Via Hasbro directly, and the part of their website that caters to media and investors, we have their new Corporate Social Responsibility report for the year 2018 - and along with all the various ways in which the company is pledging its commitments, we also have another look at some fairly small and low resolution renders of the Transformers Authentics character models for Bumblebee, Grimlock, Starscream and Megatron!

We've seen some of these already under the 'evergreen' nickname, but this is probably our best look yet, so check them out below. Also, head here to read more on the 113 page document from Hasbro, if that is up your alley.

If only Hasbro had designed PotP Starscream after this "Evergreen"/"Authentics" design instead. It would have been a smash hit, I'm certain.

I will wait until there are better toys based on these designs which may or may not happen since these designs werent really made with specific toys in mind)

A nice design for Starscream for sure, but I'm more curious about Megatron and Grimlock, since I fear that this line might be similar to the "Classic" one, and those two, well, s**ked a bit in that one.

After the renders we recently saw in our news cycle, we now have the official stock images again (first seen here) - and listings, though not actually in stock - on the US side of the market for the latest toyline from Hasbro: Transformers Authentics. Coming directly onto the HasbroToyShop website, and priced each at $4.99, Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee, and Starscream can be seen though not ordered, and we get a better description of the figures.

Check them out below, look at our previous coverage of some of the figures here, and join the discussion!

Transformers Authentics figures feature popular Transformers characters at a 4.5-inch scale. Experience the excitement of Transformers conversion play with this Transformers Authentics Optimus Prime figure. It changes from robot mode to truck mode and back in just 4 easy steps. Choose a side and collect other Transformers Authentics figures to stage epic Autobot vs. Decepticon battles (each sold separately. Subject to availability).

Bee and Optimus just look sad in both modes while Starscream transform like one of those matchbox car. Pathetic.

Technically they aren't listed on HTS yet, the links from those product pages are all bad.

At least they've finally confirmed that the line is in fact called "Transformers Authentics".

Soon after the recent appearance of the Authentics 4.5" toys on HTS, finally confirming the name of this series, Hasbro now updates their online database to include two new additions to the line we were unaware of thus far. They are none other than Bumblebee and Optimus Prime but in a 7 inch scale. This 7" class also features Grimlock, and he can be found below as well along with their product descriptions which specify that Bumblebee and Optimus convert in 4 steps (that info is erroneously left out of Grimlock's description). Like the 4.5" toys, these are based on the Evergreen designs. While they are new toys, both Optimus and Bumblebee seem to be upscaled versions of those same toys with added articulation. You can see images of the 4.5" toys here for comparison to these 7" toys.

Those 7" versions of Bee and Optimus are still ugly asfak, but just giving them elbows is a great improvements that make the toys worthwhile. And those are better than the RiD and Movie 3 steps. That Grimlock also look pretty boss. Ironically better looking than the horrid PotP version!

If I ever see one in the wild, I may pick one up. Then, I'll get some painting practice. :-?

For relative sizing purposes:

4.5" / 11.4 cm: between Legends & Deluxe Class
7" / 17.8 cm: Voyager Class

(used figures on hand)

... and the latter coming carded works against it when it comes to legitimacy at first sight. Generally speaking, figures of that size are usually boxed; KO's on the other hand are a different story. Not saying they're KO's, just that people will think that they are... at least of similar quality.

Oh, that one ROCK. But he definitely proper hands and some elbows would have been welcome. Plus those would have never hindered the 3 steps gimmick.

I also happen to have 3 steps Thunderhoof but this one is far from perfect. The 3 steps gimmick in his shoulders is not responsive 100% of the time. And finally for the big 1 step TLK Optimus, appart the paint that [ur=https://www.seibertron.com/energonpub/tlk-turbo-changer-optimus-prime-paint-overhaul--t109227.phpl]I IMPROVED[/url] I would really liked a bonus step to fold down the feet for truck mode.

Oh, not at all.
Don't forget that the 3 steps and Turbo Changers toys are voyager sized too and are packaged in a similar fashion. Little kids seem to LOVE touching the plastic and then call mom to buy it. That's why no 1 steps or standard sized Rescue Bots are boxed too.

This is what I was going to say. It's especially odd since there's plenty of space to have given them proper forward elbows.

Grimlock looks like the kind of figure that'll be fun to keep on the desk and just mess around with. Just something cheap and fairly decent looking to quickly transform back and forth.

Waha, I chuckled.

They shouldn't be making these for Gods' sake.

They look absolutely terrible. Repaint Armada Sideswipe 4 times and have them combine with Armada Scavenger for a horrible combiner. Don't do these.

And for the life of my, why can't Hasbro design just ONE Optimus Prime that has the front of the cab as the chestplate? G1 style of course.

How about they rescale G1 Legends Optimus to voyager size with additional articulation and detail, have the legs in the arms flop in the arms or something.
That dude has the perfect easy transformation.

And upscale Legends Starscream (who started off with a mini Waspinator) to voyager as well.

Anybody feel the same way that Hasbro is doing the Legend/scout sized bots a lot better than the Voyagers?

Still, toddlers with smartphones is pretty common nowadays. And many parents forget to turn the purchases off. Then little Timmy spend 10000$ in micro transactions for some shitty game.

That could be added. Upscaling a design doesn't mean, necessarily, keeping all of the articulation unchanged. With a Voyager sized version of Thrilling 30 Legends Starscream, adding a cut to the thigh assembly would be a piece of cake and wouldn't change much of anything about the overall transformation scheme. I'd love to see that design brought to life again in a larger scaled toy, especially since it's a very honest transformation without faux cockpits or other weird design choices.

Someone did some mods to the OSKO Legends Starscream. They made a separate thread to a similarly repainted Skywarp version, too.

I never saw that Predaking for sale in Japan, but always wanted it to competent the Takara only red version. It looked amazing, considering it was an official OSKO, of sorts.

Allow me to give you a kick. Because that Prime Predaking toy is the BEST one of the line. Far superior to either the voyager or the supreme.

While the initial toys from the Authentics line have proven to be lack luster, fans still admit the evergreen designs they are emulating are great. So, for all the fans wishing we had more standard Transformers toys based on these designs, we may have some pretty cool news for you. Weibo user TF Factory posted packaging mock ups for what appears to be a deluxe and voyager class box. These boxes feature Emiliano Santalucia's evergreen Bumblebee design on them, the same image found on the packaging art of the simpler Bumblebee figures. Since we know that there will already be voyager sized simpler figures and that they come in a very different carded packaging, these boxes are definitely for something else, and hopefully that is for figures of more standard complexity.

Let us know if you are pleased by the possibility of getting these designs on other figures and if you feel a voyager Bumblebee makes sense.

For comparison's sake, here is the packaging for the simpler voyager sized figure.

I ususpect that these are actually one of several possible things:

- Existing TFs rebranded under this new line.
- Something obscene, that a kindly mod has edited, to stop a flame-war
- A actual pink, smear of paint, sold as part of the most budget of budget lines, for the developing market.

They're more Generations-style I suspect, with the 8+ Age instead of 6+ for any other line.

As one who doesn't care (but not hate) that much about Bumblebee I wouldn't mind a decent articulated figure of that design, it's the only one out of the Evergreen designs we have seen up close that is a more original design.

You know what this packaging reminds me of AoE. I don't know if that is a good or a bad thing . Oh well :HEADHURTS:

Well, yeah, that's the same new packaging look that Hasbro's been using for all of its main lines since AOE. It's to create brand consistency with all of main Hasbro Transformers lines (except for Rescue Bots since that's instead under Playskool's label).

I have high hopes for this. Maybe they will make voyagers of all the “evergreen” cast - could make up for Starscream and Grimlock’s lackluster PotP releases. :-D Deluxe Bumblebee may have potential too. With this latest leak I really don’t see cyberverse actually having toys. What we’ve seen so far lines up perfectly with these designs, but I may have missed some leaks along the way. Assuming there isn’t something else, we have Authentics Bravo to replace one steps and the like and this stuff (authentics alpha?) to replace warriors and hyper change. Granted Bravo seems aimed at “market six” stores, but some “kids don’t care that it’s bad” figures wound up there anyway. Seems like a huge improvement over RiD if this is the case.
