We do see one of these photos from Takara showing the figure with the bulkiest bits of the backpack removed and turning into a hoverboard. However, we see there that even with those bits removes, we still don't get the typical Arcee silhouette. Let us know if you think this is an improvement over the previous Generations/Legends Arcee and if you will be getting this toy when it comes out later this year.

I bet Hasbro / Takara will be there first.
Thunderblast anyone?

Parts of the trailer are molded on the same sprues as parts of the figure, so it has to share the color scheme and they can't make the figure without the trailer (presumably). I feel like this gets brought up every time Prime is mentioned...
Also Arcee continues to just look to be a bad figure, so easy pass.

william-james88 wrote:A new video on youtube shows us a good look at the upcoming Sleep Mode Optimus Prime figure (also known as dead Optimus Prime). So firstly, that confirms that we are getting one. Secondly, we get a good look at the robot mode and it features a new headsculpt based on his look in the movie when he died. This would be the very first time the concept of a dead G1 Optimus Prime was sold by Hasbro since so far it was always exclusive Takara redecos.
You can watch the video from Swift Transform below which features a comparison with Transformers Earthrise Leader Class Optimus Prime.
He's dead, Jim.

Yes, why are you asking?

Pretty sure it looked like that in the renders.Sabrblade wrote:Did we know about Arcee's unpainted face before now?

Quantum Surge wrote:I think part of the backpack is mistransformed. There's supposed to be a gap between the "shoulder pylons", right?
The renders do show the very tip of the hood folded in. These pictures seem to show a hinge at the same point, but I can't tell if that part is a separate piece.

The T-30 one is still available (and much better looking) on BBTS, but the catch is you can only get her paired with with T30 Chromia for $29.99.

Just another option for anyone who is Arceeless and underwhelmed by the ER version.

Part of me wished Hasbro came up with a design that'd capture her look yet make her feel like a Transformer without a huge backpack. I know there's a way to make her look good while spreading the car kibble elsewhere without being the TR version.

If one doesn't have either, that's one great deal for a pair of excellent fembots.

T30 chromia is a pretty decent toy though, well worth having.

Kinda reminds me of that AOE First Edition Optimus.
It does, however, integrate the front wheels into the legs fairly decently. The backpack, not so much.

Just one of the most unconvincing Transformers as well as a bit of a tacky one. (Even ignoring her Leia ripoff theme)

It's thunderblast from cybertron. However, she had a miniscule bit of alt mode intergration with her feet being part of the ship, bu that was it.

We also have images of the upcoming Titan class Scorponok. these images from Takara show us the final product so you have a good look at the how the paint apps will look along with his Head/Titan Master.

“Is dead Prime and the Alternate Universe Optimus Prime listing the same thing?”
Yes they are. The Product Numbers are the same. (E7462)
So this thing is supposedly going to be a Amazon exclusive.

Yeah and we know to always expect the most boring option to be true. Typical stuff. I guess this means no Fire Convoy.

As bad as these shelformers are, I'm not sure they're quite as bad. At least Thunderblast incorporates her shins and feet. An argument can even be made that that Prime's legs have some incorporation. Arcee on the other hand...

Someone needs to ask Hasbro why third-party toy makers make their characters so much better than they do.

No need to look at third party, they themselves did a much better job in the past.

Because 3rd parties have no budget when making stuff. They design it and then figure out the price and then charge $80+ for it and you have no problem paying for it. hasbro has a budget and restraints as well as making toys for everyone. Not just grown adults who never grew out of playing with toys.
