I do like some of what they added. But it is in the subtle detail. With the larger details, I really feel they rather missed the mark. For what I'd use from this set, I in no way feel I'd get my money's worth for $21.00. Disappointing, as I was looking forward to seeing what they did with Jetfire.
Also, just as a point of curiosity...
Holy hell, where did his forearm gaps go? Not that I want them to be there, but they are rather conspicuous with the sudden absence. Are they (oddly) using an obviously modded figure to show off stickers for a stock Hasbro toy? Or are the gaps covered by a sticker that wraps around the forearm, and they just forgot to mark that as one of the stickers? (If it is a sticker, while I applaud their effort, I can't see that as a sticker that will have a long durability unless one then treats their Jetfire with extreme care!)

Oh well, postage is cheap
As for Jetfire's forearms, it looks to me like the sticker wraps all the way around at least 2-3 sides of his forearm, so they do point it out, but it's not obvious... I agree cool, but fragile as it doesn't seem to take I to account the two positioning guides for the forearm gun (straight for bot mode and slightly angled for alt ode)
Edit: Windblade also ordered. Awesome set
Crosscut: undecided. Not a fan of the "steel plate" designs, and I wanted to make him different to skids, so I used the optional G1 stickers from the skids set on him, so this set doesn't really bring anything new for me.

@ shajaki. Technically, since it's unsanctioned unlike Ocean, it is 3p but its not by anychance muscling in on the actual "toy" figures so that should befine. But with Ocean having the license.......

(Yes, I am underwhelmed by overkill. Go figure.) And the awkwardly executed white nosecone. (When Jetfire's nosecone is supposed to be red, anyway!) That isn't to say that I always feel I have to use every sticker in a Reprolabels set... but I like the ratio of used to unused to be a bit more in my favor for the purchase to be cost effective.

Hopefully the label for the panel would be a soft vinyl type. Wished they included the RB type military deco details like those seen in aircraft model kits.

I'm getting the Legends version so these will probably look awful...does anyone know if Reprolabels has done sheets for Japanese-retail figures before?

RotorstormNZ wrote:I'm getting the Legends version so these will probably look awful...does anyone know if Reprolabels has done sheets for Japanese-retail figures before?
Why would they look awful? Is there that much of a difference between the decos other than the obvious differences in the armor parts? I mean, it isn't as if the Takara version is going to be a purple with yellow polka dots jet with hot pink armor parts!
Reprolabels has on very rare occasion done different sets. I recall Drift, for example, has two options to order, one for the Hasbro version and one for the Takara version. I seem to vaguely recall something similar for a Micromaster team, as well. So it is possible. I just don't see Jetfire being in need of such a thing.

I swear, stickers with this kind of detail have actually stopped me from buying some Reprolabels sets that I might have otherwise wanted!
I'm guessing it is kind of an IDWish detail or something. (I dunno, I haven't read the comics... not even the ones that have been included with figures I've bought!) All I know is that it looks really out of place to me in my G1 based Classics style collection.
I know I could just leave those stickers off... but I don't want to be buying sticker sheets just to be throwing out half the stickers I'd paid for, and having bare spaces left on my figures that could have used a little something extra!
Occasionally they advertise a set as containing alternate stickers without that detail, but that seems to be a minority. But even then, I feel like I'd be buying sets with an inflated cost because of all of the superfluous stickers!
Are these weirdly detailed stickers ever going to go away?

If they did do this for Brainstorm, or many of the others besids Skids, I wish they'd advertise that fact. But still, to quote myself...

Even with that detailing, though, I have to admit that the Reprolabels do do wonders for Optimus. Especially his vehicle mode, covering up the unpainted grey areas so that he has a more consistent look! Although I do kind of like the original blue windows better... But, unless they have some optional stickers that they aren't showing in their sample images, if I want to fill in the unpainted windows, I'd have to go with black.
His robot mode is a bit less impressive... What the heck did they do to his forearms? Black? (And, of course, the yellow accents feature that stupid glowing grid detail I hate.) I think I'd leave off those, his knees, and either shown option for his shoulders...
Still, overall it seems a set that would just be worth it.
I hope the remaining Arialbots keep up the aesthetic used so far! Look forward to seeing them in the months ahead. (I wonder what they will do for Alpha Bravo, though, since he has no G1 equivalent to emulate.)

Hm, hadn't noticed the Generations Roadbuster stickers before. They actually make the figure almost look not crappy. I'm kinda tempted to keep my Roadbuster fugure that I only bought cos it was cheap and get those stickers. Probably won't though. I do need some new Autobot and Decepticon faction stickers though.

Typical these are released literally hours after I got bored and applied the Hasbro HK sticker sheet.
Next pay I'm getting a bunch of these...

As for the latest batch of stickers... Damn, I was looking forward to see what they did with Powerglide, and I can't help but feel disappointed. It's only $3.50, so I might still tack it onto my next order, but it just feels like half of the included stickers are extra details I won't need. Meanwhile, I was really hoping they'd include a couple of red stickers for the back of the legs to help them blend into the alt mode better.
I dunno... Overall I still think they do great work, but lately that work has felt a bit less great. In the past, every set felt like a homerun. Now, some feel bogged down with unnecessary extra stickers, and occasionally there are outright misses.
To end on a positive note: the stickers for the various Aerialbots look good! If I was getting the Hasbro version, those stickers would be a must. (I wonder what the chances of them also doing stickers for the Takara version are?)

I think the old website is no more. When I tried to go to it, I got the front "Click To Enter" page, but so clicking just redirected me right to the new one.
Ayyway, I sent the following message to them:
I just wished to express displeasure with your new website. I find it much more difficult to navigate, the preview images aren't as nice, and the colors are rather garish. Overall, I found the old website much easier on the eyes, and more easy to find product on. I hope you reconsider some of the changes you have made. Thank you.
I got the following response, which came within minutes and is rather vague, leading me to suspect it is just an automated stock response:
Hi there!
We appreciate your feedback, and if you would like to give
any suggestions, we will gladly take them under consideration. As of now, we are
very busy with the new release, and with some technical problems. However, once
things have slowed down a little, we will be able to address your concerns.
Hope we can help,
Alex Black
If the website does indeed remain as it is, I suppose I'll live with it and adjust. But it does just seem so garish, and (more importantly) the interface is overly clunky and not at all intuitive. I miss the ease and simplicity of their old site.
Eventually, I will be wanting to order something. I wonder how smooth (or not smooth) the ordering process is on the new site? Has anyone else gone through it, and care to express their opinion?

The website Toyhax was set up a few months ago when the people at Reprolabels started doing the backdrops for figure displays. So since they're running both Reprolabels and Toy Stage, I believe they combined them for ease of operation.
I just purchased some stickers yesterday, so I can talk about how that went: I payed throughPayPal, so if you do that the process shouldn't be too different.
Personally, I like some things about the new set up; on the plus side, they have separated 3rd party TF stickers from their "Classics" sections. To me this is a huge plus, because sifting through those on the old website was a pain. So I think their organization has gotten better. However, I'm not crazy about the image set up, but I also don't have any suggestions right now on how to make it better.
Right now I think they'll be changing some things and getting it all to run smoothly and look good to the eyes, so I'm not worried that this is the end all set up. Time will tell.

This is one of the few nice things about the new site, although frankly, since technically all their other categories are not Transformers, they could have used a better designation then, "Not TF." "3rd Party TF," maybe?
But having them separated, and under the toy's official name, is the one thing they've done that I like. With multiple third parties sometimes covering the same character, and sometimes those being for characters Hasbro has also done, having them all in the same section and all using the character's name could make for a bit of a cluster-frak.
So cheers to them for that, even if I still boo pretty much everything else about the new website.
