Jetpower Optimus Prime is a mold that was made based off the combination featured in Revenge of the Fallen. Optimus has his robot and vehicle mode, while Jetfire is rather non-existent, acting as armor in Prime's robot mode, and as boosters in vehicle mode.

That's where the awesome ends for me. It's still Voyager Prime (hate that mold), it's a dead husk of Jetfire (literally), and the combined mode isn't so important to me that it ruins Jetfire and Optimus in their Leader Class sizes, for me.
No thanks, pass.

You never know, Hasbro might just do it for TF3's toyline (though jetfire won't be in it), if we keep asking nicely.

Prime is a voyager class. I don't know if it's identical to the original or if they have made some changes to allow the combination but it's basically the voyager figure from 07 with nice paint.

Jetparts here is kind of the Godbomber to ROTF Prime's Ginrai, except that Godbomber at least looked alive.

How about not? Hasbro has officially stated time and time again they have no plans on making a Leader Class Blackout/Grindor/any other minor character now or in the future.
Back to Jetpower Voyager Prime, that's an upgrade I'm willing to buy. Anyone buying it for the Prime alone?

I don't think there will be an American version, imo. None of the current imports were featured in the Toy Fair.

Definitely me.. but I am torn between this and new Voyager mold.

hasbro also stated we where not going to be getting drift figue anywhere or anytime in the future i look for past Q&A with hasbro dont feel like it. but where getting one this year, there not part of hasbro but takara said there will be no plans of rerelasing mp grimlock once they sellout but we get repaint, & us version, same message with henakie dirge & thrust but where getting one of them to the us, and we may not get or never see in the future again another transformers univers toy line again but here comes 3.0.
just saying not trying to start fight here some of things here that hasbro & takra has told us may want to second guess some things here & there they could be telling this stuff to through us off the track didnt hasbro said to we are not going to produce any more aniamted figures but where getting ironhide, hotrod, rodimus, arcee, and few more others.
but leader class grindor/blackout who knows be intersting to see but it could either.
if it comestate side ill get it mostly for combined form & another voyager prime

Wait, I did not know this was JP only
That's a bit of a disappointment.
The set looks really nice combined, it is a shame the jet parts don't form a complete plane though. Even if it didn't have a bot mode, forming a plane instead of a pile of crap would have been nice.
After the new voyager Prime was shown the other day, I kind of assumed this set would use that mold, but I guess not. That's cool.
You'll be able to combine it with your 50+ other Voyager primes

I like the Voyager mold, and have the Robovision from Movie 1. This will be nice addition, love the paint apps! I wonder what minor mold changes there are to accomodate the combination?

The combination looks pretty cool. The paint scheme looks even better than Robo Vision Prime, and other than the blade on the left arm, and likely a peg to hold his 2 guns there, there doesn't seem to be much remolding to the figure.
Pretty cool.
As for Price, since Prime is Voyager, I'd say the Price for it would be Leader Class Pricing. To make up for the Jetpack.

So far, there is no remold. I remind seeing a picture wher we could see how the blade was attached. Actually, it attaches on the peg placed on the front part of the forearm and the jetfire part will surely hold the two guns, while being attached on the two holes that the forearm armor has.

Probably, but oh well, I reckon he looks severely f**king awesome. I own the First Strike Optimus, so I could utilize this movie accurate Optimus.
Let's see, this could be the.. Final Battle Prime in my collection? I mean, that works. It has the sword, the armour, the guns and the awesome attachments.
All-in-All, looks like win!

Yeah! And his "talking" gimmic in robot mode is his face splitting into 3 pieces and him screaming, "NOOOOO!" I can see that already!
Posted by STngAR on February 16th, 2010 @ 5:01pm CST
This is just another voyager Prime with pieces that dont do nothing but plug here and there..... I know... I'll call him megablock prime
Big pass for me
Posted by Fearing on February 17th, 2010 @ 6:44am CST
Having the Jetfire parts not be able to make Jetfire doesn't really bother me too much. That's probably more movie accurate anyway as he's dead and just gives parts of himself to Prime, and they don't seem to be able to rebuild him after Prime's done with the parts, so no complaints on that.

Perhaps Buzz can make use of them? Heh.
If I remember correctly, Prime sorta quickly shrugged them off like dandruff. Nice way to treat a fallen friend who just helped you, eh? What they should do is have Jetfire's parts recycled into a new 'bot and call him Skyfire. That way they could get some extra repaint use of the mold and would make fandom very happy at the same time. That's what they would do if they were clever...

Well that's expensive. Won't be importing it then. $79.05 + about 30 for shipping = 109.05 for a Voyager figure I already own one of, and a black jet pack. That is not a good deal.
Guess I'll wait for Hasbro's version as long as its not more than a Leader Class figure.

Yea I finally decided to get this.. too awesome to miss.. I also have The TFTM First Strike OP, this is the 1st time I ever get the same mold cause the paint job and the powered up mode is just really nice.
