Optimus Prime's Battle HNNNNGHH... What does that remind me of? English dubs of Dragon Ball Z?

The movie could be interesting, but until it's in theaters, I can't pass judgement. ROTF and DOTM looked tolerable enough in trailers, too. I don't mean to say I know this film will be awful, but neither can I say it's going to be good for having a flashy trailer.

They had me up until Optimus so easily swatted Grimlock aside like a fly. I now see where this is going. It's gonna be another Optimus-kills-everyone-and-everything movie... The CG was pretty crisp, though.

Quite a difference in tone from the first trilogy, at least at first glance. I'm definitely jonesin' for a TF film fix and this looks like it'll do and then some. I'm very impressed by the direction they're taking it in, or at least how they're making it seem.

Hopefully, this film will make the naysayers and other film haters take another look and give it another chance.

This might be the TF film everyone was waiting for. (I said might. MIGHT.) That being said, it's sad when the first thought that comes to mind is "Aw crap, here we go." when Optimus slammed Grimlock to the ground like he was a brainless animal, because I knew the fans would get pissed and start complaining.

The fandom is sucking the enjoyment out of me.

I agree that no matter what hype we get for the Decepticons, gun-face will get owned.
Grimlock having horns is a big no no.They couldn't choose Swoop? They had to use a technobot's name? Even if he had two guns.
Nice to see Optimus's evasion mode, but it's not red. Once again Bay's perception of G1 is that it is rusty and old.
Also "Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad"

I wish this is the last and final movie from this horrible series. Michael Bay just stop. But we all know that will never happen

I can't tell- Does he actually get shot at, or what? I see an explosion, and him falling over, but that's pretty much it.

Evasion Mode Optimus looks exactly like his previous forms in robot mode, except faded and rusted.

Seems like the CGI in the Super Bowl trailer was unfinished. A few minor changes were made (Lockdown's gunface, what I'm assuming is the Death's Head.

Stinger looks a lot like Bumblebee, right down to the weird gas-cap crotchpiece thing.

Ratchet is back! Hope he doesn't die!

Did anyone notice how the scene with Marky Mark and whats her name on the ground was basically exactly the same as the scene with Shia Lebeouf and Megan Fox on the ground from the first movie? And how Marky Mark's character is essentially the failed mechanic father of Megan Fox from the second movie? And how the guy from the Hunger Games is basically John Malkovich part 2, with maybe a dash of the Fargo lady thrown in? I guess the good news is if you like Michael Bay, you can rest assured you're just going to get more of the same old crap.

I plan to enjoy this movie for what it is, giant robots smashing each other to bits, with some gigantic robot dinosaurs thrown into the mix this time around (and about slaggin' time, too!). This may be an odd thing to say, but...I'm actually somewhat "excited" for the human side of the story rather than the actual "main stars" of the film. Mainly because, so far, they seem pretty...subdued.

However, I think this film may actual hold true to the whole robots in disguise gimmick that has been terribly utilized for the better part in TF history.

You people b!#ching about Optimus smacking Grimlock have no idea .Did all you 'G1 or Nothing' guys forget Grimlock never Liked Optimus Prime?! My idea is this:: Prime goes to Grimlock for help. Grimlock, not liking Optimus says no. Then Grimlock challenges Optimus, and if Prime wins, Grimlock will help Prime. Prime and Grimlock duke it out, and then Grimlock agrees to help Optimus.

I'm liking what I see so far.

Is it correct to assume Stinger is an experimentation from the US government to create their own robot soldiers? Reverse engineering? Headmasters project? That's why "we don't need you anymore.."

Looks like Optimus is duking it out with the silver truck decepticon on the road. Judging on the follow up of Lockdown shooting Optimus in the same location, I'm guessing the truck decepticon didn't put much of a fight. As all decepticons do.

I hope this movie won't have like billions decepticons like DOTM. I want to see interaction from a cybertronian to another when they fight, conversations, personality.

But mehh...what can you expect.

yeah they're just grasping at straws with this one, looks like the last 3 movies combined. Only thing im curious about is are the dinobots decepticons at first or are they on their own? They have red optics & we've seen them fighting autobots only so far. My guess would be they dont give a damn about who wins then prime tames i mean convinces grimlock to help the autobots.

Actually, this is the first time we've been given an indication that there is some conflict between the Dinobots and the Autobots. The previous teaser shows the Dinobots giving a hand to the Autobots (i.e Bumblebee being saved from an explosion by Strafe, Optimus riding Grimlock).

Yes, because I realized I was probably being too optimistic. But then I saw the screencap, and figured when I eventually stop caring/seeing the TFs on screen, at least now I can enjoy the rest with bewbs without Shia yelling OOOPPPTTTIMUUSSS!! You got a problem with that, HUH?!

You guys crack me up. Waita miss the point entirely, which was that the girls are the only eye candy left, drop dead gorgeous or not. And she doesn't look too bad to me, and we're obviously going to see her full body shot in the movie, but I made the exageration that, given the last 3 movies, that seeing the girls half naked is the best part and always going to end up in the movie (even if this chick doesn't end up like that). Yikes you guys split hairs, might as well be posting in a law firm chat room.

Such comments can only come from 30+ year old fan boys stuck in the past who think the Transformers franchise revolves around them. The movies updated the franchise for and created a new generation of fans, greatly increasing its public mindshare than ever before. Transformers has taken on many incarnations after G1, just because G1 was the first doesn't make it the best and only legit series. In fact, most G1 episodes were dumb, illogical, incoherent stories.

The movies may consistently get flak for being "bad movies", but they are the best thing to happen to the Transformers franchise.

Okay then, what is it exactly that you're trying to get at? Cuz I've yet to see any legitimate complaints pertaining directly to this trailer instead of typical Bay-oriented hyperbole.

My excitement when Whalburg said, "I think we just found a Transformer!" went pretty high. And then the government agent said, "Where is Optimus Prime?" and then that is when the evening went from good to great.

It was like someone had just played Tom Jones' "It's Not Unusual" after seven plays of "What's New Pussycat?" on the jukebox.

I love the dark tone this thing has. I am really hoping for no Wheelie and Brainz an awesome story to go along with it. I think he did some things right with TF3, but it wasn't perfect, and this movie gives him quite the opportunity to make it so. Kinda hoping Fraiser has a metal hand or at least a reference to Einstein hair or acting like a cyborg, but that's obviously asking way too much.
