The history on this figure is a little convoluted, so it is uncertain where this figure was originally meant to come out, but it has been postulated that it was originally supposed to go to Universal Studios, much like the Universal Studios Megatron release. This figure is currently available to preorder and is expected to see its full release in April.

Correct. NEST was from ROTF, and appeared again in DOTM and TF: The Ride.SpaceEagle wrote:I thought it was Sector 7 that appeared on all the Cybertron redecos...didn't NEST come after that?

My bad, mixed them up, but it's fixed now.
I like how it looks, I'm excited to get him!

Even when counting the Bumblebee movie, that one went back to Sector Seven, who (because of the time period and the movie's very loose attempt to still somewhat foreshadow the first movie) needed to still view the Autobots with suspicion and distrust.
When looking at the bigger picture of all six movies, NEST is probably the best government organization to come out of the films, yet it died with DOTM (save for, again, TF: The Ride) and was replaced with anti-Autobot groups.

Here's the ROTF Autobots we got last year, I really dig them!

Transformers Studio Series Core Class Shockwave (from the Bumblebee movie) has been on store shelves for a little while now. Maybe you've seen him and been undecided on picking it up, well if that's the case, these video reviews from some fellow Seibertronians!
First up is Ham-Man:
Next, we have Soundwave8084, who chimes in with his review of the tiny tactician.
Lastly, we have Chuckdawg1999, who offers his thoughts in writing and on video:
chuckdawg1999 wrote:The introduction of the Core Class to the Studio Series opens up the line to smaller-scale characters from the live-action movies like Wheelie and Brains. Of course, the first figure released is Shockwave. Don't forget, Core Class is also meant to be a cheaper price point to get named characters into people's hands. Shockwave is a cool figure, the transformation is fairly easy but as is the case when dealing with ball joints, the tightness of the joints can be a factor in how enjoyable the transformation is. Overall, Shockwave is a good figure and while I believe we will see a larger version at some point, this Core Class version can hold you over for the time being.
Do you have Shockwave? Has any of these reviews swayed you towards picking him up?
Let us know in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!

I feel the opposite, I think the face looks way better now that we're seeing it close up. I love all the details and the way the eyes look, she looks less like a marionette now.

Replace from where?
In a G1 display, she would look off. But in a general display, why not?
Personally, this Arcee won't replace anyone. She'll just enter my Arcee Harem! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Emerje wrote:Yeah, but in order to make those shoulder panels integrate better into the alt mode concept art they had to cheat. The concept art makes the shoulder panels much larger than would be possible from the movie CG and that would have meant them being even bigger in bot mode. What they did was try to find the sweet spot in between and I think they did a good job working it out. Only alternative would have been to use fake parts.
Emerje
Well then I would have preferred they just make them smaller then and more like the 3D model. At least then 1 of the two modes would look really good.

It's pretty standard fare that the CGI model cannot perfectly match the toy. Especially with the live action movie lines.
Best example is in AoE where the filmmakers didn't even bother to figure out how the hell can this:
transform into this:
I almost raged when I saw this crap on the silver screen way back then:
Unique Toys did what the initial designers couldn't. Making AoE Galvatron properly transform.
Seriously.
Granted, it's MP sized and is nearly 300$ but still, a 3P company figured it out:
Now the real question is. Will Hasbro / Takara figure out the transformation as a voyager with the budget that go with it without a "folding table" as a backpack like the original? We know it's in the work and is relatively soon to be revealed. Will they succeed?

Stinger was in the same boat, so following that model there’s going to be some truck kibble in bot mode, but it should still be a good representation of the CG model.

Bruv, that Thirdparty Galvatron looks great in robot mode. But man the damn thing just turns inside out. His guts are the truck. It's like reverse Shelforming or something.
Ontopic:
Arcee... I'm in love. She looks amazing, hope they repaint/retool her to death. Absolute must for me.
Brawn is also Amazing, still need to get Wheeljack.
I hope they redo Optimus with a simpler transformation. Both modes look good but he's not very solid in robot mode + the transformation gives me a headache.
Ironhide, a must as well. Already have Ratchet, great both modes.
I am loving these new Live Action Transformers. I hope they keep up this trend.

I know what you mean but no one us perfect I guess.

It looks like she's wearing a mask with her real face peeking out underneath through the eye holes.

Literally does not matter. I almost always see things at walmart first. showing up first at one retailer doesn't make a difference for where I commonly find things

They both have their place, one isn't wrong or right for liking either
Back on topic, I'm eagerly keeping an eye out for Brawn and Wheeljack, going to pass on Ratchet until Ironhide hits the scene. So far the Cores have shown up around here so the rest can't be far behind

The "drooling shrapnel Geiger faces" works because they are pure alien. The "human" like faces of the Bee Movie bots strike that uncanny valley feeling.

Absolutely not. There's very few if any Bayverse bots that I like the look of.
