Fellow Seibertronian gema brings the final pictorial review of BotCon 2015 exclusives, as confirmed by a recent report from the event here - featuring the Generations Roadbuster redeco into Generation 2 General Optimus Prime, in green camo! Check out thoughts and photos below, and head here for more.

The paint apps and finishing is nicely done and detailed. Even the rims are fully painted.
Not sure about the others but when I first saw him, the camo itself is not enough to identify him. Luckily, the G2 Autobot logo narrowed down the search.

While the original G2 version transformed into a dumper truck, having a new version of General Optimus Prime that transform into a fully weaponize off-road vehichle is not really a bad choice (personally).

Personally, the alt mode is just okay for me, not bad but not great either. But I'm really surprised how the robot mode turn out to be with G2 General Optimus Prime's paint scheme.

Not only he has the same star on the chest just like the unreleased G2 version, the head sculpt does resembles the original mold which can explain why Roadbuster mold was chosen in the first place.

The quality of the figure is pretty much the same as previous variants and the joints are even tighter than my Generations Roadbuster.

I want those bugs :x Adding Reflector in the mix was probably forced, bumping up the value to the standard Scout-Deluxe grey area, and being gang-molded with Skrapnel. :-?

btw Anybody notice that the bio card has no faction symbol of any kind:

Zaptrap himself is more like an animal, with Beet-Chit as his master or "pilot". They have to be from the Diaclone universe, now part of the Cymond cluster along with other TF-related franchises (like Microman, Yuusha/Brave and even Starriors). Can't wait to see the other Souvenirs.

Some members of funpub have said, on other sites, that they either dislike the mold, or find it too "difficult".
They don't want to mess with the crap shoulder engineering. I'm good with it.

Guys, I may have found the name of the Reflector redeco: Spy-Eye. If it sounds familiar yet a bit lame, you'd be right as that's the name of a Super Gobot:

Spy-Eye on TFU.info.

The name supposedly comes from the comic, and those who have it say he works with the Diaclone guys, so his toy is a good guy but comes with bad guys.

I'm super into this as a warudaros homage. This definitely makes the set for me. At first I was disappointed the freebie wasn't a deluxe, but this is pretty much perfect

Wow, FunPub is clever.

I just found out that Burnout and Lift-Ticket aren't new names, rather they're two characters from the G.I. Joe franchise. Not for nothing, as Henshin Cyborg, Microman and Diaclone are all descended from our G.I. Joe.

aw I was hoping the pink one would be more unique in character. It's interesting they used one of the new head budgets for G2 SGT hound, yet the head doesn't appear anywhere else. Maybe they're saving it for the TFSS like with breakdown?

Oh wow, looking through the gallery; I love that pink waspy so much. It's like late 80's early 90's waspinator. He's not 80's, but not 90s. Like G2 but not. Dated, but wonderfully so. for the sake of character, I shall dub him "New Jack Swing" Waspinator.

A couple interesting items in that set of conference specials.

So which two-pack is which on the etailer pre-orders pages?

Is the one with OP and Hound the $129 or the $139 pack? I'm guessing the latter.

Too pricey for me.

I wouldn't count on it. The Club has said that the Blitzwing mold is hard to work with, I'm guessing with the shoulder problems and the color layout.

Homages to the old (Diaclone for Lift-Ticket and Burnout, as well as Dia and Cline) and the canceled (Sgt. Hound and General Optimus Prime) are automatically cool in my book. Love how the bios are done, especially for the Waruder with every variation called out and given names:

Image
Mudfighter with Thrasher (Fox Kids Transmetal homage)

Image
Paralyzer with Buzzer

Image
Parasite with Ripper (Halloween Horrorcon homage)

Image
Storm Rider with Crusher

Any significance to those names? Another couple of G.I. Joe throwbacks like Lift-Ticket and Burnout?

I quite like that yellow Waspinator, would be my first choice if I could have any of them (even over retail/show-accurate Waspinator).
The white/pink one is surprisingly attractive, too.

My comment was referring to the Red Hoist and Purple-ish Swerve (and maybe Black Skids) toys being seen in a club magazine comic a few months back as Evil Autobots hanging out with SG Rodimus.

That set has the highest price tag and and had the most number of pieces made this year, at least for the souvenirs (2,000). I'd say it has the greatest chance of not selling out merely based on those two factors, but you never know. Rainmakers were made in greater numbers a few years back and sold out faster than anything else in that set.

I'm 99% certain General Admission can buy from the Club Store, but only after all preregistered con-goers have had a chance to go through the line.

Speculation is that it could be the next Transformers Figure Subscription Service based on G1's "Mayhem Attack Squad", so stay tuned for more developments because Botcon 2015 is just getting started!
