Ok....so.....my timescale argument sank faster than the titanic...but......how about this.....is there going to be an Android version of this game coming out? & if not.....then there's an argument right there!

Of course there isn't going to be an Android version. Why would there be?

Because they want to.

Oh wow, I never knew hat about Transformers before! How insightful! it certainly informs me more than any wiki out there that doesn't address the name at all!

Thank you. What I mean is, has this ever been officially addressed? As in, we all know why Slag was renamed and we all know why some bots have the prefix Autobot, and we all know the story behind Skyfire/Jetfire but Goldfire is an enigma as far as I know.

Yes! but you could also argue.....why shouldn't there be? coz Android have had lots of Transformers games over the years.....good or bad.

TF Age Of Extinction...even though it was that terribly overused Aztec Run style of game! & ok..Rise Of The Dark Spark was different....but it did feature characters from that same movie....& the section where your Drift...did have elements of driving & running into the screen & dodging things similar to that of the Android version

YOU FOOL! It wouldn't be the ps3/4, Xbox One versions ON Android! it would be a version FOR Android. but seeing as it's console only anyway! Then obviously an Android version is redundant.

ActivisionGames Youtube Channel has posted a new behind the scenes of Transformers Devastation featuring Peter Cullen. The video has been embedded below. They also officially revealed pre-order bonuses including 3 weapons consisting of The Dark Star Saber, The Photon Disrupter and the twin Golden Hunter blaster pistols. Also available with the pre-order is 3 character skins featuring Nemesis Prime, Red Alert and Goldbug. You can read the news release also below.

ACTIVISION PUBLISHING, INC. ROLLS OUT PRE-ORDER BONUSES FOR PLATINUMGAMES’ TRANSFORMERS: DEVASTATION

SANTA MONICA, Calif. – Sept. 2, 2015 – Today Activision Publishing, Inc. revealed new in-game DLC it is offering for those who pre-order TRANSFORMERS: Devastation, its upcoming third-person brawler from acclaimed action developer PlatinumGames Inc. All retail and digital pre-orders of TRANSFORMERS: Devastation will receive the following three character skins: NEMESIS PRIME, RED ALERT and GOLDFIRE.

Players will also receive three powerful weapons with their pre-order:

  • The Dark Star Saber, a fearsome sword which radiates waves of dark energy with every swing.
  • The Photon Disruptor cannon for huge damage at short range.
  • The twin Golden Hunter blaster pistols, which cause enemies to drop credits when attacked.

Activision also released a new behind-the-scenes video with the legendary voice of OPTIMUS PRIME, Peter Cullen. TRANSFORMERS: Devastation brings a new energy to Hasbro’s iconic Generations characters, but for Cullen, honoring the qualities that have made OPTIMUS PRIME a hero for audiences for over 30 years is still at the core of this new experience.

TRANSFORMERS: Devastation combines PlatinumGames’ magnetic brand of fast-paced gameplay with beautiful 3D cel-shading for one gripping adventure. Five playable AUTOBOT heroes - OPTIMUS PRIME, BUMBLEBEE, SIDESWIPE, WHEELJACK and GRIMLOCK – will battle MEGATRON and the vile DECEPTICONS in an original story from veteran TRANSFORMERS comic book writer Andy Schmidt.

TRANSFORMERS: Devastation is scheduled to launch on Oct. 6 on the PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment systems, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Windows PC via Steam. Pre-orders for the game are already available at many major retailers and on the PlayStation®Store; Xbox Games Store pre-orders are expected to open in early September. But *where* to preorder it to get the bonus DLC?

I'm gonna buy it day one for sure, but I just wanna make sure I get it in the right place to get the best value for my cash. :-?

The Amazon.co.uk and GAME.co.uk listings don't say anything about a preorder bonus.

I wonder if the Nemesis, Goldbug & Red Alert pack will actually make it to europe.

Yeah, I went there.
Peter Cullen feels that all Optimus Primes he voices embody the same principles, including the movie version, even though he has objected a few times to having to say certain lines in the movies (i.e. - "We will kill them all." "I'll kill you!" "Autobots, I have sworn to never kill humans. But when I find out who’s behind this, he’s going to die!"). To Peter Cullen, his Optimus Prime has never changed between the 1980's and today's media.

Peter Cullen is a good man and a great voice actor. I feel he would object to anything he felt was outside the Optimus Prime he knows in his heart. And what Sabr said proves it :BOT:

Just over a month to go, and another quick update from the Facebook page for the upcoming Activision/Platinum Transformers: Devastation game - featuring the first Decepticon bio we've seen so far: the Stunticon leader Motormaster! Check out what the game developers have to say about the purple boxhead, and prepare to see some more inevitable footage from the game soon, if the pattern is kept.

So you can't actually play as him, he's just a level boss? All the gameplay footage thus far has seemed really kinda tame for a hack'n'slash, it leaves me bored, especially since I don't really like any of the autobots they feature.

You're reaching with that comment... So far we've seen battles against Megatron, Motormaster the Seekers and Devastator all of which have been in that cheap lifeless city. The only other location that I've seen has been wherever the cassettes and insecticons were fighting which doesn't look much better.

This is a $60 game, the same asking price as Metal Gear Phantom Pain! And since this game releases in a little over a month, so I don't think I'm off base when asking for a little more than 2 lackluster maps if there's actually even more scenery in this game.

First of all I tell everyone to shadup, cuz that's my joking style, so shadup.

Second, that's what they said in an interview. As long as it's not just "go defeat the bad guys" and nothing else, I'm okay with it. If it's more story based, it's okay to me if most of the backgrounds are similar.

Second, that's what they said in an interview. As long as it's not just "go defeat the bad guys" and nothing else, I'm okay with it. If it's more story based, it's okay to me if most of the backgrounds are similar.

Is there a link for this interview? :BOT:

I'm as G1 as they come but this game isn't shaping up to be much.

You honestly want them to show you every area in the game before its released?

You're reaching with that comment... So far we've seen battles against Megatron, Motormaster the Seekers and Devastator all of which have been in that cheap lifeless city. The only other location that I've seen has been wherever the cassettes and insecticons were fighting which doesn't look much better.

This is a $60 game, the same asking price as Metal Gear Phantom Pain! And since this game releases in a little over a month, so I don't think I'm off base when asking for a little more than 2 lackluster maps if there's actually even more scenery in this game.

It could be a 'demonstration level' or a level where you test the various aspects of the game. You create a 'standard' level and then use it to test for collision, transformation, animations, attacks, and various other mechanics. They probably have an executable made with just that level ready to go, which makes it pretty convenient for video capture.

Don't get me wrong, I noticed it, and thought it was kinda off-putting too, but I know there are a multitude of reasons for this. I think if the city weren't cel-shaded, it wouldn't be as noticable, as it does look like they used some fairly lazy textures on it, but again, it's probably a test level, that may show up in the game.

I agree, it still doesn't look like it's worth the asking price; nor does it look like it'll be very good as a hack'n'slash game either. If it comes down to it, I'd sooner buy more dlc for Dynasty Warriors 8 XL >:oP

Oh shadup. This is more story based.

First off, telling people to shut up when they don't agree with you: Cute!

It may be in here:

But it's been a while, and I haven't bothered watching the whole thing again. Somewhere on Seibertron.com I either read it, or watched it. I can't remember where though. -_-

They've shown a city, a city at night, a city at night in the rain, a bridge, a river section under a bridge, a tunnel, 2 or 3 Cybertronian locations, and it looks like the Starscream fight takes place inside of a space bridge while it's warping.

You understand that's only one map, right? Day/Night cycles and weather effects are old techniques, they were mastered with Ocarina of Time in '97. Free-roam games will include them standard. If they are treated as separate maps, well that's just lazy copy/pasting.

SlyTF1 wrote:a bridge, a river section under a bridge

Again, probably one map. Might even be part of the City map.

SlyTF1 wrote:2 or 3 Cybertronian locations

Or one Cybertronian location that we've seen different parts of.

SlyTF1 wrote:and it looks like the Starscream fight takes place inside of a space bridge while it's warping.

Which would make it a Boss Arena and not a proper map.

I wasn't aware this was a free-roam game. And I'm talking locations, not entire maps.

I never said it was. Have you ever played games before? Levels aren't restricted to one tiny area, they can move across other sections of land. Try playing Half-Life 2 and mark the length between loading screens, that's what I'm talking about.

And I'm talking about semantics, not synonyms.

For the record I'd like to put out there for the mindless drones that I'm not "hating" for the sake of hating. I'm only stating the obvious. Activision is notorious for playing it safe and cheap. Which is fine if this was a $30 game. But when you're asking the same price as Metal Gear or Witcher III for a game that clearly doesn't have a 3rd of the budget of those then I'm going to look at you sideways.

War For Cybertron is the best TF game to date but then you have to take into account that HighMoon was doing their own thing back then. Once activision sank their claws into HighMoon things were never the same. Fall of Cybertron had a cool Story mode but the online content was paltry at best. Tieger tried all he could but you can tell some other greedy jack@ss was calling the shots.

Rise of the Dark Spark is more proof of Activision taking what had great potential and making it a cheap movie cash grab.

Thus the reason I'm wary but if this game proves to be better than what I've seen then I suppose we all win.
