons, I had RID Spychanger Optimus (red) and Armada Super-Con (bendy) Optimus. However, my Reptilion was broken (had broken and been thrown away in '06).
Last year, Animated started, and so did my collecting blitz. I got almost every Animated toy, along with some Movie, Universe, and Allspark Power toys.
This year, I now have three large boxes, two small shelves, and a small dresser full of Transformers toys, and I intend to continue my collection for a long time.
Sorry. Wanted to get that off of my chest. Do you like my story? Anyway, Thrust = Armada.

while the one you described is more less Takara Powerlinx Thrust, a red G1esque version, as seen in the galleries here
Don't worry about being a 'late' Transformers fan. I'm much of the same. I grew up with Beast Wars, didn't really bother with RID. Armada is where I really got into the fandom, and I'm still trying my hardest to finish the Armada toyline to this day! Energon and Cybertron was avoided through a second hiatus, and now a couple years later, here we are!

OH! So that's why Powerlinx thrust's card shows him in those colors! That drove me crazy before, thank you.
I didn't know G1 Thrust had that scheme, that makes me kinda like this figure a little more, especially since I'm not getting Breakaway.
