Also did this get missed out - I don't recall it being linked too before :

Horridly applied marker at that.
Also, I recognize that Transformers: Prime score anywhere, 0:27.

Ah...I miss TFP. I wish Netflix would make a Transformers series for adults.
Or Studio Trigger.

Isn't he the cutest fwoggywoggy? Yes he is, yes he is
I should stop passing on him... maybe make him a spokesfrog for thread derailing

He's pretty great. I put him on that top tier of awesome Decepticons from the line. His bot mode has that great evil brooding posture to it. The parts formy nature of his pincers is strange, but they don't detach, and in the end it works well and makes for an interesting transformation.Black Hat wrote:Topic: Is Scorponok worth picking up? Plus he comes with that dope scimitar!

If you're going to use him as a thread dereailer, at least let me take a better picture! That guy was frikkin' bigfoot the day I took that pic. My phone just couldn't focus no matter what.
Also, stop passing on him. He is worth every penny

Me too - and Bisk and Scatterspike - I don't know yet what the case stuffers are for the Thermidor/Bludgeon wave - but I suspect there is at least a chance some of the wave might show up - if only by judging what Toyfair Australia had on their displays.
When BBTS or someone puts that case pre-order up I guess I'll know but as is I think I may have to just order them on Amazon (reluctantly) or import them some other way - I had the same problem with not being able to get half of the Predacons Rising or Clash of the Transformers stuff either.
I'm especially irked by not having that black and red Optimus warrior class or the alternative Megatronus & Grey/blue sideswipe.

searches random stores, mostly futilely for Cyclone Mini-Cons. Patiently waits for RiD Combiners, that's about all I got.
If all that other stuff could be moved, yeah that would be great, I'd love to continue it elsewhere. Thank you.

The Mini-cons in general have been a joy so far. I've got Sandsting, Ratbat and Divebomb and even with their minimal articulation they're just so much fun. I need to get myself a Dragonus, a Back and possibly an Airrazor (if I can get one separately). Maybe even Glacius and Swelter. Hell, I want them all!
I dunno. Teeny tiny robots scratch a very specific itch.

It's why I want the Weaponiser version. Sure he's got a weird edgy new colour scheme going on, but dammit, he can be a gun for Bruticus now!

I got my Airazor from a deployer Fracture on sale for $9 on ebay, so i'd take a peek there!

Carzybolt on the other hand...ugh....why he was never released in the U.S. still puzzles me to this day, as is the case with *most* Cyclones.

o.supreme wrote:All the deployers that were readily available (Drift in either color, Fracture, and Overload) have been super cheap, as stated above $9 recently on Amazon & HTS, though I don't think they are there now, but yu can probably find them by other means relatively inexpensively.

Crazybolt and the weaponizers are a sore point for me. I really wanted them but could never see them

I had to pester some random Canadian dude to find them for me.
I'm very thankful for random Canadians.

agreed 100%. I wonder why that is part of the reason why they don't have packed-in toy catalogues anymore 9well as well as a cost-cutting measure and the prolific nature of the internet).
But as futile as it seems, I can distinctly remember in the 80's, whether I collected them or not, seeing pretty much EVERY Transformer, GI Joe, MOTU etc... at some point in a store. Now, there is a good chance some might not even be released in a particular region or country.
Its even more frustrating when you go to Hasbro's website, all the product descriptions are there, then you get this: "this product is not available for purchase in your area"....and I'm like...why? And Hasbro customer service has no intelligent answer to this question.
I actually called asked them why they had dozens of Combiner Wars box sets collecting dust on toys shelves in Canada, when they could sell well in the United States...I got put on hold and disconnected.

I guess the best I could do for an American/Canadian on a western one is about £24.00 shipped in it's box in a box - bit less if the box is just wrapped in brown paper and bubble wrap and a lot less if sent loose.
I can probably get a couple though - as could other people they are about especially in B&M
Posted by o.supreme on March 22nd, 2017 @ 12:10pm CDT
With Hasbro you get a white Hammer mini-con (I already have the individual Orange Hammer)
With TT you get a green Ransack (which I don't have, but I do have 2 backtracks...) man this is confusing...
My son is actually the one who likes the deployers and mini-cons. But its such a cluster the more I look into it. The first 2 waves, everything was fine. Then with all the cyclones we had the issue of not finding most them, then 4-packs that were mostly repaints, but some we didn't have, then the show going way out in left field with "Slicedice"...yeah, its not fun.

Drift is done in the butterfly opening style which if I'm honest, has been way overused. Sideswipe, features a fantastic new transformation that I hope to see more of in the future.

They showed some newer ones at Australian Toyfair and so It looks like they are going to be making both at the same time - but darn is the supermarkets never going to order both. So one of them is going to be hard to get. same with the onesteps too.
I am hopeful Sideswipe (Transformation 3) will show up before the line gets canned. as I don't much appreciate having to import onesteps.

So new Warriors arrived from HTS yesterday. For the new molds, I thought Blurr was a bunch of fun but the poseability is limited. I enjoy Soundwave quite a bit, but objectively, many of you won't. The alt mode is strange, it has visible hands in said mode, and some parts don't quite move around as seamlessly as they could. Personal taste on the design and transformation scheme has me pretty positive on it, but if I put on the critical toy nerd hat it doesn't hold up well. Anyone else pick these up?

I got both yesterday as well. They are both good and fun, but not the winners of the line to me.
soundwave feels a little lighter than I'd like, and his chest looks a bit too big in robot mode. I love the design but I wish it was a little denser and a little less... chesty.
And Blurr, yeah the posability feels off, and I think his shoulders are a bit too high.
They are alright and lots of fun, but they aren't the Thunderhoofs and the Fractures of the line
Posted by ScottyP on March 23rd, 2017 @ 9:42am CDT
That's a very succinct and effective way to describe them. Good, but not great like the ones you mentioned and Bisk.D-Maximus_Prime wrote:They are alright and lots of fun, but they aren't the Thunderhoofs and the Fractures of the line

It's actually kind of funny that Blurr, Ratchet, and Windblade are the only Autobots I've bought in the past year. It's been ruled by the Rid cons

My only complaint with TFP Wheeljack is he needs his faction symbol. I would have also preferred his face but his battle mask does look cool. I will admit that whenever I try drawing Wheeljack it is a pain and he often winds up looking like a gremlin so I understand why they gave him the mask instead.

There's a few Wheeljack's on Ebay if you don't mind used toys. I was able to get mine off there and he was in good shape. You wouldn't be able to tell someone owned him before me.
As far as RiD goes the only ones I really felt I needed to have were Thunderhoof and Ratchet. I have found this line to be a little...underwhelming. I may grab a minicon or two at some point but I think I'm better off with Titans Masters.

First taste of the Weaponizer Mini-cons and he's a damn good one! I've wanted more Targetmasters for a while and if this is standard for the subline I am very happy with RiD 15 right now

ANy reason? Is it just budget or does the line leave you uninspired? I can recomend some good ones and once this line is over I will happily write a list of the top 5 new molds within the RID/TAV lines.

If you are gonna grab minicons, better do it before they are completely sold out and impossible to find, because its about to become that way soon.

Sadly, he is not the standard, he is the best one. I find the rest not as great. The others I like are Bludgeon and Sawtooth since they have both fun robot modes and weapons.

Budget. Remember my big Christmas and birthday hauls? That's pretty much the only time of year I get anything, which is why I got so much. Trying to get TR deluxe completion, so everything else (except TLK Leader Megs) is low priority.
