LG47 Kickback & Crowbar
LG48 Gong (Brawn) & Repugnus
LG49 Targetmaster Triggerhappy
As we know from Kup and Hot Rod, the Triggerhappy being labelled as a Targetmaster means he will come with an additional targetmaster. Since there are no images, it is unknown who Crowbar is at the moment aside fromknowing that he is a Titan Master head.
These are coming out in October 2017.

Interesting...
Very curious to see what they'll do with Triggerhappy and what if any Titan vehicle / weapon they'll include with him.

Going by the price and that they're calling him Targetmaster Triggerhappy, I'm going to assume he comes with a Targetmaster like Kup and Hot Rod.

It will be like Hot Rod and Kup, with an actual targetmaster

Kapow currently has Legends Hot Rod and Kup at £35 RRP and have actually reduced them to £30 even though they're still in pre-orders, funnily enough. Looks fine to me.

Looks fine for you, sure.
But I buy my Hasbro deluxes for £8,44 at the most, so £30 is more than 3 times the cost. Instead of doubling up on Triggerhappy, I could get hasbro TR Misfire, Windblade and Topspin for the same amount.
My choice is very easy in that regard.

Very true, very true. Just for me it's not too terrible, especially when you chuck in the Targetmaster who is essentially a legion figure that becomes an awesome accessory, right? So £17 + £7 = £24... not too shabby.

Not too shabby in your siatuation, especially since Kapow deals with the importing already. I am assuming their £30 includes the taxes right? So yeah, i can see where you are coming from. But I am glad you can see where I am coming from too

Yeah, it's about £3 for shipping, but that's it.
By all means though, I really wish prices were a lot cheaper. I'm just not groaning at them because they're not much higher than I'm used to; just kind of conditioned to expect that price point especially when it's both a Takara import and including basically another half a figure. Still wanting to challenge this, but I'm not entirely sure how well I can do that while the screen says both "LG49 Targetmaster Triggerhappy" and "Add to Basket"...

Could be, but until we get a look at the Katakana, I'm gonna guess Crowbar might be a G1-transplanted version of the DOTM guy redecoed from Sawback's Titan Master without the lion/shield accessory.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Ok, are we sure the name is actually "Crowbar" and not a misreading? Since it's a Titan Master; I'm guessing it's Fangry, since Takara hasn't used that yet (plus he's from Wave 3 and they've used all the ones from Wave 1 and 2), he's a Decepticon which goes with Kickback, and his Japanese name is Croc, which I could see Crowbar being mistranslated from. At least more than Shuffler, Lione, Amhorn and Swoop.

Other sites and retailer sites have him as crowbar as well.
I'm wondering if it's one of the headmaster warriors but theyre all Autobots. I can't imagine who it might be.
Maybe just a new character. Maybe it's Wilder(Fangry) under a new name . That's a long shot but I have no idea

Well im assuming the Legends line will follow the path of Wheelie, Shockwave, Rewind, Condor, and Jaguar and only come with a titan master head. (No vehicle) So im guessing "Gong" is going to be the Japanese repaint of one of the many titan master heads that Hasbro released. If not, I stand corrected. But I dont see any evidence of "Gong" being Brawn. Especially since at BBTS and TFsource the $19.99 price point is consistant with previous legends releases that only come with a titan head. Takara isnt known for giving you more without upping the price. Could "Crobar" be Fangry? Maybe... But it just doesnt make sense for Takara to release the repugnus head without the repugnus body that was specifically made for it. But the price just dont seem right for that. My Guess is takara decided to release one figure from each scale. Triggerhappy as the deluxe, Kickback as the legends, and repugnus as the titan scale. I could be wrong. But if im right, then "gong" is nothing more than a name for the titan head that comes with the repugnus body. If the price was say $24.99, maybe than ill believe you get a legends scale figure, a vehicle, and a titan master head all in one set. Remember how scourge and blurr were 5 bucks less than the traditional headmasters that came with a vehicle?

The problem with that is Takara doesn't do repaints unless it's an 84-86 character and they also won't do characters they have no atatchments to unless it's a real odd one. That's why this crowbar character is such an oddity but he's probably gonna be some obscure character that only Takara knows and was never made into a toy but had some protype or design from the 80s
I'll be shocked if they even do topspin and twintwist. They never got released in Japan and they have zero Japanese fiction. Those are two things that stop certain characters from Takara releasing toys of. I'm amazed they even did Whirl and Roadbuster but they ended up making up their own fiction for them and shoehorning Tankor in and homaging him to a toy no one knew about. Japan is odd.

"Gong" is Brawn's Japanese name. So this set would be the Legends class Brawn with the Titan Master head of Repugnus.Rated X wrote:Sabrblade wrote:How do you mean? That's what Takara does, though. They released Apeface without his gorilla vehicle (which they instead gave to Weirdwolf) and will most likely do the same for Repugnus, omitting his monster vehicle while packing just his head with Legends class Brawn.Rated X wrote:But it just doesnt make sense for Takara to release the repugnus head without the repugnus body that was specifically made for it.

キックバック ("Kikkubakku") is definitely "Kickback", but クロバー ("Kurobā") wouldn't equate to "Crowbar" due to the ロ ("ro") vowel being a short length vowel. For it to be "Crowbar", the ロ ("ro") would have to instead be an extended ロー ("rō") vowel (i.e. - クローバー "Kurōbā"). Therefore, the name can't be "Crowbar" after all.
So what could it be? Well, クロバー ("Kurobā") can't equate to "Clover", but we can probably rule that out as not it. Snakas, however, suggests that it could instead be "Clobber", the Titan Master version of Grimlock.
Though, Japan already got the Clobber mold as Grimlock in the Headmasters 6-pack from before, so it'd be weird for them to get it again as the same character. Then again, that Grimlock did have a toy-accurate red visor instead of a show-accurate blue visor, so this could be a second chance for Japan to get a blue-visored version. Or, it could be a brand new guy named "Clobber" who isn't Grimlock but a brand new character. And possibly a Decepticon at that since it does come with Kickback, after all.
At the very least, we know now that the "Crowbar" name isn't phonetically accurate to クロバー ("Kurobā").

Repugnus was released as an individual Titan Master; he didn't have a body made for him. You might be thinking of his fellow Monsterbot Twinferno, who was released as a full Deluxe.

I think you somehow misunderstood my post. I'm talking about just the Titan Masters, not the full deluxe figure itself, repurposed as entirely new characters. There's a shortage of individual Decepticon Titan Master class figures from Hasbro, if they plan to keep doing Legends class figures they'll have to be more creative with their Decepticon heads like they were with Sharkticon and Scourge.
So it's actually Clouder? That was unexpected. I wonder who the head will be repainted from? Chasm? Ramhorn? They're the only ones I can think of that kinda fit.

Well, thanks to fellow Seibertronian Sabrblade once again as he's brought in a more accurate translation of the listing - rather than 'Crowbar', the Titan Master is in fact 'Clouder', the Japanese counterpart to Doubledealer and a character who starred in Masterforce alongside Ginrai, Overlord and all the rest. While we still don't have pictures so we don't know which pre-existing Hasbro head (if any) he'll be using, this nonetheless clears up some previous confusion. Check out Sabrblade's post below and discuss and speculate in the forums!
