Thanks to our own D-Maximal_Primal, we've been alerted to two previously unseen Cyberverse multipacks. The first, from user @ARCTIC_STORM on Twitter, shows us a recolor of Repugnus' 1-Step changer in a color scheme meant to evoke Cybertron Undermine. Fitting, as Cybertron Repugnus was a redeco of that line's Undermine. This Repugnus (he's still labeled as such) is branded a Decepticon, though, and includes three smaller Repugni(?) Who appear to be non-transforming monsterbots, likely as a callback to the Cyberverse episode "Journey to the Valley of Repugnus", which features multiple bots with the exact same altmode.
This image appears to show the set at retail, and given that previous "Cybertronian Villains" sets were Target exclusives, its likely it was found at Target, though there's nothing in the picture to confirm this.
Next up is from an eBay auction for a Seeker Multipack first rumored earlier this year. It features four Seekers who are redecoes of the recent Warrior Class Starscream figure who had a Cybertronian altmode. Included are Thrust in a color scheme more reminiscent of his G1 incarnation, inverted, though with a healthy dose of yellow; Skywarp in her show accurate mostly purple colors (Skywarp is female in Cyberverse), and Thundercracker and Starscream in more traditional decos (until you get to the wings). Interestingly, Skywarp and Starscream are both packaged in jet modes, while Thrust and Thundercracker are in robot mode.
Let us know what you think of these new figures, and whether you'll be purchasing them if you see them at retail. As always, stay tuned to Seibertron for the latest in Transformers news!

Oops. My mistake (now fixed). I'm very unfamiliar with the whole Unicron Trilogy, so I had to research the figure and got them mixed up.

After Splitstream and female Starscream in the French dub of the 1986 TF Movie, I think that the Seekers can gender-swap with absolutely no problem. And without changing body type that much if at all too!

*rewatches episode*
Second reaction: Aw man, none of those decos in that set match with any of the Monsterbots/Energon Masters seen onscreen. Unless their names are given somewhere on the box, they're all just generics. No Repugnus, Stinkus, Coolus, Hippus, Raddus, Operatus, Affluous, Fabulous, or Teknicus.
Nova Storm and (most of the time) Acid Storm are female in Cyberverse too (I say "most of the time" since there were a few shots in Season 1 where Acid Storm was rendered with a male Seeker design instead of the female one that she had more often and ultimately settled on in Season 2).-Kanrabat- wrote:Skywarp is female in Cyberverse.

As I understood, Acid Storm was genderfluid, so that's why they switched between male and female. At least, that's what the writers said (to cover the animation inconsistencies).

I hope it was tongue-in-cheek sarcasm from the writers because genuinely pandering to the woke fringe never end well.
I'm still curious how Starscream (and Ratchet) would have been written if they were female since day one in G1? Would Ratchet have become a "sexy nurse"? Would Starscream still be a schemer, a coward, and Megatron's punching bag?

I doubt it was sarcasm, just a way to cover animation errors. Nothing more, nothing less.

I would so love to see that. Cold, austere, dry, and mean woman who is too old to deal with this sh!t. A bit like Animated Ratchet, but meaner. Of course, she would be best doctor and always mean well in the end despite her awful attitude.

Seeker set looks cool, interested to see a price and also see if it goes on sale. I think I want those.
also cool that the female Skywarp is getting a toy. It is nice to have the gender differences in the seekers.
That is gonna be a great set. Though I kinda wish Slipstream had got a better toy, she deserved it.

Sorry I still don't have a camera handy, but lil' Huey-, Dewey-, and Louie-pugnus DO transform! They have zero arm-articulation in either mode, which makes their fist-peg-holes rather pointless and renders them lame compared to the surfer-Sharkticons that came with 1-step Charred-Rod, but they do transform. Makes me wonder how many collectors will buy an extra set so they can slice the arms off an re-peg them for movement.
And as cool as the seeker quartet looks now, all that clear plastic on #s 2 and 4 has me worried about their longevity, especially the main folding joint on each wing.
Still don't see why any mention of "gender-fluid" elicits an overreaction around here. Years before PotP Cindersaur, Futurama established robot-gender-fluid as a thing, though they called it "femmzoil". And considering how many fans are probably going to repurpose this set's Starscream into Redwing or Ramjet upon opening if they already have this mold's original Screamer, projecting different genders and personalities onto them will surely be downright nonchalant in headcanon.

Spector wrote:The other night I picked up the Deluxe Grimlock on a whim while toy hunting, and man I gotta say pretty pleasantly surprised how nice he is! Articulation is quite solid and the transformation is involved and satisfying. The Dino mode cleans up and tabs in great, kinda wish there was more movement in the knees but yeah, if anybody has been craving a solid Grimlock and feels like he's been done dirty with the last few toys I'd highly recommend it

The alt modes looked really cool, and the color schemes and paint apps were awesome.
I picked up a Siege Hotlink at Walmart, but I'm considering taking him back. If I do, I may go for that set.

This is what chuck has to say about the latest addition to the Cyberverse Deluxe line.
chuckdawg1999 wrote:Arcee is the latest addition to the Cyberverse Deluxe sub-line, Generations style articulated versions of characters from the Cyberverse cartoon. While mostly a shellformer, Arcee compacts nicely into a stylized car mode. I'm very happy with the figure as the joints are nice and tight and support the weight of the backpack well. If you want to complete Maccadam you'll need to buy Arcee anyway, but you're getting a solid figure too.
We've also embedded his video review so you can see the figure in action.

These new toys, along with their wave mate Bumblebee, have been slowly popping up at Targets across the US in the past 2 weeks. They retail for 24.99. They were first found in Austria and have also been popping up in the UK at Smyths stores for £25 each.

As for Wildwheel, I'm disappointed. The vehicle is weird for his Western theme for starter. He would be WAY better as a classic muscle car from the 1970/80's. It doesn't make much sense to have a Earth style robot mode with a Cybertronian vehicle. Then, the partsforming hat is sad. All that space under the car for naught. And finally no articulations and the hollow-dollar-store legs syndrome. Wildwheel is a huge missed opportunity.

For him, I don't mind the lack of articulations because it's like a G1 toy that they forgot to release 30 years ago and only NOW it's finally out. I like it.

I’m with you for the most part on Wildwheel, but you’ll never convince me that a removable hat on a cowboy toy is a bad idea.

It's an accessory that can easily be lost and it's essential for the robot's look. There's also the unforgivable sin to not being able to store it anywhere in the vehicle mode.

Yeah, I know... The Target by me had two of them... I was soooo tempted, and I have had zero interest in this line!!

This is a pretty neat set. 4 figures, all with some pretty rad plastic and color schemes. The base mold itself is really simple, but it's still able to pose and move, and it looks pretty good. Feels light, but its a Warrior, not too surprised. Still not a half bad base mold.
Now for the individuals:
Starscream is truly a ghost, this feels like if he had survived his Quintesson judge conversion this would be his form. He feels like a ghost, it's neat. He'll look good with some light shining through him.
Thundercracker feels pretty plain, only translucent is on his blasters, and he feels a bit boring compared to the rest. Which is a shame since he is my nominal favorite character seeker.
Thrust is pretty dang nice, I love the color scheme on him. like TC his only translucent is on the blasters, but the colors are much more exciting on this one. Really enjoy. 2nd favorite of the set.
Skywarp however is the clear winner. Entirely translucent purple plastic for that warping effect, with green blasters! She is very nice, i really did this one. And the jet mode colors are really awesome too.
Overall, a decent set. Glad I got this one, and finally got some Cyberverse seekers. It's worth the pickup I think

chuckdawg1999 wrote:Battle Call Trooper Bumblebee is an ok Ultra Class sized figure. There's really nothing new here as we've seen Bumblebee in every size class this line has to offer. The Battle Call gimmick is fun, but I feel it's lacking without an Officer Class figure to interact with it. While it might not be for everyone, I strongly recommend not paying the $45+ these figures are going for on eBay.

BUT WHY THE HOLLOW LEGS WITH NO FEET?
Seriously, this ruin the figure completely. And as seen in the video, that Bee can barely stand up.

wildwheel: no storage for hat.
warrior optimus: axe is too noticeable and those legs are chunky in truck mode
electronic bunblebee: are we seeing a return of the supreme cheetor mess, unnecessary light and barely stands?
As for electronics and foldup armor, ill pass, But i would love to own Arcee, she looks decent.

It is a good idea
Still i haven't found any good actual warrior/deluxe figures. Iceland is unlucky
No sign of new stuff til 2021 probably.
The newest we have are from cyberverse adventures are 1-Step Whirl and 1-Step Bludgeon (worst weapon gimmick ever, flapping wrist) and recolored sting shot Bumblebee's.
I have few elite class that i like (still they look like they are deluxe sized) i liked, the Grimlock (Crash Bash Armor)and Bumblebee (Ocean Fury) but i don't use the armors. CV Grimlock may be small is a decent G1 representative just needs a sword. PotP Voyager Grimlock is too chunky in t-rex mode for me.

Still love that they made Skywarp a lady. And that she is basically one of 2 named seekers to survive the show. Although I wish she would have talked or gotten to use her teleporting powers.
It's also cool since it sidestepped the normal trio, allowing Nova Storm to take that part for this run. Still wish we could get a toy of Alphastrike since they were partners.
This seeker set is pretty fun. I want to take some more pictures of the translucent plastics. Really wish Thrust and Thundercracker were the same levels of translucent, but it happens, and Skywarp and Screamer have good reasons to be translucent (teleporting and ghost).
Not many Cyberverse toys left in the line, and I want to go back and hunt down a couple older ones to make sure I get the characters. It was a great show, so I will enjoy the toys that I have got!

What if this Seeker set has everyone glowing because it represents the moment in Season 2 where Starscream is glowing with AllSpark energy while he takes the sparks of all the other Seekers, causing them to momentarily glow too as they all die?
'Twould also explain why Skywarp's figure looks more like Nova Storm.

Would not be surprised, even if the figures are using the Starscream season 3 "concept" figure (I use the term since it's a Cybertronian alt mode). It would only be missing Acid Storm then of the named seekers that were de-sparked.
Could also be the ghosts of said seekers Bumblebee encounters while with Meteorfire.
Speaking of which, should have him here soon. Hoping to find him in stores today but if not got him and Wild Wheel all but locked in online.
After those 2, the only Cyberverse figures left to get are Iaconus, Thunderhowl (potentially both), and the Repugnus set for me. Unless they actually do that Ultra Skullcruncher too that we had listings for.
Also trying to track down scout Shadow Striker, Ultra Slipstream, Warrior Windblade, and Spark Armor or warrior Jetfire. Kinda want to get a nice complete cast.
Also also, Cyberverse is proving to be great for repurposing dups of other figures. My TR Astrotrain is going to that shelf, as is a CW Dead End, RiD2015 Bludgeon and Twinferno, and either RTS or TR Perceptor, haven't decided there yet. Almost tempted to move my T30 Jetfire and TR Windblade there too for those 2, but I like how different the Cyberverse Windblade is and she had a decent toy out too, same with Jetfire, and both have decent Cyberverse figures whereas the aforementioned repurposings did not get a toy outside of Dead End.
I still wish we could get blind Cyberverse Perceptor as a toy. that might be my biggest regret that the line didn't give us.
Oh and Titan Iaconus and Croaton someday please
