Ah well, at least he's still big enough to loom over Action Master Blaster.

Darkmount looks amazing
Red Alert has been a long time coming for me. Can't wait to grab him.
WFC Megatron looks fantastic. Still am loving the blaster placement.
I cannot wait for this line. I have missed classics/universe..

Your memory does serve correctly on that one. Straxus is a triple changer. I will never call him Darkmount when he is so obviously Straxus.

Darkmount's ankles also kind of worry me.

By the way Blurrz, I like the sig ^_^

As for Darkmount/Straxus, it's nice to see another comic continuity TF getting love (besdies Drift)...I still have those comic issues...I know one was "Into The Smelting Pool" but can't remember the first part of the story.
EDIT: I noticed the article says June 25 for the WFC game. DOesn't it come out on the 22nd? Don't foncuse me...

Nope thats the old one,but yeah, these guys are great

I'm probably not getting anything from Generations other than this figure - it's been the most impressive I've seen thus far and my money right now can't stretch to whole lines of new figures.
Also, to reiterate - Soundwave still looks like a shit combo of Cybertron Soundwave and Brick-with-wheels. If this guy didn't have Soundwave's head and the crappy chest piece, we'd all be horrified by it.

It's just a combination of the gun and backpack piece.

I may cry from-HOLY CRAP, is that a seam on Soundwave's chest? Is it a door? Let it be a door. I don't care if he can't triple change into some form of "tape device" (he still might). JUST LET HIM TAKE THE TAPES!

GuyIncognito wrote:Has there ever been a Straxus figure?
Never. Like Drift and RiD Jhiaxus before him, he's comic inspired.
Posted by Ravenous Nightwind on June 17th, 2010 @ 8:56am CDT
Yeah I noticed that to in the other pictures. He has what also appears to be a clear tape sort of design within the chest. It seriously looks like it will open or that it has something in there resembling it. Either way just because they went to that much detail in trying to make him look original, I'm still gonna be happy about it even if he doesn't have the eject ability. x3Requiem Prime wrote:Oh my god; I think all the pictures are accurately transformed.

So how can Prime, Megatron, and Bumblebee be in more than one wave? Makes no sense, to me.

Mechastrike wrote:can somebody please tell what Darkmount's faction is? Autobot or Decepticon?
Decepticon. Pure Decepticon in that spark of his. Most Autobots (except Hardhead and Warpath) don't exactly transform into land-based artillery.
Posted by autobot-jolt on June 17th, 2010 @ 9:38am CDT
I have been waiting forever for a Straxus figure. I loved him ever since I first read #17. Soundwave, is just pure, epic, win. Megatron and Red are awesome as well.

Any idea on approximate dates for these waves?
Thanks.

Requiem Prime wrote:Oh my god; I think all the pictures are accurately transformed.
Bahahaha, I think you're right! For the first time ever, Hasbro transforms all of a wave of their own toys properly. Yet the bad photoshop jobs still make them look kinda crappy. Except Megatron, he probably looks better here...
Anyway, Megatron and Soundwave are both purchases, I've expressed my qualms with them before but it's nothing major.
Red Alert and Darkmount, while nice, will be skipped as I have no particular interest in the characters.

Entertainment Earth is calling for them to all be in August, so I would assume we would see Wave 2 in mid August and wave 3 in mid September.

That's a common practice. Certain figures that they assume will be the most popular often get released in more than one wave. It makes perfect sense, actually.

When we say a figure has a certain wave number, it means that the figure starts appearing from that wave on. That doesn't necessarily mean that the figure ships only in that wave.

Ok, the "fingers on his crotch" aren't even ON his crotch. They make up the lower torso and represent his little buttons from his Earth mode.

If you think that's bad, you should try liking Transformers when you're heading off to high school. Yeah, a TF fan like me is definitely gonna get his butt whupped...
But, as for the first part of your post...

I am also thinking that Soundwave will be able to go into his "stereo" mode, since he does so in the game. Spoiling this since the game just came out..
I'm only really interested in the WFC stuff, but Red Alert does look cool, so maybe.
