Today is October 4, 2011; a day that many will not pay much attention to, unless you are a Transformers Fan. For today is the day that Shout! Factory releases seasons 2 and 3 of Beast Wars on DVD for $24.95.
Shout! Factory wrote:When the descendants of the treacherous Decepticons — now known as Predacons — land on a mysterious planet in search of the powerful fuel Energon, it’s up to Optimus Primal and the heroic Maximals to stop them before they conquer the universe!
In 1996 Transformers fans were introduced to this stunning saga created by Hasbro and the studio behind the groundbreaking computer-generated animated series ReBoot. Beast Wars ran for three amazing seasons, won an Emmy® Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation and introduced a new generation of fans to the astonishing world of The Transformers!

the newer releases of beast wars and G1 are pointless.
but i wonder if these seasons will stay in stores like the simpsons seasons which can be found all the time or are they gonna be cancelled within like a year.
and are they re releasing armada, energon, and cybertron? does anyone know?

yeah i hope they re release those three series
i really only need to complete armada but the first half is really expensive online and even when i saw it in stores.
it would be cool if hasbro makes a new universe line and they release toys from beast wars through cybertron
i need another energon prime <3

Though, I'm waiting for the complete series set. Darn it, when is that gonna come out already?!
The new releases to G1 are superior to the old ones.Megatronsdemise666 wrote:Dr. Heavy B wrote:still waffeling. what kinda special features do they got, I already have the rhino release

the newer releases of beast wars and G1 are pointless.
As for special features, this set includes:
- Remembering The Spark Featurette: Members of the voice cast reunite to look back on voicing the Maximals and Predacons of Beast Wars
- Original making of Beast Wars
- Art gallery
- Original character models
No word. If they do, I hope those don't include any bonus features, as the previous releases didn't and I don't wanna double dip on the Unicron Trilogy like I am with G1, JG1, and Beast Wars.Megatronsdemise666 wrote:and are they re releasing armada, energon, and cybertron? does anyone know?

It was actually the spark of Optimus Prime he took, to save him from being killed by ol' Grapeface.
I'm waiting until November when the whole set is released as one, along with the prequel book.

Unless I'm missing something, those appear to be the only two bonus features that weren't carried over from the Rhino DVDsTheTigerKing84 wrote:Does anyone know if it includes the deleted scene from the last episode? What else is there to say of it that isn't already known?TheTigerKing84 wrote:What about any info on the Episode "dark glass " (shattered glass?)whereRattrap tries to restore the memories of Dinobot into Dinobot 2 and failing But better explain his actions one Rampage is defeated. The episode was considered too dark and replaced with "go with the flow".
He's talking about a deleted scene, not what happened in the actual show. Remember that BW Megs took G1 Megs' spark for himself too.Rodimus Prime wrote:It was actually the spark of Optimus Prime he took, to save him from being killed by ol' Grapeface.

Unless you live in Canada. If you do, thanks to the jerks @ Alliance Atlantis, it's to quote Homer Simpson "a day like every other day."

I guess the spoilers were unnecessary... Anyway, for some reason I forgot about that. I just remember G1 Prime's spark. 4 more weeks, and the whole set is out.

Any word on if Shout Factory is going to put out Beast Machines? I haven't seen a single episode of that but it's reputation is extremely intriguing. I'd blind buy the original release of it, but I'd kind of prefer to have a uniform packaging if Shout Factory is going to release it.

No word, but I kinda hope they don't. nothing against Shout! Factory, but Rhino's release of it was pretty darn good (minus one or two quibbles) and had a fair number of pretty good bonus content (three audio commentaries and four interviews).Kingpun wrote:Any word on if Shout Factory is going to put out Beast Machines? It's also out of print, meaning those of us who missed it the first time around would like to have a chance to get it again. And I don't imagine they wouldn't, since they did release Beast Wars.
Of course, it doesn't really matter for me, since whatever rights issues prevent Shout from releasing Beast Wars in Canada most likely also apply to Beast Machines, too.
