Grimstone has always dreamed of power and the privilege it brings. Despite his hunger for power, however, he has always considered the needs of others before himself. He believes it is the responsibility of the powerful to protect those less fortunate - a belief he intends to aggressively enforce now that he has his own Power Core team.

Bio
Steamhammer knows there's another Decepticon team out there with the same name as his. He doesn't care. The strength granted him through the Power Core process is more than enough to destroy anyone who dares to challenge him.
Strength 10 Intelligence 4
Speed 4 Endurance 10
Rank 7 Courage 8
Firepower 5 Skill 7

I will translate that into "Me Power Core is stupid."
I'll be happy when these things are off the shelf to make way for products that I'm interested in buying.
Ah well, at least in the interim, we have a lot of Deluxe class classics to play with.

PCC aren't G1. They're some bizarre sub-universe of their own. I'm sure the Japanese'll connect them to G1 though.amcgrath929 wrote:No connection to the original Dinobots huh?

Hmm, well isn't that a bummer. It would be cool to have some sort of history between the two.

I thought a Collector Club magazine that came out shortly before their launch implied they were originally a Bayniverse spin-off if anything. Something about the necessity of combining with sparkless drones because merging fully sentient minds would create "monsters like Devastator", leaving true gestalt technology verboten. Granted, that almost sounds like the IDW-verse take on gestalts, but I'd swear they were originally supposed to be expanded movie stuff.

It's all a bit up in the air. For example, Smolder appears in Cyber Missions, implying that they're Bayverse residents. That said, Hasbro's perspective is that they can fit in anywhere. Toys is toys, after all.Bumblevivisector wrote:amcgrath929 wrote:Diem wrote:PCC aren't G1. They're some bizarre sub-universe of their own. My take? Grimstone was a wannabe Dinobot that Grimlock washed out because 'stone was too interested in being the big bad Dinobot to be a big bad Dinobot. So he went and signed up with the PCC and is now back to prove himself worthy in the eyes of his heroes. (Grimlock will probably see it as a lot of show and sad excuse for almost real power)
But that's jsut me. I'd love to make it into a Mosaic, but I have no artistic talent.

and that B) The constructicon bio mentions (vaguely) the other movie-verse
constructicons..
Huffer's bio may seem to imply ties to G1, but the mention of his
(being more gruff then ever) is just to refresh peoples memories/let people know
about who he is personality wise.
I hated these initially but I have Huffer, Combaticons and Protectobots now, and
probably get Destrons / Aerialbots to round my collection.
Still don't know if I could have Searchlight in my classic collection, unless
he gets a new G1 accurate head some how, Huffer too.
And evol Inferno... shame..shame... ...didn't even get his Name..or pred logos..

Anyway I just grabbed both sets and a Mudslinger set, hit the self-checkout, scanned Mudslinger twice, and was out the door.
