Right off the heels of the Cloud Hellwarp images, E-bay seller lena81822 has posted images of upcoming Transformers Cloud TFC-A04 Autobot Roadbuster to go with the toy's listings. Cloud Roadbuster uses the Generations Roadbuster mold with deco homaging Energon Ironhide.

Speaking of those colors, I always did prefer the deco of Super Link Roadbuster over Energon Ironhide. It's just too bad that the latter was the more show-accurate version.Samsonator wrote:I must admit, the Roadbuster mold does look fantastic in those colours.

So pay Lena prices for it instead (about 40-50$)

TBH I'd be hesitant to suggest those. I've bought quite a few and about a third of them have had far to tight ball joints and when you try to move the limb the piss poor plastic breaks before you even realise there is a problemshajaki wrote:Tresob wrote:If you gave him a targetmaster he might make an even better Crosshairs...

Same here. I got them and have no issues. Granted I am very careful with them and dont transform them on a regular basis like some collectors who fiddle with their toys all the time. I contemplated buying this roadbuster to be crosshairs, but then I figured somebody eventually will do all the targetmasters in a more proper fashion. Then I would be stuck with yet another high priced repaint to join my pile of funpub exclusives that ended up getting an original figure down the line. Instead, I opted to buy cloud rodimus. I think its time to start displaying protector in vehicle mode for a while.

Be VERY careful. The last one that broke for me had be transformed a few times, then suddenly the join seized up, and snap!shajaki wrote:sorry to hear that. i just bought the recent re-releases and have had no issues with them.Arctorro wrote:TBH I'd be hesitant to suggest those. The Cloud stuff was already on sale for $72, and as of last week they're remaining stock is at $68... I'm still waiting for this week's, though. I've got my eye on that Starscream.

Sure are! Originally I didn't clue in, but the back wings really call back to the seeker homage Hellwarp is portraying!megatronus wrote:Are those sharks... all yours??

Don't tell me that Cloud made aspects of the Movie Universe leak into other Universes, that's FunPub's job

I bought Cloud Roadbuster to use as G1 Crosshairs and Cloud Rodimus to give FP Protector a much needed chance to display his awesome alt mode. I dont need any of the other Cloud figures. They missed a tremendous oppurtunity to do Cybershark.

It's a more active version of FunPub's TransTech, really IMO... The somewhat open ending could lead to a sequel line, only with Deluxes. Vehicon Soundwave and Jhiaxus anyone?

I love the Cloud figures. I think Cloud Optimus is the best deco of that mold to date (for Prime), and the rest do really interesting things. Not to mention that the quality and paint are top-notch.
X, if they're not for you, then they're not for you. But it's nearly impossible to argue these weren't well thought out or conceived. Besides, I'm also using Cloud Roadbuster as Classics Crosshairs.

Also, hooded Megatron is always awesome, regardless of continuity.

I second the praise of Cloud Optimus Prime. That deco is spot on for G1 cartoon accuracy enthusiasts. I switched out the black wind vane for the all red one that came with the TRU AoE Optimus two-pack (the red plastics match pretty well, if not absolutely perfectly). Add in the blaster and energon axe from Generations Orion Pax, and you have yourself a beautiful G1-Classics Prime.

Oh, you should have seen what Hasbro did with the mass retail Transformers: Universe line back in 2003-2006.Rated X wrote:"Cloud" is just the drunken Japanese version of Shattered Glass in my opinion.
No, not the second Classics line from 2008. That was the second line to be called "Transformers: Universe". No, I'm speaking of the first line to be called "Transformers: Universe", which came out in 2003 and was nothing but funky redeco of older molds.

Sometimes as new characters to boot. Look at Frostbite, Reptillion, Razorclaw, King Atlas, Stockade and Magna Stampede

Were these mass retail releases a la Universe 1.0 I'd have bought all of them in a heartbeat.

I love this comparison. Granted, I like the figures, I'm just now imagining a drunk Japanese man with an airbrush repainting his toys in bonkers ways. Optimus and Brawn aren't super different-y because he passed out too soon. He was in a dark place the night Hellwarp got done. Did shrooms and read MTMTE and then boom, Cloud Rodimus. Yep, that's definitely what happened, and I'm glad you pointed this out
