Of course now I want more info on the gift set more than ever. What's going to be the deco!?

I like Blot and Cutthroat quite a bit. Well actually....i like them all accept for Hun-Grrr. He's alright but not good enough in my books.

Back in my day, Legends-sized figures all had different weapons!
***OLD MAN MODE DEACTIVATED***
Anyway, I understand that there reasons why most of them have the same weapons, but it just kinda bugs me.
I'm a little disappointed there aren't any images of the Terrorcons' combined mode. I'm curious as to how the decos would work on Abominus.

Same here. But I might do what I normally do with my other figures: yank them off the shelf and reposition/reconfigure them elsewhere.

Manterax Prime wrote:Well, Hasbro did Bruticus in the deluxe scale. I don't see what's stopping them from making a deluxe scaled Abominus.
This was explained VERY well in another thread, but I'll try to sum it up.
Bruticus is a current character and a BIG, important character in the video game. It made sense to spend the expenditure on a deluxe-sized version. They expected it to sell (and, despite the molds' issues, it has sold VERY well and continues to do so, because it's so AWESOME).
Their doing Abominus is literally throwing us a bone. The new generation of fans has NO idea who this "Abominus" guy is other than apparently he's a combiner made of Predacons. Therefore, Hasbro decided to do it in Cyberverse Legion scale, it minimize costs AND throw us a (also very awesome) bone while they were doing it. To top it off, it sets a precedent; if combiners continue to do well, they'll make more in various scales.
I'd guess that this is at least in part a test to see if it will do well. Remember, the last gestalt we got in Legion/Legends scale was the very cool, but very poorly articulated, Rotf Devastator. They're trying an actual humanoid gestalt this time.
monstergrotusque wrote:if i see them on sale for dirt cheap i would pick them up.
Good luck with that. I've never seen Legions on sale except at 5Below, and I don't have any of those around me.

I love how all the Terrorcons can apparently hold weapons in their mouths!

Legends came with weapons before Prime?

I think/hope you may be referring to me. Either way, these new pictures only make me want the set more. I really love how Blight and Rippersnapper's transformations are similar but not exactly the same. Enough to show they're closely associated within a faction and even that both form legs. But different enough to exist with out the other.
Grade A stuff Hasbro

The only Terrorpred I want is Windrazor. Looks an amazing mold with the best damn color scheme I've seen in ages months. On the rear side: Twinstrike is bland, Hun-Gurr is indescribably awful, and Rippersnapper incorporates a boring deco. Abominus wears his moniker fittingly...what an abomination. No complaints with Blight, but I have no reason to buy him.
Soundwave looks terrific.

Are you sure they don't combine? Is the Target set going to have special versions of the figures with some modified parts to allow them to combine? I figured they'd all combine.

The regular release does combine. They have the little pegs and ports for it, if you look closely. The set will only be 1) all of them in one place 2) with some other colour scheme. It just wouldn't make sense to create first a non-combining mold and then a combining mold for these guys. That's an unnecessary expense.

They look like Decepticon symbols. Soundwave is a Decepticon. Am I missing something?

They're not Decepticon symbols; they're tattoos of his head!
Am I missing something?
Not really. It's quite clear that they're Decepticon insignia.

No, just the normal Decepticon symbol, in silver.

Looks to me like it has triangle eyes, like the original.

If you say so. I'm pretty sure it's just the regular-eye'd symbol though.

Are we certain the Target set will have different colors? I have yet to compare the early photos of the set with the official individual pics from Hasbro. I just want to know so I can decide which one I want to spring for. Thanks in advance for the information!
Posted by PrymeStriker on February 27th, 2013 @ 1:02pm CST
Never fear, though. It should change for the final product. In a similar case for example, Lazerback's stock image had the prototype Predacon insignia while the final product had the "final draft."

The solicitation we saw where it confirmed it would be Target exclusive said at the bottom right something to the effect of, "This will be released in the same mold with a new color scheme."

That'd be Sinnertwin, my friend. Rippersnapper is the vaguely Man-shark like fellow. Blot is..a bipedal ... thing, Cutthroat has wings, and Hun-Gurrr is the leader.

Besides, there's already a Rippersnapper in this line.

They do? Uh, Maybe I need to re-read this thread but I don't see any pix or confirmation here.. If there is confirmation someplace else please link it for further reading.

There are clearly pegs on the limbs and pegholes on Hun-Gurrr which have NO purpose other than combining.
You have Sinnertwin in hand, man! XD

Don't really see any pegs on the other figs nor can I see how they would successfully combine.. Maybe if Hun Gurr was a legion commander sized... I will look on my sinnertwin and see if I can figure out how he would combine as a leg.

Sinnertwin is an arm, we don't know if it can scramble yet. Hun-gurr has peg holes on his robot mode arms for sure, I haven't noticed where the other set is.
Posted by Cyber Bishop on March 1st, 2013 @ 4:47pm CST
I see some pegs on each side of his legs that looks as if they could snap into Hun Gurr's arm holes..
Now I am interested..

Now you're getting it!
Edit: Oh, duh, there are clip points underneath Hun-gurrr's beast heads, those are obviously how the legs attach. I hope there's a peg that goes into the mouths as well, for stability's sake.
