In no particular order, things to note while watching this new trailer:
- Featuring all new battle scenes
- Cade (Mark Wahlberg) giving Optimus a pep talk so he'll still believe in the cause
- Extended Optimus riding Grimlock sequence
- Lockdown and Hound in action
- Ratchet makes an appearance (should help alleviate some fan fears)
- Scientists figuring out how the Transformers are made and what they're made out of
- Voice over by Optimus Prime
Transformers Age Of Extinction hits theaters on June 27th and this little tidbit will have to tide us over until then.

I know I'm staying up.
It's 3:01. WHERE'S THE TRAILER!!!??? WHERE IS IT!!!???
It's up. Found a Youtube embed that did work for US viewers. (One of the Youtube links had been blocked in our country.)

Prime asking "Who sent you here" that's like a tease for a big reveal.

I was disappointed to hear Bee make his Squeak, finally putting to rest any hope that he would actually talk in this movie.
Kinda annoying the the Imagine Dragons spot showed a lot of the cool stuff.
I'm intrigued by the part at the beginning with Galvatron on a table - the way he was there almost looks like they were dissecting him. Didn't look like he was being built or anything like that - So WAS he built by Humans or merely reprogrammed / controlled - which I would prefer in some respects as it means he has the potential to become Autonomous later in the film and actually BE Galvatron rather than a puppet.

Just because Bee makes that sound does not mean he wont talk maybe he wont but lets not come to conclusions
And it was confirmed Galvatron is human made.

I know you do voiceovers really well, so auditioning for Optimus makes sense, but auditioning for Wahlberg? Did you audition for the character of Cade?

To do his voice over in a trailer, not for the actual role of the actor playing the character. If I recall correctly, Jon has done Robert Downey Jr's voice in an Iron Man trailer as well in the past.

Grimlock and Optimus fighting side by side! WIN!
I wonder if they will give a nod to Animated, and have Lockdown take parts from Ratchet after he's (presumably) killed.
I hope we get an answer to Optimus's question "who sent you?" and that answer is "Rodimus Prime" or "Ultra Magnus."
Posted by Bleak5170 on May 15th, 2014 @ 6:35am CDT
Not really as we get to see him dying once again. But I guess it's nice to know he's in more than just one scene. But losing Ratchet has just completely turned me off of this movie. What they did to Ironhide was bad enough but now this.....

So far, it really does look like there are no genuine Decepticons in this movie.krayziejones wrote:So is this movie just going to have Galvatron (man made), Stinger (man made), Lockdown (not a Decepticon) and a bunch of drones? I really hope there are some actual true Decepticons in this movie.

Hard to tell for sure but based on the blade on its arm, it might be the silver one of the three still-unnamed Chevy Trax Transformers that work with Galvatron. Possibly more human-made mechs.swagitron wrote:Who's that bot at 1.53 throwing those cars it looks like DOTM Soundwave

It's hard to make out what you're trying to say before the "he is that garbage truck guy..." part onward.

"There's one actual Decepticon". I think.
Though we don't know if it is a Decepticon - that might just be the toy faction designation, rather than an in-movie one (as is currently the case for Lockdown, Galvatron and Stinger, and I doubt the Dinobots will have insignias in the film, either).

What do you make of all those things in space? Would they all be under Lockdown's control? Or maybe sent by whoever sent him? I'm not saying they're Decepticons or anything, I am just curious.
Also out of pure curiosity, in the shot of the trailer where Lockdown attacks Optimus and kicks him in the face, it looks like they're both the same size. How can a Lamborghini be the same size as a full-sized semi tractor? As far as I know, the movieverse has respected the mass-shifting of the Transformers so far, they didn't change size between modes.
Why would either of those two send Lockdown to hunt down and capture Optimus?Rodimus Prime wrote:I hope we get an answer to Optimus's question "who sent you?" and that answer is "Rodimus Prime" or "Ultra Magnus."
'Cause I'm sick and twisted. Also, I want to see Rodimus Prime in some way in the movieverse, and I was thinking of the DW Vol. 2 series with Magnus and Shockwave having a truce on Cybertron and Magnus coming to Earth to arrest the Earth-bound Autobots. This is purely to satisfy my wishes, I didn't base it on any kind of factual observation of any details of the new movie. Just wishful thinking.

That is the best looking Transformers movie we have had yet. Too bad it looks as if poor Ratchet IS going to die . Unfortunately Bumblebee will probably not but it would be awesome if he did. The trailer did pretty much prove that Bumblebee will not talk once again boo!! That whole scene with Peltz and her boytoy on the wires looks really really stupid though. I love that Galvatron is man made. If Unicron sent a bunch of drones and Lockdown (that hook is badass!!!) to make way for total annihilation I would be fine with that. Unicron has got to come into the story at some point.
Right?
*crickets churping*
Right Bay?
*sound of Michael Bay making it rain while explosions erupt in the background*

Still, by the designs and story, this movie seems to be finding a better balance of invention and homage than the others!

It appears that Optimus is being blasted in his new form (does he die? is this after the big City fight after they think they are safe?).
Some descriptions make it appear as if Galvatron is truly man made but perhaps "becomes the Decepticon Galvatron". Does it gain sentience? You know that have to have a plot thread where humans messing with advanced technology backfires. After all, the frame looks slightly Megatronish and that guy is TIRED of being dominated.

This is indeed a cool trailer in and of itself and the graphics are astounding but I'm still not convinced that this film should even have been made. I still maintain that they should have stopped at three. I honestly don't think they have the chops to avoid the cinematic curse that befalls most franchises that go beyond that number and they should have just respectfully walked away from further attempts and given more time between films. >:oP

Combined with Grimlock's kill, this movie looks like it'd have a lot of wonderful subtle little things going on at one time so that you'll find something new every time you rewatch it.

Knowing Ratchet he'll probably try and talk some sense into the soldiers before they blow him away.

That's how all the TF movies have been for me. Every time I watch them, I find something new. Whether it be a plot point I missed, or something visual.
