I thought it said Dark Knight and was very confused. I do like the subtitle though. Sounds interesting and fun.

Is it just me or is that a new font?

Greebles EVERYWHERE!

Seems like they're following thru on the utterly random knight theme, which is something. Given how such plot points as Prime and Megs being "brothers" or the Hatchlings went, I fully expected to never hear of the Knights again.

Purple eyes, hmm....

Well that's...kinda stupid, but not entirely? I dunno. It's hard for me to get excited about the films. That'll probably change when it gets closer though.

Prime goes off exploring, we don't see what happens to him, and he comes back to earth evil with purple eyes and killing everyone. Someone drops a line calling him nemesis prime.

Grimlock will be killed on-screen in the first 15 minutes. Hound and Crosshairs will be killed off-screen. Drift and the other Dinobots will never even be mentioned. That's what I'm predicting.

10/10 best TLDR I've seen in a while.

Not crazy about the subtitle nor the new font. A trailer would help me get excited for this.

The fact that they're calling it "The Last Knight" makes me wonder if they're gonna kill off the Dinobots in the first hour of this thing (cause you know it's gonna be over 2 hours long).

Huh, the sub suggests a degree of continuity, that'd be a step up. Giving Prime a vague arc in Age of Extinction was probably the first time a live-action TF movie has tried to have a Transformer as a relatable character who can grow and change, so it'd be nice if we continue that.

While I don't have much attachment to the live actions, I've made peace with them. (Nice injection of cash into the franchise, too.) Low imagination action blockbuster, eh. I'm always open to being proven wrong, but I'll be waiting until I can catch it on Netflix or DVD or something, not enough engagement to watch in a theater.

Hotrodimus (Cavalier count?)

Victory Leo (He's Knighty knight)

That's all I recall. Could one of them be present?

Mark Wahlberg better sing The Touch in this one.

Seriously though, I hope Unicron is in this one. Just because it would seem to be a shame to have a big multi million dollar movie and not use it to present a big planet eating super monstrosity destroying everything. It's what multi million dollar movies are for.

They should save Unicron until the end of this universe they're trying to build. Why would you have the biggest threat the franchise has to offer show up before the end of it? They already screwed up having The Fallen be the villain of the second movie. They should have saved him for close to the end, too.

Because this horrible fanbase treat these movies like it's supposed to be for them when it's not it's meant to get new people into Transformers it worked for my little sister and it works with many kids and I have seen many a thread that had older people stated they either got into Transformers because of the movies or got back into it after leaving it.

Do these movies have bad humor and less robot action sometimes...maybe but really unless your Disney no one is really going to treat Transformers as a serious franchise and you guys are actually lucky to have Bay be the director because most Directors are going to do what he does but with less quality and that thing is pandering to normal audiences.

The bad humor you people so hate is pandering for them so is all the big explosions and gruesome action scenes and all of it is done with some quality especially thanks to Industrial Light & Magic and other companies.

These movies are not great but they are entertaining popcorn munching movies and for many that's enough if people are expecting a movie like MTMTE it will never happen.

It's his lack of talking and the other obnoxious sounds he makes because of that that those who don't like him don't like.

Note that when I refer to the sounds he makes as "obnoxious", I say that not as one who dislikes Bumblebee (as I do not hate him), but from an objective standpoint. It's like calling Kade Burns from Rescue Bots obnoxious: It's not knocking the guy, it's true (and people love Kade's obnoxiousness).

Maybe we're going about this title all wrong. Maybe it's not Optimus who's the last knight. Maybe's it's someone else. Maybe Prime even knights this guy.

I can see it now:

Optimus: "From this day forward, you will carry on the legacy of those long since passed. You will forge a new brotherhood to continue what we started. By the power invested in me by the great Knights of Cybertron, I hereby dub thee Sir Cade Yeager, the Last Knight."

You can have a 'good' movie, and still have a great summer popcorn flick; just look at Civil War, or Deadpool, or Pacific Rim, or any other on a long list of 'good' films. These movies are not 'good', and a lot of people are sick of the nonexistent quality of the writing and - sometimes - acting and direction.

It's cool if you like them, but they are far from being even 'average' movies, in fact, I'd say that they're almost as bad as the Star Wars prequels, but for (mostly) different reasons. These can be good movies, they could even be great movies, Guardians of the Galaxy has shown us that one can indeed elevate schlock, and turn it into a great movie going experience, and it all starts with the one thing they've been lacking from day one, solid writing and solid acting/direction.

I liked the idea of Knights and Pirates when Funpub gave them to us 2 years ago, I actually think it falls into place nicely and helps this very cramped universe grow that much more, and wouldn't mind various mediums exploring it more in-depth :-?

I can't quantify that as well as some others probably could, but, I'm pretty sure that we all know the general rules, you know, quality writing, a coherent plot, depthful characters... like I said, it's cool if you like them, I like them too, but they are not 'good' movies'.

Compare these two tidbits from Age of Extinction:
a) One of the cast, Drift, was never mentioned by name during the movie's 150 minute runtime.
b) There was apparently time for a scene outlining exceptions to the age of consent present in Texan legislature (although the details were off).

While those aren't the only problems, or even the largest, I think it's fair to say they're clear symptoms of the lack of clear goals/vision/structure in making the film.

That is one ugly-ass wordmark for the new movie. I really hope Hasbro isn't planning on adopting that franchise-wide.

Were Optimus' eyes purple after the last movie? Or perhaps there is something... Darker at play, if you catch my drift.

The font kinda reminds me of when they moved from G1 to G2 and Headmasters and such. But for some reason, it kind of feels a little generic. Maybe it's the sword or something, I dunno.

I've always rather been neutral on the Bay films, but I am beginning to think that they should just reboot the whole thing and start a cinematic universe the proper way: On Cybertron. They could even do standalone spotlight films to start things off, like Marvel. Say, a Decepticon spotlight film detailing the rise of Megatron, then an Autobot film to show Optimus' origin story.

But perhaps I'm just tired of the storytelling these movies give us. Doesn't it seem to always start with something along the lines of "Millions of years ago, there was... The CUBE" or "Millions of years ago, there were... The PRIMES" and so on? It almost feels like there was no direction that they wanted to go initially, that every movie was meant to stand alone. The sad part is, the movies do stand alone, and not in a good way. I mean, Bay does a good job of killing off pretty much any important villain at the end of almost every movie.

I know I sound rather salty, but hey, I didn't say I wasn't looking forward to seeing how this movie will develop. It could be really good! I hope it is! I didn't think I'd like Prime at first, but it quickly became one of my favorite Transformers shows. (And honestly I think the TCU could take a few pages out of Prime's book) Marvel movies used to suck really bad, and look how far they've come. But I do think that it should just be rebooted.

Ok, what would these movies have to do to be considered "good"?

I can't quantify that as well as some others probably could, but, I'm pretty sure that we all know the general rules, you know, quality writing, a coherent plot, depthful characters... like I said, it's cool if you like them, I like them too, but they are not 'good' movies'.

I believe the more appropriate term for this would be "well constructed movies".

They could even do standalone spotlight films to start things off, like Marvel. Say, a Decepticon spotlight film detailing the rise of Megatron, then an Autobot film to show Optimus' origin story.

That would've been amazing! I mean, Prime did that same story through a bunch of still images, but managed to convey more feelings and characterization than all 4 movies to date :BANG_HEAD:

Fair enough, but even a well constructed movie can miss the mark of 'good', but I fully agree.
