Drag Strip is my favorite, personally. It's all in that vicious head sculpt.
Agree with you on Armada Megatron - but he's primed for a 3rd party to swoop in and give him a killer add-on kit with swing around cannon, and maybe even a nice dagger per the original toy. That's my hope, anyway...

Yeah Menasors pretty awful, the proportions are all over the place! Cannot understand how they can get Superion so right and Menasor so wrong. Still money saved for Devy. Not feeling Megs at all, too big for a start. Really is a mixed bag this line.

I get the feeling that I might have liked that figure more if it had just been a straight redeco instead of a simple remold; a version of G1 Megatron colored as a homage to Armada Megatron, instead of actually trying to be Armada Megatron.

Menasor looks okay to me, but I'd need better pics to really judge.

What I'd like to see someone like Perfect Effect do is an add-on kit that works as a trailer for Motormaster, becomes a "repair bay" when he's in robot mode (ala the vintage toy) and splits apart into add-ons for the combined mode that bulks him up and improves his proportions (and gives him better hands and feet).
The G1 Megs works, but the Armada version...eh. I'd rather a 3P company came out and gave us a kit to give the original toy better leg articulation. All you'd need to do is replace his hips and thighs. I suppose they could make him replacement feet but they'd need to find a way to let the buyer remove the pins.

I don't see what's wrong with Menasor (yet), besides Wildrider being replaced by a truck named Offroad and the Menasor horns.

Completely agree. Can't stand the bulky wide chest with a car stuck bang in the middle of it. Looks bloody stupid. His head sculpt is awful too. The more I look at it the more I'm put off until a Third Party can attempt to salvage it. Also, when I was thinking about getting him I was planning to have Dead End and Breakdown the other way around, how they should be. It looks like you can do this with Breakdown, but Dead End has this bit of kibble that looks like it'll obstruct that. Badly designed if that's the case.
Individually they don't look bad, but Menasor is a bit of a car crash.

Motor Master - Sword
Dragstrip - Sword
Breakdown - Sword
Offroad - Axe
Deadend - Exhaust Pipe
Maybe it's because he's a such a Pessimist he knows a sword won't work on the Autobots anyway so he's not even trying to fight.
I actually kind of like Menasor. He's not perfect but I still quite like him. I will wait for in hand pics of the Megatrons.

Samsonator wrote:Without mini-con capture claws, or a shiv concealed in his hand, that Armada Megatron does nothing for me, the G1 Megs still looks stiff and undynamic, but I don't understand everyone's problems with Mentor. Individually yhe Stunticons all look great, and I see no glaring issues with the combined mode. Am I missing something?
I wish the chest vehicles could transform in a way where the legs come up the sides of the hood to make a more uniform look similarly to Thundercracker. Just looks off. Otherwise, I still like the concept and am hoping for some Abominus, Dinoking/Monstructor, Piranacon, and/or Predaking love.

I always saw the Stunticons as brutish thugs. An exhaust pipe is pretty fitting, as far as bludgeoning objects go.

thats actually a reallt good idea! not sure if i personally care to upgrade hasbros menasor though, since i have FP's (but i do plan to still get hasbros).Delta Magnus wrote:What I'd like to see someone like Perfect Effect do is an add-on kit that works as a trailer for Motormaster, becomes a "repair bay" when he's in robot mode (ala the vintage toy) and splits apart into add-ons for the combined mode that bulks him up and improves his proportions (and gives him better hands and feet).

Not to mention "functional kibble" (as in working tread in tank mode).shajaki wrote:i was also thinking that. i thinking its "optional kibble".Sabrblade wrote:The treads on the back are probably meant to be lowered for Megatron and raised for Armada Megatron.

Okay slight difference, but geez ... not much.

Does Megs have the ability to combine with the deluxes like Prime?
Posted by Sabrblade on January 2nd, 2015 @ 7:44pm CST
What's wrong with Megatron being bigger than Optimus? Wouldn't he generally like being bigger than Optimus? He is the bad guy, after all. He's not one known for playing fair.MightyMagnus78 wrote:The robot scale for this line is all over the shop. Making Megatron a leader class figure and not a voyager was idiotic IMO. Assuming he's about the same size as Generations Leader Jetfire, he isn't going to scale well with Prime at all, however the problem is then reversed once Prime combines to his 'Ultra Prime' mode.
Huh, just like the original Armada Megatron and Armada Optimus toys.MightyMagnus78 wrote: however the problem is then reversed once Prime combines to his 'Ultra Prime' mode.

HA! That works so well for Armada Megatron then!
And I was always under the impression that Megs was bigger. Maybe not THAT much bigger (ala animated TF) but still bigger and more powerful.

What does scale mean when it comes to Transformers anyway? If Megatron can become the size of a human held pistol and also stand toe-to-toe with something the size of a semi I don't know why he can't be a little bigger.

This is a G1-style Megatron. Since when is that Megatron bigger than Prime by the same margin a leader bot is bigger than a voyager?

I agree 100%! I really hope there's someway to merge that ax with the sword and hopefully the other melee weapons to make a super sword of sorts.

It's very possible the figure isn't transformed correctly. Not the first time that's happened in the Transformers or any other line!

Drag Strip is nice, but that HTS Drag Strip Mirage repaint is far and away a better stand alone Drag Strip.
I like them, but I got them at Target for $12 each. There is no chance in the world they are worth $17 from TRU.
