New Official image of Transformers Movie Advanced AD32 Stinger

is the head sculpt news? either way its the first ive heard of it, thats awesome! i assumed itd be a straight repaint.

I think it was always assumed to have a new head sculpt.

I dunno about the new head sculpt thing, that looks like it just has the battle mask down.

Since the first pics were shown it was pretty obvious it would be a straight redeco of Bumblebee. We even hoped that TakaraTomy would give him a new Pagani car mode shell. Nope, no such thing.

Eh, I'll be getting him anyway, best we'll get. Not the first time the car model of the toy doesn't match the one on-screen (look at Dino). Again, I ask: why is it always the red cars that get screwed over?

It is cleverly painted to give it a new head sculpt type look.

i knew they wouldnt go through the trouble of making a new shell & head, but at least its not called cliffjumper.

A bit of a shame there's no new shell, but to be fair I reckon the costs of retooling him would be more than would be practical for Takara- he'd need most of his molds recut, to the point where he might as well have a whole new toy made for him. These things are pretty expensive to make after all. Kinda disappointed there's no new headsculpt though.

He looks nice in those colours mind you.

If Hasbro completed their prototype of Stinger, we likely would have gotten a Pagani re-shell. But they didn't, so we didn't.

Dissapointed. Trying to custom reshell is hard, so It's better to buy the one step

No biggie, it's already been established that Stinger doesn't have a new head. The battle mask is just cleverly painted.

He looks very good, and we really need more human made Decepticons. Any rumors about Hasbro making or releasing this Stinger?

Good pictures, I love the mold. The subtle canon arm and battle mask are very nice adds. Hopefully they won't abandon the movie toy line. I'd love to see more generations movie figures.

Nope. Last BotCon, the group I was hanging out twith was told at the Hasbro booth that Hasbro had originally planned to produce a Stinger remolded from Bumblebee, but it never got past the prototype stage.

The AOE line is over for Hasbro. RID is taking its place.

I bought him. And just like Dispensor, I plan to display him in my classics collection as a brand new character.

honestly im a little let down. the lack of paint in car mode (lights/rims) is not befitting of a pricey takara import.

I dont think takara cheaped out. Its just that stingers rims were painted black in the movie so they went for that look. As far as the lights, thats the same way they were painted on bumblebee.

alright, you made me feel better about the rims. but the lights still bug me. and FYI, the "autobots united" BB had painted rims and lights, he looks stellar.

It looks like the Age of Extinction/Lost Age toys are unwilling to leave us, as a new redeco has shown up on Toys'R'Us Japan's website. Admittedly, we had heard of it before, but check out below some very nice shots of the TRU Japan exclusive Black Knight repaint of the AD-31 Armor Knight Optimus Prime, including shield and sword accessories, and the faceplate switch gimmick!

He looks so cool.BTW,he looks more like Nemesis.Just look at him and compare it with the LA power battler Nemesis Prime.

This Black Convoy is a sexy MOFO. I already have AD-31 so I gonna pass. However, if anyone dont have the AD-31 retool and are Nemesis Prime / Blabk Convoy lovers, this is a must buy.

I wish they'd do something with Nenemsis Prime in the next film.

I really don't know if i need this. It's a beautiful retool, but the red on the chest doesn't belong. I'll wait to see what HLJ prices him at.

I don't think it's going to be on there. it's a Japanese TRU exclusive. I don't remember HLJ getting the Nemesis evasion mode prime.

I NEED preorders for this!! but yea colors on the chest is a lil strange too.

One repaint I hate about about prime is black make him black make him decepticon it looks evil in black not good looks pretty in truck mode
