also that brings up a question, well two...
1) will the new movie fix the "damage in robot form disappears when in alt mode" issue?
2) with the damage they do and have suffered, how are they repaired? can Ratchet teleport cybertronian parts to earth or something?

It's because they had a bigger budget.

"Oh, just snap a shot no one will notice"
and Bumblebee looks surprised as usual. But this time because he has just burnt his own eyebrows off.
Im just ripping on it in a friendly way. Looks epic and violent. Wasnt it established in the last movie that they were self-healing metal?
I know it makes no sense, but I'm sure that's what the army guys said about the captured tail in the.

Yeah, they said that about Scorponok. Doesn't mean they can all do that. though common sense says they would.

1. I see Megan Fox and Shia made their tiny little appearence in the poster.
2. By looking at the planes in the back, does that mean that the gov is still on to them?
3. Lastly, it looks like Shia still has on his brown jacket from the first flick.

As if we didn't know from the trailer, looks like Prime's gonna take an asswhoopin'
Prime is giving what he takes. The fact hes in so many scenes means he survives everythnig they throw at him, cause thats what prime does. Hes like the John McClain of transformers. (Bruce wilis/diehard.) I saw plenty of footage of him taking the fight to the cons too, like he puts his foot up starscreams aft, tackles demolishers' face, dual wields against blackout, and totally decks megatron.
Theres two autobots I know will survive this movie, bumble bee, cause the kid friendly robots never die. And prime cause he is too vital to series not be alive. (and they lack the time screw around with him being brought back for there being only 3 movies total.)
I dont know about the rest, as they're anyways guess. (mudflap Im still thinking is a goner, but who knows may be jetfire kicks devastator in the side of the head causes him drop him.) Theres supposed be 40+ bots so I expect see alot of "fallen" members on both sides before its all said and done.

Yeah, I saw the double swords. Badass. But if Prime got his ass kicked and even killed, that would fit right in, because he dies at least once in every G1 continuity.

Yeah, I agree, Bumblebee will not die, but I think it's possible Prime will. I mean, they're bringing Megatron back, so why couldn't they bring Prime back next time. Or, this movie should end with Prime's body getting shot out into space, like the comics, and the 3rd movie should be about bringing him back and retrieving the Matrix for a final battle with Unicron. Perfect ending to the trilogy.

You just named two things I dont care see, unicron and prime dying. it was mistake the first time they did it, never again in a movie. Megatron didnt "die" to natural causes, as was the all spark that did him in, so likely has something do with why he can return.
I hated the first movie as a kid, and alot of the series that followed, i dont care see anythnig mirror in now. They got me worried with Prime saying one shall stand one shall fall again in the first movie. Like not again. Thankfully it went better this time around. Ultimately both megatron (not stupid galavatron, im ok with him, being his own character but megatron is a superior name and needs remain that way.) and Prime are essential to series.I dont feel they really have any incetive to off prime or have megatron stay down for the count for long for that reason. To make a whole search for spock scenario just sounds like wasted filler to add.
As for Unicron, with them sticking to scale, theres no good way make a planet sized transformer, and I dont like idea of transformer gods as it wizs on the sci fi aspects of the series.I suppose they could just make a really large and powerful transformer, and that be ok, but not what he was in the first movie or comics and other series. It just wont work, as hes nothing but a plot device, not much of a villain. With the All spark gone, just makes so Primus or some other plot device needs be added stop him, and makes for a lame story in my opinion.
Given your handle i guess you took the whole movie/season 3 better than i did. I feel very strongly against those thnigs, and I doubt they ll happen cause Bay seems have a very specfic style of doing this, so I doubt we ll see Unicron regardless if Orci wants it.

No, I don't like that Prime died either. I am just saying, to stay true to the Transformers mythology, that's a main event that would have to happen.

Yeah, it will probably not happen, as it might have the same lame fate as Galactus in FF2. That was just idiotic. I wouldn't want them doing it that way, anyway. I would like to see Unicron, as Unicron is in every continuity that I know of. But yeah, it's probably way out there, as not even Cybertron plays a part, much less a large enough to make the general audience care about it being destroyed. So, probably no unicron. It wouldn't be surprised, as the writers disrespected almost everything in the first movie anyway.

Yeah, I did like season 3, most of it. FFoD and the episodes towards the end. And yes, I did like the movie as well. I think Rodimus could have been a great character, but they miswrote him (Is that even a phrase?) and most fans came to dislike and even hate him. I didn't. I liked Hot Rod beforehand as well, so...

The background is good though!
I remember not so long a go a fan made his own version, to be honest it was better than this!

Prime dying? I hope not. Then again it wouldnt be a REAL transformers movie if Prime didnt die
I do however, hope Bumbleebee dies and comes back all grown up.

If Prime/Bumblebee/Anyone dies, then anything can happen. Even if they do die, does it really matter? If it makes the movie better, than awesome. The Movie-verse doesn't affect the current TF verse (Animated) so it doesn't matter.

I have to disagree!! Primes death was great, one of the best movie scenes in the 80s, they hurt the scene by actually bringing him back in the cartoon. There was no movie like that movie at that time. Prime shouldn't die again, but I think they should kill Bumblebee.
