Though including a minicon in there would really sweeten the deal.

Gives me high hopes for a updated figure for Optimus, red alert, hot shot, demolisher, cyclonus, smokescreen, blurr, wheeljack, sideways and the other Armada cast aside from thrust as he is getting a update sometime near April 2016

On topic, though, this guy looks awesome. Loving that deep rich blue.

The Club is doing Skywarp because Takara is doing this figure. The Club doesn't want people to feel that the trio is incomplete, so they're giving us the last missing member.Delta Magnus wrote:Bugger. If Skywarp weren't a BotCon exclusive I'd pick up this guy, Starscream and Skywarp and have them as my Seeker trio. As it stands though...maybe if Takara releases Skywarp themselves...

Armada Skywarp is not a BotCon exclusive. It's a TFCC exclusive. You need only buy that figure if you want it, not a whole boxed set or something. If you're not currently a member of the club, you'll have to buy a year's membership, of course, but completing your Armada "seeker trio" is definitely doable. As a bonus, if you do get a membership soon enough, the "free" bonus figure this year is Armada Ramjet. With Thrust coming from Takara with the Unite Warriors Grand Galvatron set, all you would need for the second trio is for Hasbro, the TFCC, or Takara to do a Dirge repaint of UW Thrust.

Is it possible to get TFCC figures from other online sellers like BBTS?

Sometimes. It depends on if the third party re-sellers think it's worthwhile to invest in a particular item the club puts out. They're going to be selling at a mark up above what you would pay to buy directly from the TFCC, so it's got to be something that they know will continue to draw interest for a while. Essentially, they'd need to buy a bunch of stock and wait until the TFCC has no more of whatever figure to sell to the public to entice late comers to buy from the aftermarket to get what they want at a premium price.

Understandable. Currently I am not a TFCC member, so I can't get figures from there, unless I get them at a much higher price somewhere else. :I

E-bay is a better bet for the secondary TFCC market than BBTS. You can always go in the BST forums and make a new thread where you ask someone who has a membership to help you out and you can work out the fee you'd give them as a middle man.

Hmmm yeah, Ebay sounds easier though. I may keep that secondary option in the back of my mind though.

What's more is that the blue and red are the same shades as the original Micron Densetsu Starscream Super Mode toy instead of the less nicer blue and red of the original Armada Thundercracker toy.OptimalOptimus2 wrote:I'll get this toy just for the blue. No kidding.

That said, I'm satisfied with Hasbro's like everyone else he so far. The pink highlights clash with the rest I of the color scheme and the paint just can't quite capture the look of the glowing bits. Takara's WFC and FoC figures had the same problem IMHO.

Yeah, they should've just all been leader class figures with fiber-optics running along their bodies

I think that takara's pink highlights on the FOC figures works better because there are outlines and details meant reflect the energon glow. They were just left unpainted in the north american domestic release.

Same. This looks lovely and I'm tempted but I could save a lot just getting the reprolables to give him those accents. It is very nice though.
Now Jhiaxus on the other hand, even if it's an ehobby like drift I'll pay that price for G2 colors

I share the same feelings. Though I do like the black constrasting against the missile pods. The fact that it will be 2-3 years between the Hasbro and Takara version gives those who couldnt get or dont have the Hasbro one another chance to get this mold/character, so thats awesome!

Ha! I hope it wouldn't take that much!
I didn't mean to sound like I was complaining about what they didn't do, but just observe what they might not be able to do. I'm just not convinced they can get paint that looks like that kind of glow (and not...you know...paint), at least not within even Takara's higher budget guidelines.
I should have mentioned that my Hasbro figure is Reprolabled. The foil decals do a fairly good job, since they have a patterned design and the reflectiveness "lights" them, but that's not something I'd automatically expect or demand from Hasbro or Takara.
Now, if you all will excuse me, I'm off to search my soul for why I think pink stripes on blue and red is ugly, yet enjoy Jhihaxus' orange deco.

I don't think it's that hideous.
And why can't anyone just simply just say the pink is ugly or awful without going into awful exaggerations?

Initially I wasn't impressed with the mold when I bought Hasbro Crosscut until I figured out he did actually have some shoulder articulation. And the fact you can hide most of his weaponry pretty easily so he doesn't always have to look like an insane commando. Legs are a bit fiddly for my tastes but I can live with it.

I can tell you as a proud owner of that Skids figure that it is amazing and the head sculpt is awesome. congrats on the first pre order! my first one was the TAV 29 Bee, and that turned out very well!

In both cases you are ordering online in english using paypal. The only thing I can think of is ease of mind if something goes wrong. Of course, if its sold out in japan, than BBTS is a good place to go, but I am still wondering why it would be a go to place. And other places in japan have pile of loot systems but obviously dont sell hasbro products so I guess its because people can get both there. Still, I am unsure if most people simply dont buy from japan due to simply not knowing and thinking it could be harder, withut realising the potential massive savings.
Any colector here can quickly tell you the hundres bucks they probably saved last year from getting their takara products from japan.

Ignorance on my part. I didnt know it was available that way as I've never ordered from Japan before, and I didnt really do any research.
