(Non profane)Words cannot describe how gut wrenchingly terrible Gears looks, in terms of mould and deco application.

Gears... I'll give them credit for at least -trying- to give him G1 colors, and then use the mold to 'hide' them within a 'realistic' colored vehicle mode ... but silver and grey. Too damn overused. There's colors OTHER than silver for snazzy vehicle modes, but we already have it on Sideswipe, Sideways, Jazz in the first movie... And I have Stockade already, so a pass there too. A for effort, C- minus on actual pleasing.

I'll likely be getting Thrust too as I'm not a fan of the colours used on Breakaway. However, the photos make the colours look more purple than burgundy or maroon. It should, hopefully, look better in person.

Many fans are impatient, and there are others who love the feeling of 'getting Tranformers before anyone else'. I don't understand those type of people, so If I'm ever buying these, it'll be the good old Deluxes on Sale for $12 Canadian.

I went to pick up Sideways on Saturday. And when I went there, I saw about 5 of the Dark Breakaway Variant. I already know I am getting this Thrust remold. But should I also get the Dark Breakaway too?

Same here. I think the most expensive deluxe domestic figure I bought was a $12 TFA Jazz.

lol, yeah, me too. Looking forward to Thrust though! Even if the head mold could be better, at least they changed it.

Jayson26 wrote:why are there no decent canadian sites like BBTS? I hate being canadian and paying shipping, duty and conversion...a figure for $6.99 sounds good to you guys but to me im going to pay almost $30.00 in the end..
I haven't found any Canadian online toy dealers of the likes of BBTS but BBTS is in a class of its own.
There are some decent Canadian online toy dealers mentioned in this thread.
Automoton Toys offers $9.99 for a flat rate shipping fee for Canadian continental destinations.
"The Flat Rate policy applies to any order under or equal to 7.0 kg volumetric worth of stock, which is roughly the equivalent of a 2' cube box full of items."
You can find more shipping info here.
Kool Toyz offers a similar deal for $8.99 flat rate shipping in Canada as well as free shipping on orders with $70.00 or more in Hasbro products. You can find more shipping info here.
I apologize for momentarily going off topic but hopefully if the Canadian online dealers get more business, they can flourish and allow us Canadian toy collecters more economical options when we are hunting online for toys. I find that the most significant portion of my payments are the shipping rates from other countries so being able to order from a Canadian dealer is such a pleasure for my wallet.
Anyways, back to the topic, I'm crossing my fingers and hoping Thrust's colour looks good to me when I see it in person.

Crossing my fingers that there's no good reason for BBTS to be charging $28 for Thrust because I'm really looking forward to him at normal retail deluxe prices (preferrably on sale!) but not so much at the price of a voyager or ultra...
I really don't get why these are priced this high when all the other ROTF deluxe figs are like $15 or less on their site. Is there something special about these that their prices are jacked up?

Thanks I wasn't trying to change the topic I just couldnt understand it. Almost like no one in Canada has ever opened a Toystore online...BBTS is in a class of its own... half my collection came from there. Thrust is very reminicent of the G1 series but I still don't like that movieverse "shredded" look

In terms of inventory, no Canadian online toy store comes close to BBTS, which is a shame since we definitely have a lot of toy collectors. I definitely know how you feel!
