I'm very interested in that if that's the case. Also very interested in the other Project Storm listing as it has a price point of $10. I really hope these are alongside legends class and it doesn't take their place on shelves.

ARCEE IS BACK BABY!!! /s
In all seriousness it's probably Bee and Stryker is the red card Decepticon from the movie...could be wrong but with only 4 Transformers in this film you don't got much options.

We have threads for MPM (including new Ironhide one I just made), Studio Series, and Predaking already.

A toy journalist I know got to see the Bumblebee Movie toys from Hasbro very recently and said that the whole line feels like a gimmick line with the main line taking a back seat. But he said the gimmicks are way too cool this time ("kids will absolutely love it") and we'll get to see the toys at the Toy Fair as usual.
This is definitely intriguing and gives me the idea that the more tranditional movie toys will instead be the ones found in the Studio Series line.

If there's as few characters in the Bee movie as people say there is then I doubt the movie could sustain a regular figure line of its own anyway so it makes sense to drop them into the SS line.
fruityrobo wrote:so can someone explain if there are any leaders, voyagers, or deluxes? i dont want the gimmicky stuff
Just the stuff in the Studio Series line. Aside from those and the MPM stuff the rest appears to be gimmick laden, role play, or non-transforming stuff.

It's been said by Lorenso (Scum) that there is only 4 Transformers in the movie, we all know Bumblebee, then there is the red car Decepticon which is likely a new character or could be Barricade before he went with the whole police thing, Optimus Prime in a cameo role as a radio communication or narration is likely.
Also have a small feeling that Hot Rod could be in this movie as well but that's just a guess based off how he was with Bee back in the day and having TLK introduce him and expand his character in this movie would be cool.
So yeah not many characters to make a toy line from.

i don't think the fact that only 4 transformers appear on the actual movie is a limiting factor. i mean, on tftm, rotf, and dotm, we got quite a lot of new characters in toy form that never make any appearance whatsoever on the actual movie.

Yeah, but DotM is where they stopped doing that. We only got a few extra characters in AoE and TLK couldn't even be bothered to do all of the Decepticons from the movie.

Yeah back then years ago when they did things differently and according to some people had arguably better quality.
Back in AOE and TLK when these gimmick lines first started appearing? The only non movie characters in the toy line were
Aoe: Deluxe Hot Shot (A not so great straight repaint of Crosshairs), Slash (Who was based off a character that was going to be in the film), Snarl and Voyager Slog. ( And they did not even have more then 2 Decepticons in the line)
TLK: Deluxe Slash and Strafe (Both repaints of their AOE figures) and Voyager Scorn
Hell in TLK the only pure original molds that were not repaints or remolded at all were Deluxe Barricade, Berserker, Sqweeks, Steelbane, wave 3 Bee, Cogman (Although he looks like he's a remold of a car bot like Crosshairs),
Voyager Optimus, Megatron, Hound, Nitro, Scorn and leaders Megatron and Dragonstorm which makes it 12 original molds this is compared to the remaining 8 remold/repaints of the line.
Kind of rambeling here but point was is that Hasbro doesn't do a lot of toy only characters in their movie lines and why would they? There is no comics or video games for them to show up in.

Is it me or is this saying that they plan to release a Masterpiece version of the new Movie-verse Beetle Bumblebee. This would also make it the first immediate 1st party Masterpiece (While 3rd party Masterpiece-like figures for TLK Optimus and Hot Rod are on the way the most recent designs to become Masterpieces were the 2007 Bumblebee and Optimus, produced 10 years later, not counting the HFTD repaints)

You can see one of the VW headlights on his chest and the fan belt/engine assembly on his lower body. Interesting design though, hope we get some more pictures soon!
EDIT: You can see the tail lights on the yellow pieces on his legs.
EDIT 2: Judging from the picture on the top of the box, he still has tires behind his shoulders and door wings like the usual design.

EDIT: I should add that I LOVE the choices to put the movie in the 80s and use this iconic vintage bug. I can see myself buying some toys and adding a decent third party head on them.
This is what the franchise should have done from the start — place the events in the 1980s. It opens the door to using vintage devices like cassettes and classic vehicles like G1 Primes truck model, great nostalgic period music, and not to mention tugs at the heartstrings of all the classic fans.

Anyhoo, this reminds me of the prime design to a small extent but it doesn't bother me. What I want to see is how the movie actually plays out. As the first tf film without Bay at the helm, it's got a lot to prove (like if it ducks can we still blame bay?)

I am really excited to see how this plays out and I dont think this film has to prove anything since it can only do better than what w have gotten so far, not worse. And this director is amazing.
This also reminds me of the Prime style and thats great. When I saw Prime I was glad to see the merge between more realistic movie aesthetic and smooth surfaces like what we usualyl associate to the Transformers look. I wished it was what the movie verse looked like to begin with so seeing it on this movie verse bee is a step in the right direction.

The movie designs were interesting, and kudos to all the staff that worked to bring life to the designs but I do think if the heads were done more in a traditional style then that would of gone a little way to solve the problem. That being said one of the things I love about each new tf series we get is how they'll look (and in the case of the cartoon series, how they'll make toys out of them). Admittedly I'm way out of the loop on this film as I don't know who the director is or what their past work is. I'll have to remedy that.
@Gothasarus not a problem
Also thanks to everyone for not pointing out that my autocorrect changed "sucks" to "ducks" making my comment about bay nonsensical

I think it's the same idea, just some less cluttered and more kid friendly art to sell toys. I'm sure the movie CG will be more gritty and detailed. The antennas have always been there, it's just a matter of how much they want to draw attention to them.
As for why he'd go from a tank to a little VW Bug: peace. Sure, there were other wars, but just like how VW distanced themselves from war machines it seems Bee literally took their lead.

Perhaps the main villain of the film? (Or maybe it's a code name for a character from a previous film could happen)
And is DJ a codename for a transformer at all or for a dancing human figure? (Can't really imagine the latter but it could happen)

The PotP leaks also contained what is now known as the Studio Series, and all figures were properly named, except for one: TF6 Stryker. Combined with leaked Japanese listings, we now know "Stryker" is the code name for Bumblebee.
Also, the Bumblebee won't be the familiar Camaro this time, as the movie is a prequel set in WWII I believe.

Nope has nothing to do with WW2, it takes place in the 80's and Bee is a Volkswagen Beetle here is an official photo with the main human of the movie. (Also box art stuff was leaked with a photo of Bee and he looks much "younger" then the other movies)
And this is the only picture we have of the Red car Decepticon from the movie, we wouldn't have known about this guy until later on since we did not see much filming photos compared to the other movies. (The guy in the photo is Travis Knight)
The red car guy wouldn't make sense as a voyager so if it's a character from the Bee film and not from a previous movie then it's a new character we have not heard about before.

The Director himself has never said anything it was Lorenzo (Who has been known to say somethings that don't end up true like seeing Prime's and Megatron's backstory in TLK, although the number of robots is kinda a different subject)
He specifically said it would only star 4 robots, not that there would only be 4 robots, say there was a cameo of Optimus at the beginning or/and ending of the film that would mean he did not start in the movie.
http://deadline.com/2017/10/china-trans ... 202191402/
So the amount of figures on that list does sort of align with the statement there is Bumblebee, at least two Decepticons being the red car and then presumably this "Destroyer" character since a voyager is too big to be a car, then there is the fourth star which is likely a con. (I honestly think that the only other Autobot that could be in this film Besides Bee and the confirmed role of Peter Cullen who might or might not be Prime is Hot Rod since he has that whole being Bumblebee's brother in arms from the past that TLK established or there could be another Autobot that is killed at the start to show a threat like how Ratchet and Canopy did)

TRA ACTION ATTACKER 20 AST
TRA ACTION ATTACKER 30
TRA ACTION ATTACKER 15 AST
TRA ACTION ATTACKER 8 AST
These Action Attackers turned out to be the entire Cyberverse line, with the numbers being the confirmed price points. You can find out more about that particular line, here.
The previous listings also had Project Storm which we now know to be the codename for the Authentics line:
Transformers Generations
TRA GEN PROJECT STORM (?)
TRA GEN PROJECT STORM 10 (?)
With that said, we have new Action Attacker listings below. These are different than the previous ones and are probably for the Bumblebee Live Action film. Which means that, as with the Cyberverse line, the Bumblebee Movie line will be full of action gimicks.
E1886 Action Attackers Battle
E1907 Action Attackers Costanza
E1906 Action Attackers Bania
E3522 Action Attackers One Step
Along with these new listings were the following which also seem to be for the Bumblebee movie line:
E2093 Energon Ignitors Radar (TF Fan Nevermore informs us that "Radar" was previously used as Optimus Prime's code name)
E0753 Energon Ignitor Blue Light
E0752 Hot Rod Power Series
E0759 Bumblebee Power Series
And two Masterpiece listings which may or may not be for toys we already know are coming.
E0705 Masterpiece Autobot
E0835 Masterpiece Bumblebee
All of these listings were found on www.srbrinquedo.pt and we were made aware of them by TF Fan Nevermore.

Makes sense he is the one other Autobot that makes sense to be in the movie besides a new character considering the two were on Earth working together during World War 2 they had to have separated at some point so maybe the movie could show that.

Nobody living on Earth right now is surprised there's a new Bumblebee mask coming for this movie, we're talking about the annoying trend of the masks being the first official thing shown.

Of course, Bumblebee will be there, but the listings also include Barricade, Hot Rod and none other than Megatron. What is super cool is that the listing states that this Megatron toy turns into a tank. This does not mean that there will be a tank Megatron in the Bumblebee movie but at least it lets us know that there will be a tank Megatron on the shelves, in this subline.
Regarding this subline, the revealed gimmick is very similar to the All Spark gimmick from Transformers: The Last Knight since the descriptions state that a device which does not come included with the toy must be plugged in. The listings also state the amount of steps involved with each toy. And lastly, we see that some characters are for different lines within this Energon Igniter Subline. For instance, Megatron is part of the Power Series while Barricade is part of the Speed series.
Here are all the descriptions:
Megatron
Enter your model number to make sure this fits
Transformers: bumblebee energon igniters power series megatron figure
Energon igniters core (sold separately) activates driving action
5-Inch-scale figure that features classic transformers conversion
Converts between robot and tank modes in 9 steps
Harness energon igniters tech and unleash the power within
Includes transformers: bumblebee energon igniters power series megatron figure and on-box instructions
The lifeblood of transformers robots, energon fuels the epic action on cybertron and beyond. Now, imagine harnessing the transformers energy source with energon igniters figures. Convert this energon igniters power series megatron figure between robot and tank modes in 9 steps.
