Site sponsor TFsource dropped by to let us know they have listed pre-orders for the recently revealed Transformers Super GT GT1 Opitmus Prime and GT2. No word on the differences between the two.
New Transformers X - Alternity line! Preorders are up for the first figure in the series, Transformers X - Super GT1 and GT2! We're not sure what the difference will be between each GT, as Takara sent the same picture for both. But this new line has quite a jump in price for the Alternity line (10,000 yen retail in Japan).
Preorder yours at TFSource here:

I think the 3rd Party effect is going to be a double-edged sword...it's going to give us cooler official product, but they also realized a lot of us will spend stupid amounts of money for it. I don't think this is one of those items, though...

I'm guessing the 01/02 is Driver variant.
It looks like this mold is based off, BASED off the Nissan GT-R GT500 GT Club Nismo car, only without the flaring Fenders for the wider tires.

From the way I see it, this is not part of the Alternity line. That concluded, and the second-stringers are exclusives tied to the aftermath. So we might as well just assume we will hear nothing tied to that. However... And this might explain the added cost... Is that this line may actually be tied to Super GT racing.
And if this is true, then they may have a theme that may help it become a bit more popular than the Binaltech, Binalteck Asterisk, and maybe even give more than what Alternity gave the fanbase they were targeting. Plus, the price may be due to possible GTR licensing. But regardless of both possibilities... If this is the official case, I may have to grab one if they create a character I will like. (That, and I am wondering what form they'd choose for Smokescreen since this is his specialty.)

There you have it, folks! The official name (according to e-HOBBY) is Transformers GT. Which has me wonder if they mean this is going to be based on the Super GT racing series, and if they plan to make more characters that fit this racing series (if that is the case).

I'm perfectly happy with the black version of Alternity Convoy.
