No, they're not. We've been through this. Any time they appear in official imagery from Hasbro it has grey hands cuz they keep using slightly older prototypes. Not only have multiple separate people's final in-hand copies show that the hands are painted blue, but the most recent official Takara photography in Figure King magazine has them painted blue, as well. They. Will. Be. Blue.

you can fix starscreams chest by simply taking a small screwdriver and slightly enlarging the holes in the chest piece so it pegs in better. I have 4 copies of starscream (3 i modded) and i've done this to all of them and i can transform them without it popping off. Its the same fix for ironhides leg panels.

Of course the elephant in the room is that — although a great toy — he is half the size of his rival Fort Max. It will be excellent to get a properly sized double headmaster Scorponok this year. Truly stoked!

Though, I hope it's another boxset for the Coneheads. I know it was a hassle to get because it was a Target exclusive, but I think that the idea of packing three less iconic figures into a three pack, and then selling it for like $10 cheaper than it would be otherwise was a good one. On the other hand, I'm willing to bet that consumers didn't really care for it considering how fast it went on clearance after the holidays
Target is not aways a good Barometer for stuff like that. The stores have always tended to turn and burn stuff, especially Exclusives that have been out for a while, rather than letting it linger.

Fair enough. One of my friends is still annoyed that the day after he bought Bumblebee Soundwave it was put on clearance, even though the store had just started getting them

Also worth noting is that later wave releases of Starscream (sharing space with Springer, Thundercracker and any 35th Voyager) has the tolerances fixed.

Arcee: There is nothing I want more than a Prime-styled Arcee. Otherwise, I don't want it.
Airwave: The concept of this guy really intrigues me.
Alicon: A probable buy.
Smokescreen: I hope, again, for a G1 Prime version

I would be OK with this as well. We just got a G1 Smokescreen this year, this new one should be either Prime or Armada. mix it up some!

I've been recently kicking myself for not buying Prime Arcee in the stores back when it was available. It's one of those regrets that's become difficult to rectify, like skipping on TFA Samurai Prowl.
Earthrise-wise, though, I think I'd prefer an IDW-esque sports car Arcee, although it doesn't necessarily have to have RBF.

Same here. I'm not in the market for a new Arcee, but I'm open to being tempted. What's wrong with resting bot face? If they do go IDW, I hope she looks mad/mean. The T30's face is just so ... nothing and always reminded me of TFWiki Twiki.Glarryg wrote:Earthrise-wise, though, I think I'd prefer an IDW-esque sports car Arcee

What if that Arcee is either a Prime homage (discussed previously) or an energon homage?

I'd like that as well. It could be both if Hasbro and Takara play there retool/repaint cards right.
I'm all for a non-G1 Arcee, since the Takara Legends version is absolutely perfect. It's already a great representation of the original G1 cartoon character model. It's also a smaller than average Deluxe Class toy and fits in perfectly with the slightly downscaled Deluxe Class of the War for Cybertron Trilogy toys. If you want a more playable Arcee, there's the Titans Return version which still looks great in its own right and homages an often overlooked part of the G1 cartoon lore, when Daniel became binary bonded with Arcee as her Headmaster, saving his life. Let's see what comes of this Earthrise Arcee.

I haven't been keeping up with discussion so I wasn't aware multiple people had copies with blue fists. Good to know that's the case. Weird that Hasbro keeps using the older prototype instead of the official deco, but Hasbro does what Hasbro does.

Well, I'm not too fond of the T30 face, either, but I'm more tired of the idea that "badass = super-angry all the time." There are plenty of friendly badasses out there. The Tick, for example.

It's too bad no one has gotten their hands on the voyagers yet for an early review. The above video would be that much better to have ALL of the wave 1 Autobots, which would include Voyager Class Grapple.

Can't say I'm very familiar with TTM, but is it any different than retailer exclusive figures like here in the states? Are the figures fairly easy to obtain by people in that market at a reasonable/comparable price?JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Which is quite curious. Think of it like this. Imagine if Hasbro and Takara were to put out another shared line together (like they have with both POTP and Siege), in which the majority of the figures would be sold at standard retail in Japan, while in Hasbro's markets, only half would go to Target and Walmart while the other half would only be sold by Hasbro Pulse from the line's onset, despite all of the figures being ordinary figures intended for normal retail. That's what's weird.carytheone wrote:Can't say I'm very familiar with TTM, but is it any different than retailer exclusive figures like here in the states? This is just a hunch, but this may be TakaraTomy tentatively acknowledging that the line is aimed more at older fans/collectors, who order online more. Also, don't online-only items have lower production numbers than their physical store brethren? That may reduce the risk of losses if a character hasn't sold particularly well in the past, or don't have high projected sales.
