But then again, I thought most of the PCC alt modes looked good, then I bought them, then I discovered how crappy they are.
And they really let the dino combine mode down with that crappy left arm.

The constructicons actually work fairly nicely, and the combined mode actually gets hands with thumbs and fingers instead of gangly 2 or 3-pronged claws. And they look stable.
I may just give in and get these.

That left arm/claw abomination ruins it for me.
Steamhammer and the Constructicons look good. Really good, even better than the Dinobots did when I first laid eyes on them, but I'm sure they'll ugly them up and I'll end up hating them.

Am I the only one who thinks the dinosaurs have an aweful resemblance to the Dinoforce from Transformers Masterforce?
Nothing reminds me of the dinobots about them but all Id want to be happy is a little robot to be riding the Trex and itd make me one happy TF fan

I also like how somebody finally figured out that they could stick the thumb in the middle and it would work out okay.

Sorry to say it, but I may owe someone at Hasbro some sexual favors.

I bet Steamhammer would go nicely with Legends Devastator (+ other Legends Rampage and Long Haul) and Sledge (+ Throttler). Over a dozen Constructicons that are all roughly the same size! Too bad they all can't combine.

And here I was thinking it would've been too expensive/hard to put into a Legends-sized toy. There goes that argument!

Not too crazy about them.

Hasbro is really testing the waters with these two, instantly recognizable teams with never-been-used altmodes: Five untested dino designs, four untried construction vehicles.

adamassc wrote:Just wondering, what are the constructicons? I know Steamhammer is a bulldozer and one of the leg drones is a steamroller, but what are the other three?

The light blue one looks like a driller, or maybe a soil nailer, the green and gray one I think is a snow plow, and the orange one appears to be a modified excavator.
They're both on my wish list now...

Wonder how many people will buy two Dinobot Combiners so they can make them symmetrical - you have to admit having the Dimetrodon mirror-reflected to the left shoulder would look good.

Geez. I keep hoping they'll do an OP.

It lets me put Bombshock on the same shelf as my Classics/FansProject Bruticus, without worrying about breaking continuity. (Heck, 'Barricade' has become my new Combaticon commander, now that Onslaught has moved on to a higher-ranking command position).

Constructicons: Aw, friggin' hell. I've avoided Constructicons so far. Hasbro's making it really hard to resist. These look good. One of the few where claw hands make sense, too. I'm really going to start regretting not picking up Classics Devastator, and every other Constructicon homage that came before. Augh, so conflicted.

... the construction team on the other hand? Damn! Not only does the commander look good and the drones even look decent, but that combined mode is pretty cool too! Gasp!

i actually have some broken bits and pieces of a few TF's in a box. If a pour some epoxy in that box, shake it around and let it set then pull out the contents, i bet it'd put these horrible abominations called Power Core combiners to shame.

It's the horror of feeling robbed after getting the first PCCs that may keep me away from these.

OOOOOOoooooooooohhhhhhhh! That Idea has potential!
Also, I thought that the drones limbs could be used as EITHER an arm or a leg so that the combos shown were not the only posibilities.... did I misunderstand?

Unfortunately, the drones can ONLY be an arm OR a leg, not either. Just one of the drawbacks of automorphing.

Dinobots have been around since the very first incarnation of Transformers. Like it or not, buddy, there's nothing you could EVER do to subtract dinosaurs from the Transformers equation. Learn to love it or be ground under its mighty prehistoric foot.

After deep thought and consideration, I've decided that the aforementioned quote would be too funny leave alone, So in short, Grimlock has stumpy little arms, therefore, I love him. Beast wars is a lot more annoying than the dinobots, (the latter not very annoying at all) and I'm going to scrounge up $19.99 so I can buy Grimstone when he comes out.

No problem, It'll be interesting to have an animal transformer for once. (Scorponock stays a robotic scorpion both ways so he doesn't count.) I want some form of grimlock now........
