whew......well, that makes me feel better. If this were a US figure, I'd be griping that my swerve collection was in jeparody of being incomplete, but I don't count foreign TFs as part of US sets, which is mainly what I collect. If I did, I'd be buying up a sh*tload of Binaltech & Kiss Players figures to complete my Alternator collection.

South Korea by Daewoo, whom GM bought a few years back after they went bankrupt.

It's suprising this isn't available in the country the movie was mostly geared towards. But GM is pushing the Chinese market pretty hard because it's growing so fast and they have an awesome foothold there, so I guess they feel they want a connection there too.

If it's being made in China and there's money to be made there will be plenty of KOs coming soon enough.

Considering it's rare for a Transformer mould to go without being repainted and sold again a few months later, I seriously SERIOUSLY doubt they created an entirely new mould just to use it for promotional giveaways in China.

I hope that we will see this sometime in the future in the Universe line

Yeah, it'll surely end up as something else. Maybe in this case they released the crappy version first for the Chinese, and we'll get a nicer repaint.

That is just too bad, this is one of the best transformers I have seen recently.

Wait'l we see one of these on ebay in a few. I'm willing to bet the prices will sky rocket, if not be pretty high.

why not just release these figures same with that botcon seeker stuff....its obvious that toy fans want them. hasbro is so dumb they will pump out a shit load of shitty repaints that will sit on the shelves but not produce stuff that they have different molds for and that the fans would be clammering for hasbro folks are brain dead

Seriously, we've seen quite a few auctions now (there was 11 yesterday ) aaaaaaannnnnndddddd they have "Transformers Universe" instructions in English! Odd for any toy that wouldn't be seeing a US release...

To me this would indicate that Swerve is indeed coming to the US as part of Universe, and being distributed as an odd promo item in China like the "USA Editions" have been with Toy Dream Project or E-Hobby.

There's just no way Hasbro is going to do an all new mold and not milk it for all it's worth :p

I'm betting Hasbro will at least use the mold in the USA for the Universe line in 2008.

It bears a resemblance to the dancing Citreon Transformer. I imagine the version we end up seeing will be silver instead of that rather nifty red paint scheme.
