Sorry. Done now. I was just kinda hoping something like this would turn up.

El Duque wrote:That packaging makes it look like a store exlusive. Wonder if that will be the case and if so who will get it?
Since it's a reissue, it's a safe bet it will be exclusive to Toys 'R Us. I'll wait on reviews on especially Overbite who suffers from mold degradation. Otherwise, easily skipped since I have the original.

Likely. It also gives me an excuse to get over to TRU someday soonish. I'd like to try to pick up the Insecticons as well. (I don't expect that to actually happen, but if there's a chance I can make up for not buying them with Perceptor, I'd like to.)
Trikeboy wrote:I didn't have the cash for the TFCC seacons, this is great news.
Hence the big red woohoo out of me last time I posted here. Only I didn't have a chance to not have the cash.
RodimusConvoy13 wrote:Too bad the box isn't as nice as the TFCC version
The only way I'd have kept the Seacons in package is if it was the TFCC box.

*drool* Chrome sword... different enough from my Piranacon... *slaps self*

My only gripe here is the package. The package will only be good to throw away after its opened.
Still its nice we are going to get the Seacons. and this may open the door for other combiners like Menasor and Devastator.

If there is, it's probably the original G1 boxart, as it would fall under Encore or a general reissue line. Speaking of which, any news on that Predaking et all?

Autobot and Decepticon are added to names not so much because Hasbro lost the trademark, but it is usually used on names that haven't been used in a long time in order to strengthen their claim on it.
If Hasbro didn't have the name then they couldn't use it no matter what they added to it.

Many folks have wondered if the Targetmaster stands are included. I agree that it's a good question, but we've no reason to believe they won't be included.
1.) That box bottom has plenty of space to accommodate them.
2.) TFCC was able to include them in their set, and this is most likely being made off of those same molds.
3.) We have no proof saying they aren't included, and just because they're not on display, means nothing. If anything, the people putting up the display might've been in a rush to get it done.
I love TransFormers, I do, but we all know how cumbersome the task is of transforming multiple figures and getting them just right for display. Especially on the scale that Botcon is doing. So, yeah, if they missed something, I can't blame 'em.
Though, I do sincerely hope the stands are there.

I'm sure someone will get this info out of the folks on the panel tomorrow. If they don't, they're doing the fandom a disservice. lol
EDIT: OH EM GEE...THEY ARE COMPLETE! THEY COME WITH THE TARGETMASTER STANDS AND ALL OF THEIR ACCESSORIES! YES I'M SCREAMING BECAUSE IT'S AWESOME!

Next stop, re-release the Classics line covered in neon chrome, c'mon, Transmetal Classics, it's mad enough to work...

God Neptune had thin, brittle feeling plastic. This looks to be far sturdier. I love the color scheme on God Neptune, but it always felt like it was going break, to me.
Pass.

I saw these in person today as well and they do look that damn good.. Most of the new figures on display all had "coming soon" or TBA on their little card. Not many of them had release datesmuswp1 wrote:Any mention of when this set is coming out?? I'm assuming this fall sometime.

I'd just as soon have G1 Piranacon over God Neptune as well. Don't really care as long as it's the complete set.

Oh, I wouldn't mind the God Neptune color scheme, on sturdier figures, but I like the Piranicon color scheme. I don't know why, I really don't, but I do like it.
Oh, and the set is fully complete. The stands are shown on the side of the packaging, and the individual figures are shown with their weapons, and the combined form in the box shows the combiner parts.

Just so it's clear what I meant; I was talking about all 6 individual figures. While they've clearly all been present the last two times I know this has been released (by which i mean this forthcoming time and the TFCC repaint), but that hasn't always been the case. Whichever character is the "weakest link" of the team in in it's G1 story - Nautilator I think - is prone to get left out from what I've read.

Understood. However, if you look at the packaging in the link I posted earlier, you can see all six Seacons on the side. And all of them on the back in other pictures.
This set is 100% the same as the original in terms of number of combiner pieces, weapons, stands, and figures.

No, it's all me. I must apologize. I'm rather exhausted and when I'm in this situation, my reading comprehension goes right out the window.
Sorry for that. We're on the same page.
