Cant wait for these. G2 megs is awesome (no intention of using the ugly chest sticker) Im only buying windblade for the targetmaster, skipping the clones cuz I got Hasbros. Cartoon accurate orange faces would have made me buy in, bad choice Takara.

G2 Megatron looks great. I'm trying to decide whether it will be worth displaying him with my United Megs for posterity, or just selling United Megs outright. :-D

Also, Windblade is a beauty! I'm still bummed I haven't found the last Titans Return wave anywhere, but at least I've got the Takara versions on their way.

If you're going to get Japanese versions, you should look into the Japanese cartoons as well:

G2 Megatron would be the only one I'm getting from this batch... maybe the Clones too.

I wish Takara gave us a Megatron with a classic paintjob. This one does look really nice, but there is no place in my collection to put him. The Decepticlones look great, very happy about those, can't wait to get them.

How in the name of Zod did people in Japan get these so early? I'm sure the release date was the 24th of February, and I'm writing this post at 5:45am, on 24th of February, in Japan.

Time Zones ;) Japan's is UTC +9, compared to the US' UTC -5 to -8, that winds up to them being more than half a day ahead of us

I'm IN Japan, right now. Japan doesn't get deliveries at the start of the day until at least around 8am. I'm SURE the delivery date was the 24th. I even live in the main Tokyo Bay area where all the depots, ports, etc are.

I cant speak to how strict things are in Japan, but I used to work in a retail store in the United States. We could get deliveries of time sensitive items a few days before release date, but as a store employee I could purchase them as soon as they came in.

Maybe you got the date wrong? Because I got an e-mail from HLJ yesterday for the Clones.

Woops.

The official release date seems to be more like a date when you're supposed to find them in B&M stores, whereas online stores seemingly ships them out earlier.

So I'm curious now, do Japans release dates often occur on a Friday/Saturday?
Because I could get behind that rigidity.

If you're in Australia, it's 2 hours in front of us in Japan, is it not?

As for the date, Amazon Japan/Ami Ami stated that the figures would be delivered on the 24th. I heard from others using other services that this was the same for them, too. That's why I'm confused that so many people seem to have gotten them, presumably on Friday evening, on the 23rd, in Japan.

As for me, yes, most deliveries are on a Friday night or Saturday. Recently, though, most deliveries have been on a Saturday for me. I think Takara's release schedule is usually also around the 25th of each month, at that the average/most popular "payday" in Japan.

(Reverse posted to avoid clutter?)

Burn wrote:

Well there's your answer right there. Online stores must be shipping them a day earlier so they are set to arrive the following day.
Must be a damn good postal service if they're arriving the same day!

In not sure if I follow. I live a 10-15 minute (depending on traffic) drive away from Tokyo Bay, where you can see all the main HQs/main shipping depots for Amazon, and other such places. I ordered online, too, so I don't know how people got them before me.

I think jelze means b&m in japan, but, of course if that's what you meant, and TT doesn't sell their toys at b&m in japan at all, then it would make sense that they're hemorrhaging money and need to borrow the potp figures from hasbro

Honestly, if they're being shipped out early, these people probably paid to have it over-nighted to them, or they know people

I cannot state if the latest figures are available, but previous figures in the Legends like are available at Yodabashi Camera (I think, I always get the shop names mixed up). I posted this picture, showing them for sale (to children of any age), next to regular TFs several weeks ago.

IMG_20180211_171424.jpg

I haven't, as yet, seen them for sale in any other children's toy departments or Toys R Us, though.

It has an estimated date for US shipping of, "Arriving Feb 28 - Mar 3".
Either way, in a week and change, he should be in hand!

I think it's the Targetmaster that came with Windbag.

Anyway, guess what came in the post, about an hour ago?

Google Translated Bios:

Wingspan and Pounce
These twin Clonetrons, split from their Clonebot brethren to fulfill their ambitions with the Decepticons. Wingspan transforms into a condor and takes aim at prey from the sky, while Pounce transforms into a Jaguar and persistently tracks enemies on the ground.

Windblade
Windblade has the power to shake whole worlds. Her decisions affect the fate of all Transformers; Survival or death, are insignificant in her quest for justice. Her evolution into a Headmaster and Targetmaster makes her a deadly foe.

G2 Megatron
Megatron generated a new Transtector body for himself and is now a Headmaster. Megatron can use his new triple-changing ability to turn into both a robot, tank and jet fighter to bring fear to his enemies, showing that he's truly an Emperor of Destruction! His partner, "Noble", who quietly follows him, has a mysterious existence.

I've used a few liberties, also due to my poor Japanese skills...

No, we have not. If you find them or have them and can scan them, please send that info to our news team by clicking the link in my signature.

It's Beast Megatron, though, so I imagine if the story is anything like that then the purple would just happen to look like G2 Megatron by accident.

Please give me the email address here and I'll copy and paste it. I was going to do this incognito, but, oh well.

There's no mention of him being BW Megatron in his bio. The only reference in the bio is to "Noble". The comic translation might be a different matter.

As for me, he's Archforce. In my head-cannon, Archforce and Megastorm are two brothers and clones of Megatron (made at the same facility that made Megaplex, Reverse Convoy, etc). They both go on to become BW Galvatron and Gigastorm respectively...

There was an extra piece of paper that came with the clone bots. Basically, it said that the (final) robot modes for Pounce/Wingspan were mixed up with each other in the original instructions, so users should refer to the new sheet instead.

For most of us, this isn't really a problem, though.

(META - That's interesting; files previously attached to one thread can't be linked to at a different thread, even though they are being hosted at the same site. Surely that creates delicate files and increases bandwidth?)

Cheers! For some reason, the link was dead? No idea why. This one works, though:

Now I've got to buy this figure to go with it:

Both of them 404. This forum software doesn't like these links. I've tried to do it another way to make it work, above.

How did you do that? Also, do the mods/staff know about this problem?

I used [ url ] and [ / url] tags to make it work.

I'm not sure if they know.

Anchors are rarely used these days, this "problem" is incredibly minor.

But hey, feel free to bring it up in the appropriate thread and Ryan will determine whether he needs to patch things or not.
(You can find it in any sub-forum. It's really not hard to find)

Anyway, looking at Legends Windbag, I've noticed that her sword and scabbard are seemingly based upon the TF Adventure version. Some changes include:

- Moving the peg for storage in jet mode from one end to the other (scabbard).
- various details (scabbard).
- wider blade, so that the original pink blade cannot go into the new Legends scabbard.
- clear blade (sword).

However, the rectangular peg seems the same, so either Windbag can mount either scabbard on their thighs and can hold either sword.

Based on this, what are the differences with T30 Windblade's sword?

Is that the version of Windbag that was remolded later into Slipstream? I never got that version when it came out, and then the secondary market prices for it were OBSCENE in Akiba.

Sure is. The weapons of T30 and RiD Windblade are similar in appearance, but there are minor differences.
