New message from Toysrus.com regarding SDCC exclusive purchases on eBay last night

i noticed it in my favorites but i also tried the one someone posted up there before me and it works too...so wheew!!

EDIT: hmmmm i just tried the link from work (i was home last night when i posted the above message) and now it doesnt work again...weeeird.

I find it funny how at first they told me they canceled due to being out of stock in their wearhouse...

Nothing weird/funny about it. They are contractually obligated to release him on July 18th (one week from this Thursday) and cannot do so before then. And due to that street date, they do not have any in stock. It's not in the stores, warehouses or distribution centers. It's still in transit and locked away. I've confirmed this myself, several times. It won't be released to them until the night before (the 17th) or the morning of (the 18th). They were honest in what they told you.

Has anyone got a charge back on their card? After the order and the refund i got charged today again? TRU was no help because they cannot view orders because their system is down.

This is retarded. Poor customer service to make the same people go back on line and re-order the same s**t. It's a god damn mass release, not some super special exclusive that needs a special release date. So who cares ? Somebody grab a TRU corporate guy and smack him across the face with wet towel

I just called my local true and they said they don't have any and won't unless it comes as a special delivery tommorow. I hope the link goes back up soon. I was really hoping to just go pick one up And not wait for shipping.

They probably won't come until the week after SDCC.

So is there any reason to wait till midnight to see if they pop up on the site?

I believe those are when they begin to be available online. As for in-store, impossible to say.

Well, I have 12:01 a.m. EST, and it isn't on the website yet... So I suppose we can discount midnight. :p

If hasbro wants to avoid a huge stain someone will walk into a TRU at 10am and pick one up. It would be different if they hadn't pre posted the link and sent a bunch of emails telling people it would be available on-line and in stores on 7-18. I have 3 TRU in my immediate area and I will be hitting up every one of them.

Like I said, if they weren't so specific I could live with that but, don't give a date and not deliver. They've had plenty of time to make an official postponement, especially after the ebay incident.

I'll be watching all night and if it becomes available online, I'll order one and if I find one locally I'll just cancel it but trust in believe by 11 am tomorrow I'll own this figure one way or another or raise hell about it. I'll understand if my TRUs don't have them yet (i'm usually about 3-6 behind official release dates in my area) but as long as I can order one online I'll be happy knowing it's on the way.

This figure seems to be a big deal to us collectors. We're the guys who are spending $100+ a shot for these big ticket figures. I may be wrong but, I doubt that botshots and rescue bots are where they're making the bulk of their money. I specifically didn't get the Takara version because of the US Hasbro release.

I'm sorry, I'm just stressed and venting. I really want this figure. I had to bust my hump to make sure I got the last MP Prime with trailer and even though I busted my hump I still couldn't get a MP Grimlock and ended up paying $250 for one because TRU wouldn't put him on layaway. I hate when people are too lazy to do their jobs because that's what happened there.

In TRUs defense, now that walmart and everyone else raised the prices on their TF deluxes, TRU doesn't seem so overpriced anymore. I wonder who knows who in order to make that awfully convenient for them. TRU has been pretty good to me over the years though. I'm just stressing.

I got my MP Soundwave too. I spoke to my friend that works at TRU and he said as of right now, the MP Acid Storm will be selling in Store. So I would go to your neighborhood TRU to pick up this bad boy.

Then when you go to check out, "The following item: Transformers Masterpiece - Soundwave has limited inventory. We've adjusted the quantity below to reflect the number we have available. " Yeah, adjusted to zero. WTF

got the same thing when I tried at 7 30 am. may stop by tru on the way to work just to see if they have one, though with my luck they wont.

I don't know if my order went through but it was recorded in my paypal account so I hope it did.

I ordered mine in the second batch around 748 according to my Email confirmations. Also shows the pending charges on my card for my three items. MP SW for me and , MLP Nightmare Moon and Silverbolt for my daughter.

Oops. I was checking my wrong email and just checked the correct one and saw my order confirmation.

Man I hope the mp 10 thing doesn't happen again.

It's not "these people" that are the problem, it's US. They have a limited inventory. For every one they have, there are probably ten (a hundred?) of us trying to get it.

Went to TRU this morning, met two other guys looking for them as well but no avail. FB says they wont get them in stores till August. Got my Acid Storm (I hope), the paypal went through and I got an email, but after submitting my order it said "Quantity exceeded blah blah blah" fingers crossed

This happens every year with these exclusives. You'd think they'd learn how many to order.

Welp after my blundered whole night of staying up (by 1 hour of sleep at 5:15) I went to TRU this morning, nothing. Their Facebook said stores dont get them till August. Did get my Acid Storm (Although it said quantity exceeded blah blah blah)but paypal and email came through. PS sorry if this is a double post first one didn't seem to work

I just went to 3 TRUs and the one that would even help me said try Tuesday. Funny that Tuesday is not 7-18. I also learned from talking with them that TRU distributes as they see fit depending on the class of store and that since 2 of my TRUs are C class and the other one (The good one with decent employees) is a D class they will only be getting 1 case the other to might get 2. I don't care if it a Z class store there should be one on the shelf at every TRU on the release date. I'm literally sick to my stomach from the stress this is causing.

For the record I'm one of 4 guys that was at one of these TRUs at 10am when they opened. Why, I ask the Gods, Why are you not ready to take my money. If it's no good, I'll happily take one for free
