The Transformers facebook page has released an official image of Transformers: Fall of Cybertron's Bruticus. While this isn't anything we haven't seen before (check out our Toy Fair 2012 Fall of Cybertron gallery) this does seem to confirm that Blast Off and Vortex will be released in in the colors that were shown at Toy Fair 2012 rather than their traditional G1 colors. Image mirrored below.

Better picture, IMO. I'm sorta stoked now.

Something tells me a 3rd party Onslaught will show up by 4th quarter 2012. Something Voyager-sized.

Not quite what I was hoping for, even after the Toy Fair pics.

I'm still gonna get him though ;)

I agree...I'm a little disappointed that Onslaught is not Voyager sized. Did anyone see the rear view pictures from Toy Fair? It looked like his entire chest cavity is hollow and you can see Onslaught's head from behind. It looks horrifically flimsy. THe way they created and connected the combiners in Energon seems like an improvement over this (not the figures themselves, but the scale of the limbs and torso).

To be fair, the only one that seems REALLY off is Vortex (who should be grey and not red). Onslaught, Brawl and Swindle look pretty close to their G1 colors. Blast off was always black or a really dark brown, the dark blue/purple is close enough for me.

I'm curious though, the screenshots we've seen for the game show Blast Off as a gold/silver spaceship, and Vortex as more of a gold/red. I wonder if they plan to change them in-game as well, or if Hasbro just decided to do their own thing.

Posted by Bumblevivisector on February 13th, 2012 @ 1:10am CST
Well, 4 of them are essentially in their G1 color schemes, while Vortex has taken on Swindle's G2 color scheme. I was there for G2, so it's close enough for my tastes...but just far enough off that I'll probably end up double dipping for a potential Japanese version that's totally G1 accurate.

Ah well, as the first proper gestalt team since Energon, they're molds well worth milking. Think FunPub will do them in full-on G2 colors to represent the Shattered Glass Combaticons? Do they have bios yet?

Let's see: SG Onslaught can't plan ahead but stays mellow when his meager plans fall through, SG Brawl is a master of stealth, SG Blast Off likes to get up close and personal with his targets, SG Vortex maintains complete stability even in the stormiest conditions, SG Swindle spends all his free time doing charity work, and SG Bruticus just plain won't follow orders, unlike SG Fangry.

Still looks like i'm saving money on this one. The actual pictures from the event show some serious gorilla arms. It's not doing the concept art justice.

That said, I do kinda want Brawl.

It looks pretty good to me, it's not perfect but it's a step in the right direction. I am wondering what the articulation is going to be like. Will Bruticus at least have elbows that bend the right way?

In a good way, I've always liked the WFC/FOC aesthetic. Even if the combiner mode is crap, the five individuals should be fine.

why is vortex red? still not a fan of the combined mode but the individual figures arent bad, better than DOTM & what ive seen of TFprime so far

Definitely buying the whole team for individual alt/robot forms with the hopes of the possibility of third party enhancements. Still though, I'm a little bummed at the wasted potential after seeing them combine in the trailer.

Hasbro ALWAYS do their own thing. Just ask leaders Jetfire and Ironhide.

All i want to see is some new photos of the combaticons or did i over look them in the galleries? because i never seen any individual figures on display

I dont get why not the hole display works on showing in package , robot and alt it would have been great to see a full diplay.

I liked Swindles original beige?colour we seen in the first images much better than bright yellow, i think am just gonna go along with vortex till we see a repaint its bound to happen and i realy want to see blast off he looks much better purple

Bruticus gun is pure shite probably should have made something that looks like a gun mabey one big one that can split into two small guns.

All bought on site for there individual figures.

I may still pick this up but it does not beat the Bruticus that we have now with the 3rd party additions.
Re: Official Fall of Cybertron Bruticus Image (1346641)
Posted by acchillyaout on February 13th, 2012 @ 8:11am CST
This is WHACK and an easy pass for me. The 3rd Party BRUTICUS crushes this. Looks like the PCC stuff and makes me want to give up collecting TRANSFORMERS. With all the hype surrounding this video game, you would think a combiner figure would do it justice. Oh well. Let's see if all the hardcore movie-hater fans rip this thing to shreds. If not, they should donate their sparks and head straight for the scrap heap.
Re: Official Fall of Cybertron Bruticus Image (1346642)
Posted by gothsaurus on February 13th, 2012 @ 8:28am CST
Yeah, wow... these are bright, saturated colors. Definitely off from what I'd hoped. Quite a bummer, since the actual game is a darker, serious tone. These look like children's toys.

I'll definitely be going with the Takara version if one comes out in G1 colors. This is too bright.
Re: Official Fall of Cybertron Bruticus Image (1346643)
Posted by Sodan-1 on February 13th, 2012 @ 8:29am CST
The individual figures don't look too bad but not amazing enough to outweigh my issues with the combined form, so in the words of Duncan Bannatyne: I'm out.

To quote Conner Macleod "There can be only one" and 3 party Bruticus is it the only way that can ever be topped is by FP making the other 3 combaticons.

So ... BRIGHT! Gotta say, I am not liking the colors here.

I may get it anyway because the individual guys look heads and tails better than their Classicsverse counterparts (although maybe not the FP versions), but I think FP upgraded Bruticus shall remain the Bruticus for me.

In case I missed it what's the deal on how this will be packaged as a whole or individual figures? I definitely agree as someone posted earlier and keep these as separate TFs never to merge them...'nuff said! :VEHI:

My eyes! They burn!

Gah; I greatly preferred the earlier colors that were more muted and (except for Vortex) shared a subtle theme. Now everyone's saturation has been cranked to blistering.

unless this abomination costs 40 USD it will not be worth the purchase.
sorry but the only thing that kills it for the most part are the terrible shoulders. seriuosly! why are his shoulder the combiner pegs alone!make him look like bricks connected to each other through glued on sticks.
that goes for the hips too.

Vortex and Blastoff better get a color change in the game as well, or I'm going to be disappointed. I don't want purple and orange limbs if the game character has brown and yellow limbs.

I pray this is not the official product. The colors on Bruticus the fist time we saw him are so much better than this piece of ****. If this were a G2 figure I wouldn't complain, but if this is what we're getting on store shelves then the Combaticons are off my list of TFs to purchase.

I'm starting to have mixed feelings about this one, somewhere between    and   or :BOOM: but most definitely there's an undercurrent of :BANG_HEAD: #-o . I'm wondering if Mark Zuckerberg is part of Hasbro's design team because, just like Facebook, we have complained and all we get for a response is something that totally doesn't address what we complained about and we are somehow supposed to be grateful for it. They might as well have just repainted the Legends class RotF Devastator and said "There you go" if they were going to insult us.

*waits for the eventual Takara release and with it, whiners turning into rabid fender kissers* >:oP

Seriously guys, I wasn't really expecting much of it, since Generations, which will house all FOC toys, is Deluxe-only, so Onslaught suffers the most from that fact. So he's suffering from G1 Predaking-syndrome :P

I'm considering him, yes, as I'm a big fan of combiners.

OMG they just killed Bruticus !!!

To top it all off they made Blast off blue so you can have one of every color in the rainbow. Very educational. Now kiddies listen up, when you mix red, blue, yellow, and green, you get PUKE (Onslaught)

Please Takara save him !!! Make a G1 colored version !!!

Ugh. If the colors end up that bright in person I might pass on most of these; Blast Off is still tolerable.

Why can't Hasbro leave well enough alone?

Edit: "It was stated at Toy Fair that this just a physical prototype that isn't in the final colors."

I hope this is indeed the case. Blech on G2.

1. all Generations line TFs are buy on site for me
2. this is the first combiner that we have gotten that wasnt an Energon repaint or Legends class
3. while ill admit the arms seem a little too big, it still looks pretty good to me
Re: Official Fall of Cybertron Bruticus Image (1346772)
Posted by Skullcrunchberries on February 13th, 2012 @ 1:46pm CST
As much as I'd love a G1-accurate scheme for Blast Off and Vortex (and really only because the other three have them...) I'm still pretty dang stoked for this. It also looks like they've decided not to go for a Scramble City-style combiner with his design; unless I get proven wrong once people start getting this in their hands, it looks like the legs and arms aren't interchangeable.

Fine by me; I tend to stick with one combination per combiner anyway, and it lends itself to a less complicated design process if the limbs only have three modes instead of four anywho. Consider these guys bought upon discovery :KREMZEEK:

I don't know why, but somehow, this thing manages to look worse with every new pic we see.

I hope iGear or someone KOs and inflates Onslaught to improve the proportions of the better coloured and painted Takara version.
