The fifth wave of Universe Legends figures features Wheelie, Cosmos, Warpath and Rodimus, and this image is the first time that these figures have been publicly seen, with previous images only released in the TFCC magazine. The fifth wave of Legends figures is due in stores in January 2009.
The third wave of the Marvel Transformers figures will feature Captain America as a Hummer, Thor as a Prop Plane, War Machine as a Jet and Carnage as a muscle Car. It is expected that these figures will also be available in January 2009.

I may even get Wheelie. I don't know on him though.

I'm glad (and somewhat amazed) that Warpath isn't just a repaint of the recent Legends Megatron!

Warpath appears to have more articulation now and Cosmos certainly looks more streamlined. Until Drift comes out I may actually end up buying more Legends and RH figures than Deluxe class from any of the other lines. They certainly seem to be improving their approach to designing them.

I just picked up Prime, Prowl and BB tonight and I can't wait for the next two amazing waves!
I honestly think I'm looking forward to these more than I am Cyclonus and Hound.

No, I'd be a giant robot that turned into a plane!
Ohhh, I see what you did there.

Cosmos looks good also, Not as nice as the canceled Titanium version. But it is better than nothing I suppose.

These look like they'll be the best Legends since Cyb Starscream, et al.

I'm also liking Thor. I've seen the pics of the alt mode, and it's supposed to be an A-10 Thunderbolt (get it), not a prop plane like the image says.
Looking closely at Cap, does he look like a remold of the Wolverine crossover? Maybe he just has a similar bot mode, I dunno.

And I want ALL the G1 Legends now That Warpath is causing drool on my keyboard

...well, never mind. I guess we'll just own up to the fact that some of us may actually go out and buy a Wheelie figure since Hasbro has finally given us one that is even better than we imagined.
I just don't know about Thor being a prop plane. It seems a little...insulting... to have a God relegated to the form of a prop job. Should have been something solid, devastating or immovable.
Tank was already done, construction rig seems too grungy for Thor but there has to be something else dignified...Space Shuttle!!!
Large, Thunderously loud, powerful and far mor dignified than a simple plane. Who's with me on this?
Why do I hear crickets chirrping in the background?
He's an A-10 Thunderbolt? Yeah, Thunderbolt, I get it...well, if not a shuttle I'll settle for the play on the name. At least it's not a prop. plane. Probably has sparks flying out of it's...

Its in a deleted scene from the movie, I'm sure
I've gotta say the only one I Don't like is War Machine...he'd be so much cooler as a tank. That, and the repaint pretty much looks like the MK II armor from the movie, rather than a good representation of War Machine (It should be black and white I believe)
Carnage would be a loss, except that i've allready got plans to kitbash him into Pimpmobile Deadpool I gotta see if I can find him a to scale fuzzy hat...

Looks like the War Machine in my old comics, and the one I had as an action figure as a kid. The red is a bit of an eye-sore though.
Thor as an A-10? I'd always thought of him as an AC-130 Gunship, but the A-10 is probably a better choice. Hope the paint job lines up in jet mode. Although, since it's one of the less mechy ones, I'm probably even less likely to get it. I want Iron-Man and still haven't brought myself to put down the cash.

Anyone know what the dealio with WarPath's alt mode is? Is that his cybertronian alt mode? Pretty sure there aren't any earth tanks with 4 separate treads.

The world has gone mad indeed. I think Wheelie has the highest success rate of any figure. 3 have been made, G1, Legends and Jizai toys, and 2 of them look pretty damn nice. 66% succss rate there. If that applied to all TFs, wouldn't we be sitting pretty now.

Diem wrote:Wow, the legends as minibots thing works well. I wonder if we'll also see Cassettebots in the legends line...
I hope so. Personally I'd love to have the full 1984 (for starters) line of toys in Classics/Universe. We've had more than half of them already, but the majority of the remainder are minibots and cassettes so it would be great to have those guys updated with modern toy technology.

Sledge wrote:Why settle for updating minibots and cassettes into Legends when they could be done as Scouts?
Legends size would keep the cassettes the same size as the Ravage that comes with Hound, and if they 2-packed them like they did the movie legends, we could get the same pairings that we had in the 80s, which would encourage Hasbro to make Squawkbox and Slamdance. And of course, they might even fit in G1 Soundwave, which would be a plus IMO.
I'd prefer the Minibots had been done as scouts, but if Target's movie exclusives are any indicator, scouts are no longer the great value (price wise) that they used to be.

I would love to see them as scouts, but I love the legends class figures. I hope wave six has Windcharger, Pipes, Cliffjumper and Gears.

Don't get me wrong. He looks great which is probably why they rebuilt him anyway, just to prove they could make a decent one, but c'mon. On the list of Transformers that need a Classics version did he really need to be so high on the list?
Where's my Classics Shockwave and Arcee?

Yep, the Apoccalypse is coming! Time to ask ourselves "Where is everyone going and why are we all in this handbasket?"

Sledge wrote:The size thing already got blown away with Deluxe size Cliffy and BB. Not to mention Powerglide. I've got nothing against Legends class, I love the little buggers, but I want to see some nicely articulated Scout versions as well. Come on, how can anyone not want Cybertron Hard Top/Swindle repainted as Beachcomber?
I agree - I would rather have most of the Legends in the Scout class for the reasons you mentioned.
How are Legends typically sold? Will these four be part of a 4-pack?

UK prices, £3 each. Unless you shop in the Entertainer, where they randomly mark some stuff up.
