I hope Hot Shot becomes a more mainstream character, I think the relationship between him and Bumblebee could be fun.

That Hot Shot looks like an upscaled version of the Bumblebee from the Rock Rescue Team set.

At least TFP Hotshot had some different colors than Bee even though the only thing different about him is his head. I'd also argue that HotShot has better details than Bee did. But I am rambling.

Toy fair 2018 showed us that the Transformers: Rescue Bots line is alive and well and will continue for a while. We recieved several official images for waht was revealed at the event, along with products descriptions, but there were some toys that still lacked stock images. Like these new flip racers which includes what appears to be Optimus turning into a jet truck.

While we have seen, and from various angles, pretty much all of the Transformers Rescue Bots figures back at New York Toy Fair 2018, we have news of the Optimus Prime dinosaur mode toy appearing on online retailer Hasbro Toy Shop, thanks to a tip from fellow Seibertronian Hellscream9999.

Officially called Knight Watch Optimus Prime, the toy is currently available in stock for purchase online. As staff has pointed out, with the closure of Toys R Us, several new sightings of lines such as Rescue Bots will indeed first appear online rather than in stores - but! if you come across any new item, make sure to flag it in the Sightings Database and drop a line in the regional Sightings section!

Courtesy of staff member and Twincast Podcast host ScottyP, we have a sighting for some Transformers Rescue Bots figures from the bigger size of the recent Playskool Heroes line: Quick Dig Boulder and Epic Optimus Prime (modest, much?)!

Both were spotted in Cary, North Carolina, and the Target store there, with Boulder running at 19.99 USD and Optimus Prime much cheaper, at 9.99 USD - which is expected, given the fact that the former can transform (with an easy to do conversion!) and the latter does not. If you come across these or any other Transformers figures, make sure to use the Sightings Database tool to help out other fans, and browse through our regional sightings board section too!

I love this Boulder toy. He's huge for a $20 toy. Total brick house, but in a good way.

Starring Vin Diesel

Two brand new Transformers Rescue Bots toys have been listed on Amazon.com. Figures of Optimus Prime and Heatwave appear on the site as available for purchase. These appear to be very similar to the rest of the Rescue Bots line in terms of how they transform. We can tell that these will be simple and fun toys for kids. In the images below you will notice that Heatwave transforms into a indy race car rather than his usual firetruck mode. Have a look and tell us what you think.

Allow me to clarify my point- I didn't say there were more girls than boys in the Transformer fandom. In fact, I'm almost certain the majority are males. I simply stated that, out of those I know personally (not online, not because they're "popular" or "famous", but people I talk to constantly face-to-face), there are more girls in my circle that like Transformers than boys.

My reasoning for this? I'm a girl, and I tend to associate with girls more than I do boys (with some exceptions). My town is also a very small place. Plus, the majority of my family is female. I also don't enjoy socializing that much, so I don't talk to as many people as most do. I'm sure there are more boy TF fans around in my town, but I have yet to meet them. I never once said there are more girls in the fandom than boys. I'm sure if I went to a Con, there would be a lot more boys, but I don't have much money, and that's far too many people in one place for my liking.

Also, I should be thanking you- having a debate with someone was an assignment for my World Studies class, and my teacher says they'll count this! So, thanks!

We have known that Knight Watch Optimus Prime was in stock at HTS. However if you prefer to purchase items in person then you will be happy to know that one of our readers has found Knight Watch Optimus at Meijer in Westland, Michigan for 24.99. They were nice enough to take a few pics to get a good look at what this figure is really like. It appears he comes packaged with Lance the raptor-bot and Scale the Shield-bot (Whom resembles an ankylosaurus for my fellow dinosaur enthusiasts). Optimus himself transforms from brave knight to T-rex.

I need to get that dragon Heatwave for my little guy. It's still not out in Canada yet.

While waiting for the new Rescue Bots Academy themed toys to come out, Hasbro and Playskool are still releasing product to have toys and the brand present on the shelves. The latest wave is indeed filled with previously released toys but it's another chance for parents or fans to get these molds in these colours.

Scottmus Prime found this wave at Central Islip Target in Long Island, New York. It is made up of :

- Sports car Bumblebee and Blades, both reissues
- Heat Wave in a red racecar alt mode (similar to diaclone Mirage), this is the first time this toy is available outside Amazon.
- ATV Bumblebee, which is a redeco of the ATV Bumblebee that came in the Bumblebee Rescue Team set which included an actual robot griffin Transformer.
