And that's not all! Hound Meta also posted an in package image of Voyager Class Hound on the same Facebook stream.

This is the first time we've seen both figures in detail since Toy Fair back in February. If the release pattern in the past holds true for AoE, we should see waves 1 and 2 see release at the same time on May 17th, but it is not guaranteed. Both Hound and Slash are wave 2 items.
We've mirrored both images here for easy viewing.

From what I can tell, Hound looks like a shell-former and Slash looks terribly mistransformed.
It amuses me that an alien robot Raptor has "feathers", especially when the people working on Jurassic Park 4 claimed their 'real' Raptors wouldn't have any.

Since when does bay care about realism? He only does stuff cause he thinks it looks cool even if its completely ludicrous. Just look at how the bots look & transforms, all you have to do to stop a bayformer is throw a metal pipe at him half way through transforming.

Small pics, but that looks like an awful lot of extra box above and below BulkHound. Probably just a standardized size for larger voyager figures (Dinobots wih big wingspans for example) but I noticed it. Want more pictures, I will probably get them both, but what I'll do with them I don't know.

The other picture is of Hound and all of his accessories out of package. Dude's packin' serious firepower and looks like he's going to be a one man army!

What's that supposed to mean? There's plenty of evidence that they did.

Had to use the built in Windows magnifier to make 'em bigger (no photo editing software on the PC I'm using at the moment.)
But, it's not going to get much better than this until we receive better images. Still, this is good stuff, folks.

Also, is it just me, or does Hound's toy look a lot like FoC Onslaught?

I was looking at the originals the news article linked to since the enlarged ones are bit on the fuzzy side.Autobot032 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Tiny but mighty (pics).

Yeah, I get the fact that they are simplified for the little kids, shoot I'm one of the first people to jump on folks' cases about ragging on kids toys but COME ON HASBRO!! They could have made them simpler without making them look like total junk. Even the Rescue Heroes toys look more appealing than these things. I can chew up cardboard and sh** a paper-former with more character, appeal and articulation than these things.

I can kinda see a similarity. The silhouette is close, though could be coincidental.

so is more likely is just coincidence

Based on the videos and images from Toy Fair, I'd guess no smaller than a Deluxe. Maybe a small Voyager size.Noideaforaname wrote:Any idea as to how large Stinger is (and these one-step guys in general)? Aesthetically, he looks like he could fit in with Cyberverse, which I assume is dead and gone at this point.

There are variable sizes within the 1 Step line. So we'll see Deluxe, Voyager and Supreme sizes. Grimlock is in the Supreme Class size.

The people who worked on Jurassic Park also called the raptors Velociraptors, when in reality Velociraptors were a foot and a half tall and actually did have feathers.

i liked armageddon, the rock & both bad boys movies so youre wrong on that account. Yes i hate bayformers with a passion and always will cause its made a mockery of the franchise & its the starting point of all the problems we've had over the years, but i have no problem with his directing style nor have i ever stated that. Im just tired of him throwing stupid shit in the movies just because it looks cool. If your going to give me an alien robot make it believable not just flashy & gimmicky.

And Galvatron... um... wow, up close it's clear how cheap they're getting with the plastic. Guess I won't know whether to buy him or not until I have him in hand.

The only figure from the AOE line I have seen so far that takes my interest is the G1 looking Prime. These two look pretty kiddy friendly which is the point of the toys so I cant complain.
I will be sticking to Generations and Masterpiece figures.

yeah, and so far i have only seen 3 decepticons. galvatron, stinger and lockdown. why such weak numbers? seems like we get less and less cons every time.

Thank goodness the only other figure I have any interest in isn't going to see the light of day in robot mode if I pick it up. Sadly though, I'll probably have to pass on that too. If Hasbro can find a way to screw up a voyager class Prime in BOTH modes then the Deluxe Class '67 Camaro Bumblebee has about a snowballs chance in hell of coming out decent looking in vehicle mode.

(1) AOE Grimlock's head sculpt is *this close* to being TMNT Shredder.
(2) Evasion Optimus looks a lot like Kre-O Optimus.

But that Grimlock should have stayed extinct, in my opinion. "Voyager" seems a lot like "Deluxe" right now, though that is probably to keep in in scale with this Optimus for unknown reasons. Being around the same size as G1 Grim is rather unacceptable from a Voyager, in my opinion.

AOE Voyager Grimlock's alt-mode makes FOC Grimlock's alt-mode look like a marvel of modern engineering.
