I am hoping he will be huge, like 9-10 inches tall. They can put more in his size since he really doesn't transform. I also want him to have a removable face, staff that folds and can go through his head, and a matrix.

Oh right. On the one hand, no great loss. On the other hand, which altmode should the figure have?
It's like the comments above regarding The Fallen. Technically they could simply make him in the RED line and state that is the SS iteration.

Great to see her getting some love. First the Cyberverse, Generations and Masterpiece Arcee in which I think Cyberverse Arcee is the winner.
Now we get an Authentics Arcee which incorporates the vehicle stuff better in Robot mode and now this Bumblebee movie Arcee which looks great!
I'm totally sold on all the Generations figures of the Bumblebee movie Cybertron scene. Will get them all eventually.
Good times people! Well, not for your shelf/table/storage space and wallet. I want almost 90% of everything Generations Hasbro/Takara pumps out.
If they redo Classics Jetifre into a Valkyrie that would be sweet.

I'm afraid thrilling 30 Leader Jetfire was as close as you get as Takara won't want to be advertising a competitors product.

I think you are right, Bandai or the rights holders are pretty sharp on it.
However you all remember Energon Windrazor, that was a pretty awesome Jet transformer with great and simple transformation. And Cyberverse Jetfire (flew under the radar for a lot of people I think) has also a great transformation and 2 modes.
And we have that Cyber Battalion Jetfire who's also pretty damn awesome in my book.
On Arcee, I hope she will be the new look for her in Live Action movies. She looks very G1 and feminine, curvy and also a bit cute. I love the design and hope they repaint her a couple of times. Will get all.
Also hope they make Cyberverse Chromia, her cuteness scale was of the charts

At the scale Studio Series is at, Frenzy would have to be a tiny nontransforming figure like Igor, Ravage, or the Sam that came with ROTF Bumblebee. Definitely bigger than Wheelie and Brains, though.
The Buzzworthy Clunker Bee and Barricade pack would have been a perfect opportunity to include Frenzy, but since that didn't happen maybe we'll get a Studio Series accessory pack like they did for WFC not too long ago? That'd be a good opportunity to include Frenzy and some missing weapon accessories, like Bumblebee's missile launchers, Sentinel's shield and rust cannon, the rifles that Barricade, the Dreads, and Decepticon protoforms all use in DOTM, Prime's hooks, 07 Megatron's fusion cannon, and other stuff like that.
Speaking of the 07 cast in SS, I think Dispensor would be the perfect scale for core class.

I can't remember if Arcee is listed in the Rise of the Beasts cast, if not then I reckon we'll see her again in the forthcoming prequel Cybertron movie, where she'll keep the same alt (or slightly different to sell more toys)

Arcee is set to be in Rise Of The Beasts! No robot mode pictures yet, but she will be the red motorcycle. I should think the design will be more humanoid than the ROTF version, both for practicality's sake and to keep continuity with her look from Bumblebee.

Since when have the live action movies cared about consistency Hasbro/paramount are still counting this as Transformers 7 after all

If Hasbro considers this to be in the same timeline as the Bay movies, that's one thing. But ROTB seems to be following up from Bumblebee's efforts to diverge into a new continuity. All it has to do is fit in with Bumblebee, and then it can do whatever else it likes, and we can at least act like there are two different film series.

There you go. Core class isn't exactly a "scale" so really anything can go as far as I can tell. Not sure if he on his own would work, but maybe a two pack with the Oreo bot from AoE.
I'd buy it.

You have to give the Studio Series designers more credit. Many of the robots seen at the Cybertron scene in Bumblebee, weren't designed with transformation in mind, but the toys still managed to pull it off.
If they want to give an alternate mode to a toy, they can do it.

They certainly have ...a few more options than the Cybertron BB characters. Unlike them however, when it comes to The Fallen, I don't think it matters as much.

AllNewSuperRobot wrote:It is a bit weird that considering he doesn't transform into anything in ROTF. He has two altmode variations in the movie toyline?
I'm not sure I follow. Do you mean the 2 previous toy molds (voyager vs. legends)? Or do you mean getting possible a different mode now as compared to the previous? Because I would consider the first 2 toys the same alt mode, just limited by the class size restraints.
No clue whether they will use any of the previous altmode cues or go with something new. But I wouldn't find anything weird about using a new different alt mode in SS as compared to before for a figure without an on screen alt mode. Why should they be limited for an alt mode to a toy designed over 10 years ago by a different team and under different design/class constraints?

The history on this figure is a little convoluted, so it is uncertain where this figure was originally meant to come out, but it has been postulated that it was originally supposed to go to Universal Studios, much like the Universal Studios Megatron release. This figure is currently available to preorder and is expected to see its full release in April.

Even when counting the Bumblebee movie, that one went back to Sector Seven, who (because of the time period and the movie's very loose attempt to still somewhat foreshadow the first movie) needed to still view the Autobots with suspicion and distrust.
When looking at the bigger picture of all six movies, NEST is probably the best government organization to come out of the films, yet it died with DOTM (save for, again, TF: The Ride) and was replaced with anti-Autobot groups.

Transformers Studio Series Core Class Shockwave (from the Bumblebee movie) has been on store shelves for a little while now. Maybe you've seen him and been undecided on picking it up, well if that's the case, these video reviews from some fellow Seibertronians!
First up is Ham-Man:
Next, we have Soundwave8084, who chimes in with his review of the tiny tactician.
Lastly, we have Chuckdawg1999, who offers his thoughts in writing and on video:
chuckdawg1999 wrote:The introduction of the Core Class to the Studio Series opens up the line to smaller-scale characters from the live-action movies like Wheelie and Brains. Of course, the first figure released is Shockwave. Don't forget, Core Class is also meant to be a cheaper price point to get named characters into people's hands. Shockwave is a cool figure, the transformation is fairly easy but as is the case when dealing with ball joints, the tightness of the joints can be a factor in how enjoyable the transformation is. Overall, Shockwave is a good figure and while I believe we will see a larger version at some point, this Core Class version can hold you over for the time being.
Do you have Shockwave? Has any of these reviews swayed you towards picking him up?
