Mindwipe is a brand new figure, taking the form of a F-117 Nighthawk. He can interact and combine with Scout Class figure Skystalker, another figure you'll see in the galleries shortly. Defender Optimus Prime is a redeco of Revenge of the Fallen Voyager Optimus Prime, the paint changing from the regular red and navy blue of Prime, to grey and blue. You can check out both of the figure's galleries in the links below.

Defender Optimus Prime
If you spot the Voyagers at retail, please help others out by filling out the sighting pages for Mindwipe and Defender Optimus Prime. Not much of a retail hunter? Then site sponsor BigBadToyStore can help you with orders for both figures.

And about prime, well, i do like the cannon for the air assult, but other than that, per junk!!
Would Mindwipe fit into the classics/universe line? Too me, Bludgeon fits in with no issues or being out of place, just curious about MindWipe..

But Prime looks like they ran out of red dye and tried to sell it. Maybe white might have worked better...

Repaint him black and purple, and give him a removable head and a baffling Transylvanian accent, then we'll talk.

For accuracy's sake, should his chest not then also be gray? The doors off to the side of the windshield can remain blue, as they are on the vehicle mode, but if you're gonna leave out the red in the vehicle mode, it should stand to reason that even though you don't actually turn the windshield/doors into his chest, you should still colour them like they are. I dunno, you can probably tell I'm not a big fan of this one...
Mindwipe, on the other hand, is... dare I say?... bat ass! Oh! That wit of mine first thing in the morning! It just cannot be contained! But seriously, folks. I want me some Mindwipe. I'd prefer him like Diem said with the removable head and baffling accent, but this is still good... for now....

HECK even the leader version of prime sucks, the robot mode is really fragile on the chest and besides that leader prime is to big compared to the rest of the autobots and he has that terrible ball stub to hold his feet to the leg(I HATE BALL STUBS ON LEADER CLASSES)
i just wish they make a different voyager prime mold that is more movie accurate.
MINDWIPE I NEED YOU

Mindwipe will be mine, which goes without saying. I'd love an appropriately-colored repaint as Soundwave, a spot-on Cyberton homage. :drool

Soooooo, after this modification, are you gonna shove your hand up his butt, make him interact with live people and other puppets and make him count things and say 1 ah ah ah!, 2 ah ah ah!, 3 ah ah ah!.

I'd say he's a bit too movie-looking IMO, whereas Bludgeon sort of has that classics thing going, but it's really up to how you feel about him. My Bludgeon goes with my Classics, Mindwipe shall be...MOVIE SIDEWAYS!
He is so seriously badass. I love the visor and the molded eyes underneath. One of the coolest head molds in ages. I also love how every second figure Hasbro releases has some sort of blade weapon these days. It's totally awesome. Back in the day, maybe 1 or 2 figures in an entire line would have a sword. Now it's like "more swords? Sure, have another! Axes? No problem! Daggers? Sure thing! Katana with a wakizashi that can combine into one double-bladed staff weapon? You got it!" Pretty freakin' awesome, IMO.
Prime... looks like they were running out of ideas when they thought up this one. Maybe they heard us complaining about how every Prime gets painted into Nemesis and Magnus colors. Well, this is what we get. Happy now? Didn't think so. BRING ON THE BLACK/WHITE REPAINTS!

Shame on all of you mindless sheep for blindly getting sucked in so easily to the tripe they are pushing off on you. We deserve better than what they are giving us and you people are only encouraging Hasbro to continue to produce crap and rip all of us off.

I'm one of the few that really likes the voyager Prime mold, but come on Hasbro! Can we get some paint on our toys? You don't take off paint and re-release it. I think I'll wait for that Takara remold with the armor power-up.

We are all sick of it and wish it would just go away. I have exactly 1, (that's right, only 1) toy from the ROTF line and that was a Christmas present. Otherwise I have had NO desire to support the b.s. that they are attempting to push off on us consumers. It has all been uninspired, cheaply made, poorly designed crap. The entire ROTF line falls into this category as far as I'm concerned and I hope Hasbro pays attention because not only have I not bought any for myself or my kids but I have been badmouthing the product to others at stores and discouraging friends and family from purchasing their stuff.

Shame on you for calling us mindless sheep when you don't even own any of these toys. You are entitled to your opinion, but please don't berate us for enjoying this toy line.
I'm not sure how you can make such broad judgments about an entire line when all you own is 1 figure from the line. There are well over 175 toys from the ROTF line so far. Bludgeon is an incredible toy, Leader Class Optimus Prime is brilliant, Sideswipe is pretty awesome, as are all of the Human Alliance figures. Mindwipe is a lot of fun, and so is his little buddy Skystalker ... which I loved. My three least favorite characters from the film are three of my favorite ROTF toys (Jetfire, Mudflap and Skids). The transformation schemes behind some of these toys are ingenious in my opinion.
You're more than entitled to your opinion, but I'd highly recommend you get a few ROTF toys to try them out. A lot of the toys are really awesome, even if the characters themselves aren't necessarily the best.

Yes, Mindwipe is pure win! I already have Bludgeon, they'll make a good team. But Midnwipe wouldn't fit into classics/universe, since he has the movie-style hieroglyphics all over him. Nevertheless, cool! I can't wait for Leader Starscream...

This about sums it up. I was pretty dead set on avoiding the line nearly in total. I enjoyed the twins in the movie so I got most of their figures and all the Human Alliance figures. Those are pretty darn cool. Ravage is decent too. I dunno, if you hate the movies then nothing's gonna change your mind. However, calling everyone names for buying something they like is fairly asinine. I can guarantee you have a favorite that I would probably consider absolute garbage. It doesn't mean either of us is right. It means we're Transformers fans and can't agree on anything.

Quoted because seriously... how often do you hear that?
Still though I'm in agreement that the movie aesthetic, or at least how it's been done in plastic in the ROTF line has even won me over. I've only got so many as I could afford so far, but there's about six or seven more that my collection just cannot do without.

I honestly don't know why I enjoyed them either. I despised Jazz in the first movie because to me, he was an absolute stereotype of an ignorant urban youth.
There's a fine line between having personality and blatant ebonic slang to simulate personality. Especially considering he had an adult voice. He grated on me so much. These guys? I guess maybe it's because they're meant to be ridiculous and not really to be taken seriously. That's the best reasoning I've got. Of course it's all just meant to be fun. So, I dunno why Jazz got me so bent.

Skids and Mudflap are among my favorite things of this decade. I loved them in the movie.
You know, by no means have I bought a lot from ROTF. I've actually bought quite little, about seven or so figures. Honestly, I'm tired of movie style and would be content with accurate remakes of G1 toys. Despite this, credit must be given when due, the ROTF toys have excellent designs that are nearly as intricate as clockwork. It is amazing to me that we've come this far, the toys are no doubt well made.
Mindwipe looks like another great toy I would like to have, if ever I get around to snagging one.

It's close... but not that close. Mindwipe is an actual military vehicle... Sideways is just some random fighter plane.

As for that Prime, I'm disappointed it even got the green light for production - all that bland and ugly grey plastic... Heck, a White Magnus repaint would have been more welcome.

I think it's a lot of this is why I love them, too. Also, considering how many white high school kids act exactly like the twins, I can't really find them racist.
Besides, look at how un-PC G1 is and how many ridiculous things it had, and I thing RotF is fairly faithful to the spirit.

I thought Sideways/Noisemaze's alt mode was loosely based on a NASA concept model or something.
But I think there's a reasonable amount of similarity in robot mode anyway. That's why I'm buying him!

I actually don't mind this mold so much; while it doesn't perfectly capture Prime's movie appearance (i.e. the back kibble), it looks great in alt-mode and is very sturdy in robot mode. Plus he's the perfect height to stand up to my RID Scourge.
I do agree that the Defender repaint is pretty lame though. If they were going to make his colours that different, they should have made it Magnus to throw a bone to Magnus fans. Otherwise, an actual remold in regular movie Prime colours/re-release of the First Strike Prime would have been better than what we got.

Well, there's also that. But I have to tell myself something to justify spending another $30 on a figure I don't really need.
